How to switch views in multiclip editing?

Sorry, newbie error, I'm sure. I've created a multi clip, very simple with 2 videos. How do I switch between them? I've got the buttons on the timeline and the viewer. All they do is beep when I click on anything. I loaded multiclip keyboard layout, and see that shift-2 should switch to video2, etc. It does nothing. There's a menu item as well. It does nothing. I've tried while the video is stopped, while it's running, nothing. What I am doing wrong?

Sorry, found the answer, tho I don't understand it. The sync menu in the browser was set to audio. Setting it to audio+video fixed the problem.

If you want to see the original image then hold the shift key when in edit mode.

Not exactly sure what you mean by that... with iPhoto 11, when you edit a pic nothing on the original pic is changed, and all your editing decisions are recorded in the database. Next time you view the image these decisions are applied to the image as you view it. So, iPhoto records the edit history. Subsequent edits work on the aggregrate history, or you can revert to the original and start over.
If you want to have multiple versions (say, one in in B&W, one in Sepia) then you need to duplicate the image.
Note that the versions are all virtual, based on the Master. Deleting the master will also delete the versions.

[Cocoa] How to switch views in a "toolbar" application

Hi everybody.
I have a window with a toolbar with 3 buttons. Each of this button represent a view. I'm having problems switching view.
I have 3 different NSViewController (one for each view) and a NSWindowController that manages only the switching.
With the current code the switch works, but the animation is terrible!
I've already took a look to the example BasicCocoaAnimations, but if I use that code, my views can't keep the origin, and also the size change every time a switch the view.

The defaultFrame method simply returns a NSRect with the statical size and origin (retrieved from IB)... this is the only way I managed to fix the size problem...

Beach Ball Switching Views

I have a very simple concert, only a couple channel strips & fx - switching views (layout/perform/edit) results in a 1 minute + freeze each time. It's really quite annoying.
I'm on a 3ghz Macbook Pro with 4gb Ram on 10.6.6

I tried both graphics settings, doesn't seem to be any difference. In fact, it just got worse! I just had to wait 5 minutes+ when switching from Perform to Layout....actually I thought it was done, but it's still frozen. Time for force quit.
I'm using the newest version of mainstage 2. I would think by version 2 there wouldn't be showstoppers like this, but I was wrong apparently.

How get multiclips to stay in viewer when playing/editing in timeline?

I just started editing in multiclip. I can get my 3 multiclip clips to show in the Viewer on a 4-up display, but when I play the Timeline, the Viewer jumps to full frame active view. I've set the RT at Multiclip Playback, set the Open option on the Playhead Sync menu, and set Multi-clip 4-up Display. What am I doing wrong or missing?
How can I get the multiclips 4-up display to stay in the Viewer when I play the Timeline?

There are 2 things to check.
1. Has your timeline been rendered? I ask this because I was given a 3 camera multiclip project from another editor here, and with all of my settings checked, I still couldn't get the multiclips to show on my external when playing back. Once playback was stopped or the playhead scrubbed, then the 4-up display would return. Just for kicks, I cleared his render cache and bingo, 4-up returned on playback.
2. In the View menu, is "Show Multiclip Angles" checked? (It's at the very bottom of the menu).

How can I use ALL audio tracks in multiclip editing?

I want to be able to use all audio tracks after the multiclip cut.
It's only a two camera shoot, but I want to be able to use the ambient room sound from the second camera ... and control its level (in relation to the master audio track on the first camera) AFTER the cuts are made.
Is this possible in multiclip editing? And how does one go about it?
Apologies. I've spent an hour or so in the manual, and it isn't clear ... or I'm just not finding the right reference.

Sorry if I'm steering you down a path you don't want to go or even if there's a better way but I wouldn't be ding complex audio mixing anywhere near the multiclip interface. Export your reference movie or nest the multiclip project into another sequence, bring in your additional tracks, get to work. Just my preferences, I put a bunch of rough keyframes in the audio tracks and enter some markers (and make a lot of paper notes). Then I go back using the large mixer window to do the fine tweaking.
Stick around for a couple of days, some other multiclip users with more experience than I will offer some more useful suggestions.

How to hide "View in Browser" and "Edit in Browser" from ECB injected by Office Web Apps Feature

i am currently using custom_AddDocLibMenuItems to implement a custom ECB menu for my document library. I need to activate Office Web Apps. My custom_AddDocLibMenuItems has two items
-> custom dialog
-> open in office web apps
After activating the Office Web Apps Feature at the SiteCollection Level, this Feature "injects" in my custom menu the following
additional menu items:
-> View in Browser
-> Edit in Browser
Its curious to see that, cause implementing the js function custom_AddDocLibMenuItems with
return true should be the way to impolement a custom ECB menu without having other features/solutions injecting things in this menu!? Or did i misunderstood something here?
My question is: How can i prevent this ...
a) without deactivating the Office Web Apps Feature
b) without modifying the core.js
I hope someone can help!

How can I get the File, Edit, View, Windows ect to show in Organiser

While on various tutorials they all show a
menu of file, edid, view ect in the top left hand corner of the screen, mine shows only a small square box that when clicked give you the option of restore, close minimise ect. How can I get the file edit menu to show. Should have said in Photoshop Elements 9.

You won’t be able to see you camera roll photos on iCloud because they are stored at on backup and it is not a stream feature.

I have 3 timecoded 95 minute DV tapes of a concert I want to input to FCP for editing in multiclip. This is my first time.
What's a good how-to reference to 1) compress the content to fit my 250 Gig hard drive, 2)edit in multiclip, and 3) assemble the finished program by importing the uncompressed clips I end up using?

Is your media simply MiniDV, or another format recorded on DV tape?
If MiniDV, it should all fit easily on your harddrive (provided it is a drive other than your system drive). DV-NTSC takes about 13Gb/hr of footage, so you're well under.
Do not render until after you've finished your multiclip edit and 'collapsed' the multiclip.

How to switch which program to view photos with?

I have a Droid Razr. From the camera program when I click on photo in the upper right hand corner to view my gallery, it appears the gallery is opening with google photos instead of gallery. The google photos app dims the back lighting on the photos making it difficult to view. I would like to switch back to viewing photos using gallery, but can't figure out how to switch back to that program by default.

I spent several hours on the phone with VZW last night for this very issue. They had no idea how to fix it.
