How to switch the URL?

Experts:
I notice that when I access some portal's URL and once I hit "RETURN", the displayed URL switches to
a totally different URL.
Could you tell me where is this switch defined?

I have done some research on this.
My problem is that if I type url www.abc.com/irj, after hitting return, it becomes www.xyz.com/irj.
Is that www.xyz.com defined in the table httpurlloc at the backend system?
I have no access to the backbend therefore I cannot verify.

A URL like http://www.example.com/index.php?id_sezione=360&sid=3a5ebc944f41daa6f849f730f1, is much less appealing to users.
Consider using punctuation in your URLs. The URL http://www.example.com/green-dress.html is much more useful to us than http://www.example.com/greendress.html. Google recommends that you use hyphens (-) instead of underscores (_) in your URLs.
Overly complex URLs, especially those containing multiple parameters, can cause a problems for crawlers by creating unnecessarily high numbers of URLs that point to identical or similar content on your site. As a result, Googlebot may consume much more bandwidth than necessary, or may be unable to completely index all the content on your site.

You can do it one of two ways:
1. Insert some CSS that will change the target to "_new".
2. Change the field that the user enters information in to a single line of text, then create a calculated column that is:
=CONCATENATE("<a href=",[URL Field]." target=new>Click here</a>")
Format that as a number.

You can use velocity templates and javascript to achieve what you need.
Update confirm_end_session_screen.vm to
1. dynamically call the end session URL using ajax(?) to actually close the active OPA session
2. redirect user to the third-party application when the OPA session is closed

How to reset the URLs on podcast feeds?

Our family computer has Yahoo Parental Controls installed. Somehow this has "corrupted" the URLs of some of my podcast subscriptions. For example, when I try to update one of the subscriptions I get this error:
"ABC's LOST: The Transmission" does not seem to be a valid Podcast URL. Please check that you have entered the correct URL and try again.
So I go to the end of the row for that podcast to check what URL it is trying to grab from and see this:
URL http://ypc.yahoo.com/blockedaccess.html?.ver=3.08&.type=lookup&.url=ww...
Somehow the correct URL has been swapped out for this yahoo "blocked access" page, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to revert the URL to the original one. iTunes doesn't seem to have a way to hack at that URL.
Now you are probably saying, "HA! There isn't anything wrong here. the parental controls are working like they are supposed to."
Not so -- it did this when iTunes tried to update itself without someone logging in to Yahoo Parental Controls first, not because the podcast was "objectionable".
In fact, I can resubscribe with no problem to the same podcast - but then I have two podcasts in my list of subscriptions with the same name, but with different content - yuck.
So, what I want to know is -- how can I hack the URL when it gets "corrupted" like this? Is there a text file (xml) that I can edit that has the urls for each of my subscribed podcasts? And why can't a user edit this in the first place?!

I hunted around for a file that contains the iTunes podcast subscription data to no avail. So I turned to another podcast client: I found that you can edit the URLs in iPodder Lemon even after you subscribe. ( http://ipodder.sourceforge.net/index.php ) So I guess I will just switch over to iPodder until Apple makes it possible to alter URLs of subscribed podcasts.

I export this component into Portal and i tested with an iView based on this par file, i got the URL in the Preview.
But when i tried to run this URL by adding the http://<IPADDRESS>:<PORTNO>+URL
I am facing one AccessDenied Exception for this Object. ( USER/GUEST)
Is there any security zone, or other Permissions Problem, if so can you plz guide me what are the settings i have to change inorder to resolve this exception

I have a cold fusion page(say cf.cfm) that sent a request to xsql page(say test.xsql) and then xsql page displays results. I want to capure the URL of cf.cfm page and then after checking its host name and path name for correctness then want to display the test.xsql results.
Please let me know how can I capture URL of the refered page(cf.cfm) in the Custom Handler and then I want to extract host-name and path-name out of that url and on the basis of their values I want to display the result of XSQL page(test.xsql).

I am working on BPM Worklist and in BPM Worklist we have created a Custom ADF Application.
What BPM Worklist does is :- it shows the task associated to the user and when user double click on the task , it opens the custom ADF Page created by us.And it opens the ADF Page in the modal dialog.Since i do not have any control on the parent page which is the BPM Worklist page.
I need to check whether the url contains the _ADFvDlg , if it contains then i need to put some logic and then executes something.
Is there any way to find out the Url of the dialog window of the BPM Worklist using ADF not using javascript ?

but no help, it gives me the same url of both the pages(parent and dialog one).
Say if i use the javascript and anyhow get the windowId of the dialog and pass it to the server onPageLoad then it can be helpful.
But how to do that as well.?
I mean how will i call the javascript and return url to the server and do the validations on PageLoad.
Please suggest!!

Extended Notifications: how to change the URL link

We are on ECC6. We use Extended Notifications to alert users to the presence of new workitems, but when they click on the link to execute the workitem, they're presented with the login screen.
We have been able to send emails from workflow which contain a link that does not ask for a login so I know which URL to use. The problem is, how can you set the URL in Extended Notifications? How does it decide which URL to use? I've tried changing a few General Settings in SWNCONFIG, none of them made a difference.
Any hints, tips, suggestions would be appreciated.
