How to switch Premiere Pro from YUV to RGB

Hello
First of all, sorry if there are mistakes in my sentences, I'm french. (but I don't want to post in french forums, because I want to improve my english !)
I'm having some problems on Premiere Pro.
Indeed, I have many shots on After Effects that looks good...
But strangely, when I import them in Premiere, they turn into a mess : there are ugly "strips" that appears...
From what I was told, that quality loss is due to a difference between Premiere Pro and After Effects colorspaces : After Effect is RGB, as Premiere Pro is YUV.
So now, what I'm trying to do is to switch Premiere Pro from YUV to RGB.
Does anybody know how I can do this ? I looked into "Sequence Settings" and "Media" (export) windows, but unfortunately I couldn't find any form allowing me to make that change...
If someone can help me, I would be grateful to him
Thank you for your attention !
Kind regards,
Babada

Oh...
Here are direct links to these screenshots :

On Premiere Pro => http://imageshack.us/a/img196/999/zzt8.png
Please let me know if it's OK.

What you see in shadows (colour banding) is a result of compression. What are your export settings in After Effects?
Are you sure ? As I have written, if I export an .AVI from After Effects, the video file is perfectly clean, there is no coulour banding. But if I happen to import the .AVI file in Premiere Pro, at this moment, the PP preview will be coulour banded.
Anyway here are my After Effects export settings (just in case) :

  • How to switch premiere pro from pc to mac

how to I get my premeire pro off of my old pc laptop and onto my new iMac?

    Hi,
You haven't mentioned the version of Premiere Pro that you are using. If you are on Creative Cloud, you don't need to worry about switching.

  • How much does Premiere Pro and After Effects rely on the hard drive it's installed on?

This may be a really dumb question, but how much does Premiere Pro and After Effects rely on the hard drive it's installed on if all your video files, assets, disk cache, etc are on different drives than the one the program itself is installed on?
The reason I am asking is that I currently have a "relatively" slow Sata II SSD for my C drive that has just my OS (windows 7 64bit) and programs (adobe editing programs, no games) installed on it and nothing else. All of the files used in my projects are saved on either a very fast Sata III SSD or a slower HDD depending on what the files are. For example, disk cache on the Sata III, stills on the HDD.
Being cyber monday I have the opportunity to buy another very fast Sata III SSD to replace my current Sata II SSD C Drive (just OS and programs). Both synthetic and real world benchmarks show a near double in performance. I just want to know if anyone thinks the upgrade is even worth it because for all I know there won't be any increase in performance since no videos, still, cach, etc will be stored on the C Drive.
The alternative is to get a second monitor because I currently only use one 21" monitor.
I suppose another alternative would be to not buy anything on the cyber monday deals and just save money for something else.
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Alex! I think you are right about not being able to notice the difference between the SSDs. I ended up finding a deal to get about $80 off a great monitor that I've been looking at for a while and decided to pull the trigger on it. I thought about it and realized that there have already been a bunch of times where I want to watch a tutorial on youtube and follow allong in AE or PrePro, but have to keep switching windows. I also frequently want to have my video preview on a separate monitor so I can have a taller timeline window. This monitor will help a lot with that. Thanks again for your help!

  • Why can't I download Adobe Premiere Pro from the cloud- have tried repeatedly, followed all the post

Why can't I download Adobe Premiere Pro from the cloud- have tried repeatedly, followed all the posted advice- all other programs have downloaded without a hitch.... what's the deal?

    Hi Clearly Stated,
Maybe try downloading the Premiere Pro trial and then licensing it?
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=premiere_pro
After you install just covert it to be licensed as part of Creative Cloud using the "License This Software" option shown here.

  • Can I change the fisheye look through premiere pro, from a GoPro camera?

Can I change the fisheye look through premiere pro, from a GoPro camera?

That depends, at least in part, on which platform you're. [That and the exact version of Premiere Pro you have are two data points that you should always include...]
On Windows, Premiere has an effect called Lens Distortion.  I'm not sure what your options are on Mac. If someone else doesn't come along with suggestions for Mac, then Googling "'Premiere Pro" mac fisheye GoPro" yields some promising hits.

