How to sync AP names from WLC to WCS

when AP names are updated on a WLC, how to propagate the changes to the WCS? WCS still shows the AP names as MAC addresses instead of user-friendly names that were set on the WLC.

In 4.2.61 you go under the controller tab on the WCS and select the controllers that you would like to update. Select the drop down for 'Refresh config from controller' Select then select the delete tab on the following screen. This will take all the information from the WLC and move it to the WCS and delete any outdated information on the WCS. Hope this helps.

How to extract channels names from PhotoShop-written TIFFs?

Does anybody know how to extract channel names from PhotoShop-written TIFFs? (I'm really asking about spot color channel names, as basic channel names, such as "Red," "Green," "Blue" or "Cyan," "Magenta," "Yellow," and "Black" can obviously be derived from the color space tag.)
There's some XMP data in those TIFFs, but manual inspection does not seem to reveal channel names. So, this may not be an XMP question, after all. There's also a larger (for metadata) data block associated with a private (Adobe) tag, which could contain the information. It's binary, though, and I wouldn't know how to crack it open.
The data must be present somewhere in the file, as PhotoShop will show the channel names on re-open of the TIFF.
There's a TIFF/IT TIFFTAG_INKNAMES tag, which PhotoShop doesn't utilize.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Yes, the way Sync works is that it puts all the Bookmarks together and pushes them to all your devices. Same with History.
You will not loose any information in any of your computers.

First check to be sure your comuter is 'Authorized'.
Plug in your device and select it from the 'Devices' list in iTunes.
You can manually manage the content from the Summary tab OR sync the tunes and other media from the other tabs (music, apps, photo's etc).
You can sync different content to different Devices from the same iTunes library. I have 2 iPhones, multiple iPods, multile iPads etc all on the same library with different content on each device.

Just one question: I am using PL SQL Developer. My goal is to export some data (as .sql and .dmp files) from one database and to import them into the another database (both databases have identical structure - test database and production, just different database names and names of schema. In order to make it possible, I need to exclude schema name from generated export file. I believe that it is possible to do it automatically by setting up parameters of PL SQL Developer. How?

In the meantime, I have found the answer on my previous question:
Actually, the initial idea (how to exclude schema name from exported files) was wrong. No need for any intervention.
Trick is: Schema name can be changed during the import of exported files (PL SQL Developer during import gives possibility: From User (old schema) To User (new schema) .
Hope that this will be useful info for others.

is it possible to get this key name from parameter list ???

I cannot think of a way to do that. The code that reads the list is supposed to know the key names. That is sort of the point with parameter lists. If you need to have parameter lists that can be interepreted by some code that doesn't know about a specific list but knows how to interpret it by inspecting the key names, perhaps you can specify a separate parameter list with the key names as values and call the keys of that list something generic?

How can I delete file names from the Adobe Reader list? I have deleted the file & it's empty, but deleted file names remain in my list & it's very annoying. I can't seem to find an option anywhere to delete the file names.

I have set the amount to zero, & it seems if I want to put back valid files into my list I first need to find them in another file in my pc, such as documents, open them in Adobe Reader, & then then they will reappear in the Adobe Reader list. This seems to be the case, you need to restore each file you want in your list one by one by accessing them elsewhere on your pc, & then you must open them with Adobe Reader to have files reappear in your Adobe Reader list. However, this seems to be a tedious process if you only want to delete one obsolete file from your list by first emptying the list & rebuilding it file by file. It works, but I'm wondering if there is a more sensible & efficient way to do this?

How to sync photo alblums from PS ELements 13 to a mobile devise using a Mac

Previous to purchase of my iMac my photographs were all organized in albums in Photoshop
elements 11. iTunes allowed me to sync selected albums from Photoshop
elements 11 to my iPhone and iPad. Because Photoshop elements 11, had no
raw plug-in for my new camera (Nikon 750) I had to upgrade to Photoshop
elements 13 which I purchased and downloaded onto my iMac. When I tried to sync
the albums which I transferred to Photoshop elements 13 to my iPhone and
iPad I was unable to do so. iTunes only allows me to sync from iPhoto or from
selected files on my computer. I am told by Apple that you can sync on a
PC with Elements because I Photo is not an option. Because I Photo is an
option of a Mac syncing from Elements is not provided for. This is a
problem for me because i have 45,000 pictures in Elements organized into
hundreds of albums some of which I would like to sync with my phone and many
which I would not. Apple tells me that there is nothing I can do other than to
move my entire library to iPhoto which would require me to reinvent the wheel,
re-creating the albums that I've already established in Photoshop. While I
don't want to do that I may be forced to. Is there any way to transfer whole
photo albums from Elements to I Photo even if I have to do it one at a time?
Any advise or help that you can give me would be very much appreciated!

Although annoying, that is how iSync works, and always has done.
New contacts added on the phone are not put in the selected group for syncing.
In the options for your phone in iSync, you'll notice that whereas there is a "Put events created on phone into: {calendar pop-up}", there is no equivalent "Put contacts created on phone into: {group pop-up}".
This has always been the case, and despite reporting it to Apple many times, it seems to be something they don't want to fix.

I am in a situation where I need to retrieve user name from the Subject that is populated when user logs in. I have the active Subject and I do following to get the principals in the subject and iterate through them:

But this contains all the principals, including user name, roles, password, etc. How do I programmatically determine which one is user name?

Don't you have different principal types? I am making a jaas module and I have different principals for roles, groups etc. I think of principals as attributes, the type in the attribute name and the principal name is the attribute value.
To get all the principals of the type SomePrincipal, you can use:
Set principals = subject.getPrincipals(SomePrincipal.class)
You can also take som principal an test wether it is an instance of som type:
if (Principal p instanceof SomePrincipal){..}
An other solution which might be better if you have many different attributes is to store both attribute name and value in the name of the principal.
If "mark" is a username the principal name will be "username:mark" el.
Then it will be easy to find the username.

If you want to transfer any size video to your iPod Touch, you can do this by dragging and dropping it into Pic Share It. The video will appear in your Camera Roll. It's a free program. Here's a video showing how it works.
