When trying to get updates, I sometimes get the message
'Your account is not valid for use in the Greek store. You must switch to the US store before purchasing'
Do you mean how you switch to the greek app store or to the US app store?
If so for both of them, then you'll need to create an account with both or just the one.

You can only purchase items from the country's store in which you are located and your account, including the payment method has to be associated with that country. Apple checks the public IP address used by the iPod/computer to determine the country in which you are located.

How do I get the iPhone Apple Store to recognize my new Apple ID email?
I changed my email and notified Apple. My mail on my iMac works fine and my email on the phone is fine. However when I go to update apps in the Apple Store app on my iPhone4 it asks for a password but has my old email address above the spot for typing in my password. How to update this? Thanks.

Limnos is correct. The Apple Store gift card is used for purchasing product at the Apple Store. The iTunes gift card is used for downloading digital content. They are not interchangeable as Limnos said.

Will switching to a different Apple Store (country) is going to make me lose my iMatch subscription?
I moved to Mexico and I suscribed to iTunes Match being in Argentina. If I try to switch to the Mexico Apple Store they ask me to cancel my iMatch subscription. Would this mean that I wont be able to use it anymore and that I will need to pay again for it?
I actually tried to cancel my iMatch but I don't seem to find where exactly (I deactivated it under options and cancelled my automatic renewal) how can I cancel it to change to another Apple Store?

How can you change apps store when you travel around the world?
After upgrading to IOS6, suddently my iPad has switch me to the greek apps store instead of leaving me into my canadian apps store.
Therefore, I cannot upgrade 60+ apps on my iPad.
Does someone know how to revert this situation?

How can I use the same Apple ID account in two different App Stores?
I am from Greece and I use my Apple-ID account to download iPhone Apps from the Greek App Store. However I live in Germany and some iPhone applications I want are available only through the German App Store. When I try to download one of them I got the message that my acount cannot be used with the German App Store. Is there any way to be able to have on my phone applications form both the German and the Greek App store at the same time using or not the same Apple ID account? I have got both Greek and German credit cards if this is an issue. Thanks.

Nothing will happen to your existing purchases. Your computer will remain authorized - you can authorize a single computer to up to five iTunes Store accounts - and the apps and content will remain in place.
Can I switch from one acount to the other every time I want to update an application or purchase a new one?
As long as you're in the relevant country, yes. Again, the terms of use say that you agree not to even attempt to use an iTunes Store from outside of its country.

Ysterday I updated to the new IOS6 on my Iphone 4. The phone service is provided by the Softbank carrier in Japan but I am an American and my Itunes account is U.S. After the update I get this warning when trying to install app updates "Your account is not valid for use in the Japanese store. You must switch to the U.S. store before purchase." This is something that must have occured during the the IOS6 install so my question is how do I get my Iphone 4 to recognize the U.S. store again?
Open the App Store and tap "featured", go down untill you see your Apple ID... enter there and tap "View Apple ID"... it should automatically ask you if you want to switch the store. Switch and thats all.

I signed up for my apple account while living in Canada, and now I lives in the US. I am looking for a specific app that apparently is only available through the US app store. How can I change my account to the US Apple Store?
As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country). -

Tap "View Apple ID"
Enter password if needed
Tap "Country/Region"
Tap "Change Country or Region"
You may need to change to a UK credit card.