  • Trouble Installing Premiere Pro from CS 5.5 Master Collection Discs

All of the Master Collection programs install properly, except for Premiere Pro. I retried several times to install it, but to no avail. Finally, out of frustration, I downloaded a trial version of Premiere Pro just to see if it would install, and lo and behold it worked. Except now the Master Collection Serial Number won't work in the trial version of Premiere Pro. Help?!?

L Greg Volsen you need to install Premiere Pro from the Master Collection installer for the serial number to be accepted.  There is some very good news here though as Premiere Pro did install ok.  I would recommend removing Premiere Pro and then running the Adobe Support Advisor to help identify any problems.
Once you have reviewed the solution provided, or even if it was unable to identify any problems, and either install Premiere Pro, to get your immediate need resolved, or install all of the applications.  If you do run into errors you can run the Adobe Support Advisor again to look at why the most recent installation may have failed.
Alternately you can also review the installation logs manually by reviewing Troubleshoot CS5 and CS5.5 installation with install logs.
Feel free to respond to this thread if you have any questions or run into any additional difficulties.  I believe the Premiere Pro CS5.5 trial is also fully functional so you may still be able to get your immediate needs addressed.

  • How to use Premiere Pro for live shoots (newbie needing some answers)

My school is about to delve into the world of live streaming.  We have a homemade Tricaster setup of sorts which allows for us to use three camcorders through as switcher which allows for some nice streaming capabilities.
My question is, how do I use Premiere Pro, or something else, to run live titles/graphics, etc. into the production?  You know, things like lower thirds, etc.?
Is this as simple as running another computer into a source on the switcher?  If so, how do I get the graphics etc. to appear as simple key pages?
Sorry, I've never used Adobe during a live shoot before.
I'd love for someone in the know to explain the workflow here.  Thank you so much!
I'd also be interested in knowing best practices for running b-roll into the switcher.  PP again?  Same computer as the graphics or a seperate one?

I dont't 'know anything from Adobe that could do this.

  • How to switch Macbook pro screen to projector in Windows

    Hi guy,
I've bought a Macbook Pro Intel based and I've installed O/S Windows XP on it.
When I use Windows, I want to change my screen to projector for my presentation but I can not do this. I pressed hot keys from F1-F10 on my Macbook Pro but there's no signal on my Projector.
When I use Leopard, it's working well but in Windows is not.
Could you please help me how to switch screen to projector in Windows installed on a Macbook Pro?
    Thanks and best regards,
    David

I dont have access to an XP machine but im sure you can access the external display via right clicking on the desktop and try extending to second desktop or using the ATi controlling software to use the secondary display.
afaik theres no way to use the Function buttons (on a mac) like you would on a normal laptop.

  • Importing files into Premiere Pro from DVD

Using the CS3 Version of Premiere Pro...
Ok on my DVD recorder I have a load of recorded programs, I'm now trying to import them on to my computer and then edit them on Premiere Pro. Now I can't even play these files, well I can't seem to play any videos from DVDs. (I think I need to download something in able for me to do it, that's a different issue but if anyone could help me with that I would be grateful too. The message that comes up for it is "Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video. You might need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try lowering your screen resolution and color quality settings".)
Okay anyway to the real issue, these files are not able to be imported into Premiere Pro as they are not the right format.
Ok on the disc it has two folders, "VIDEO_RM" & "VIDEO_TS".
In the "VIDEO_RM" folder, they are all under the same name as the folder but one is a BUP file, one is a IFO file and the other a DAT file. The DAT file is the one that is the biggest size, the other two being 32kb.
In the "VIDEO_TS" folder, there is a "VIDEO_TS" BUP file, a "VIDEO_TS" IFO file, a "VIDEO_TS" VOB file, a "VTS_01_0" BUP file, a "VTS_01_0" IFO file, a "VTS_01_1" VOB file, a "VTS_01_2" VOB file and a "VTS_01_3" VOB file. The VOB files are the bigger files.
Ok if you aren't lost by now or haven't given up on me, what do I do now? I can't get these into my Premiere Pro project, I've heard stuff saying I need to convert it but all these convertion programs are complicated or I need to pay to be able to convert it or convert it with some text over it.
Is there a way of importing these files into Premiere Pro through a different method than normal, or do I have to convert them? If so does anyone reccomend any programs.
I'll appreciate any help and feedback given. I've been trying to work this out for the last few months trying to create a project for my Dad for Christmas but only now I've plucked up the courage to ask.
    Thanks,
    Andrew Mountier

  • Question, how to reactivate Premiere Pro 2.0

I had to replace my hard drive and cannot reactivate Premiere Pro 2.0. How do I reactivate?

    CS2 Activation Server http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l
    From that link...
Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7, because of a technical issue. These products were released more than seven years ago, do not run on many modern operating systems, and are no longer supported. Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. The serial numbers provided as a part of the download may only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products

  • How to get Premiere Pro to access all of the professional codecs?

    Hello,
Premiere Pro CC does not open projects that use any of the professional codecs, such as R3D or ProRes. It also has no presets available to create projects based on R3D, DSLR, etc. just presets for DV and a minimum number of older presets.
I have read that the problem could be due to an activation issue. Since the software was installed from a package created by CCP, there are no options to deactivate and then activate again.
I have two lab images. The first is just the Adobe video bundle. The second is the web/design bundle AND the video bundle. Premiere Pro is fine with the computers with just the video bundle. The one lab with both bundles is giving us the problem. I created the two installer packages based on the two serial numbers I have (one for each bundle).
I tried creating one installer for that lab using the serial number for the web/design bundle, but included all applications available to us. I uninstalled both bundles from a computer, restarted, ran the Adobe cleaner, and then installed all of the apps again. The Premiere Pro issue remains.
I assume the two bundles are still in conflict, but I don't know how to resolve it. OR, is there something else out there that can make Premiere use all of its codecs and settings?
All machines are running MacOS 10.8.4
    Thanks!

    Update
I installed the design/web bundle on a computer where Premiere was working properly and after installing, Premiere continued to work properly. I am sure that is how I made the master for that lab (video bundle first > image for film program computers > add web/design for shared lab image), but it seems to work.
For now I will make a new master and re-image the lab, which sucks because we are in our third week of classes, but our film students can't do their work in our best lab with Premiere broken.

  • How to use Premiere Pro CS4 and AE together to stabilize a shaky video.

    Hello,
I know where to find and apply the stabilization tool in AE CS4, problem is I don't really understand compositions. I have a very very basic understanding of AE in general, more so the workflow and what some of the buttons here and there do.
Maybe this will be easier to answer.
I have my raw footage in Premiere Pro Cs4 right now, before I edit it I want to stabilize it. How to a connect PP and AE?
Will AE change the quality of my video? I need to keep it HD. I'm in a professional setting.
I do I take the stabilized video from AE and put it back into PP for further editing?
And finally, maybe this is redundant, but do I have to export out of AE or can I put the edited work back into PP for the rendering (exporting) process?
I can clarify on anything you need if I'm not making sense.
Thanks in advance for you the help!
    -Mark

The "Working with After Effects and Premiere Pro" page gives an overview of the ways to move data back and forth between Premiere Pro and After Effects, and it also includes links to a few basic video tutorials on the subject.
It sounds like you need to learn the basics of After Effects first. I suggest starting on this page.

  • Export to Premiere Pro from Audition has stopped working...

    Hello guys,
When I've finished an edit in Premiere I send it to Audition via Edit>Edit in Adobe Auditoin>Sequence.
But when I've finished in Audition and try to send it back via Multitrack>Export to Premiere Pro (sent as each track as a stem), Audition processes the session and then tries to send it back to Premiere.
The screen jumps back to Premiere as usual, but instead of seaing the pop-up window to insert new tracks as it should do, nothing happens. I've ran lots of tests to see what is going wrong, and can't find it. Somewhere on the journey into Premiere, the process stops and I really, really liked this feature.
Can anybody shed some light on why this has suddenly stopped working? I have made no changes to the installation of either Premiere or Audition, and neither have any plug-ins or extras.
    Hope you can help,
    Thanks

    Hi,
I have the same problem to import files from audition. It save the work in .xml what I can load in premiere but automaticly it will not work.
