How to sync data/apps between different iTouches?

I have my itouch, and some apps for my kid.
If I buy a new itouch, I'd like to move all my existing data to the new ipod touch, then put only a few apps on the old ipod touch.
how would i go about managing multiple ipod touch devices using itunes?
Can I mix and match apps between the various ipods?

You can sync as many ipods as you like to one computer/library.
Each device is different and can be set to sync whatever you like.

How to sync the apps and music from my iphone to my itouch

You have to transfer/get the apps and music from the iPhone into iTunes on your computer and sync them to the iPod.  You transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer

  • How to sync my wife's iPad2, iTouch

How to sync my wife's iPad2, iTouch (iOS5.1)  & iMac account to Mountain Lion when it was originally sync'd to my account on Loin using my ID?

    Ok, to clarify:
    1. You had the iPad2, iTouch, and iMac account sync'ing on 10.7 Lion under your account?
    2. Now you want change those devices to your wife's Apple ID and maybe a new login account for the wife?
(Did you upgrade from Lion to Mountain Lion on a single iMac that you share?)
    If that's what you meant:
    1. If the devices were activated and sync'd under your Apple ID on your computer then going to a second computer you will receive an error in iTunes about the device being sync'd to a different computer.  You will have to wipe the devices and start over to change that...  You could also end up having Apps installed on the iOS devices some under your AppleID and some under your wife's AppleID.  That can be painful as you need to logout of the App/iTunes stores and switch accounts then update.  You'll see updates available but not be able to update all of them because half are under a different AppleID.
However, it is possible to share an Apple ID for purchases between devices.  I use my AppleID between my work iPad3, iPhone4S, the wife's iPad2 and iPhone4 as well as my Mac's and the wife's iMac.  This way all purchases are made under one account.  I then setup the wife with her own iCloud account while still using my AppleID for the App/iTunes stores.  All she has to know is the password to my account and I think I can trust the wife with that.
Going to need very specific information to provide you the proper course of action to save you time and effort.

  • How can i share apps between iphone

how can i share apps between iphones?

If they are syncing to the same iTunes library you can just sync them to the other phone using iTunes.  (However, if the other phone has been syncing to a different computer/iTunes library don't do this or you will create problems as iTunes will delete all iTunes media off the phone and replace it with the media in the new library when you sync.)

  • Can you sync your apps from your itouch to iphone?

can you sync your apps from your itouch to iphone?

The answer is yes. the extended ansewer is iCloud. iCloud allows the user of any product whether it is an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to download any purchased Movie, music and Apps (Including Data)  between devices. Simply go to downloads and click on purchases and there should be all purchases you have made.

  • OCI database connection.. move app between different env

I'm using Oracle E-business suite 11.5.10 together with Jdev OA (RUP4) to create a wep app. However I'm a litte confused about how to set up an OCI database connection while making it possible to move the web app between different environments, with different apps passwords etc.
I would like to use local environment variables to set the connection string (SID, apps password etc), but I'm not sure howto do this since the connection is stored in static xml files.
A possible solution is that to change the ConnectionDefinition in oc4j.xcfg file at runtime?
Please give me an idea on how it should be done
    Best regards,
    Michael

    Michael,
OA Framework tends to have it's own quirks and requirements in regards to connection setup. I'd suggest that you'd get a better answer in the OA Framework forum: OA Framework

Just bought a mac desktop and how do sync my apps to it from iPad?

You connect the iPad to the computer and use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes to put them on the Mac's internal drive. They can't actually be run on a Mac.

  • Can icloud sync an app between 2 iphones and an ipod?

I was wondering if the icloud can sync an app between 2 iphones and an ipod under the same ID

Yes per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 setup iCloud on all devices under the same account and backup to the cloud. If its two iPhones, are they both one owner? If not,it's best to not setup iCloud on a device that is not the same owner.

    Hello John,
It sounds like your music was copied from your iPod Touch but not your installed apps. I want to recommend this article to help you Transfer your Purchases named:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848
You can also download your apps using your purchased history in iTunes with this article:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12283
Click iTunes Store near the top of the iTunes window.
Click the Purchased link at the right of the iTunes Store homepage (below Quick Links).
In the page that appears, select a category.iTunes shows you which of your purchases are available for download. You can view all of your past purchases, or just the ones not currently in your iTunes library. Items already in your library aren’t available for download. If you select Music, you can view your purchases by song, artist, or album. If you’re viewing by album, click an album to see which songs on it are available for downloading. To search for an item, type its name or a keyword in the search field, and then press the Return key to view your search results.
To download an item, click its Download button .To download all available items, click Download All.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • I have purchase some apps on my ipod touch and recently just got an iPhone 4. I was wondering how do I sync the apps from the iTouch to the iPhone.

Because when I plug my itouch into itunes, and go to the "app" tab, i can't drag the apps onto the left side. So i was wondering if i would have to repurchase the apps that i've bought earlier for my itouch.

You can make the 'Apps' tab show up below 'Library' by going to: Preferences>General>Show (and then click the checkmark beside 'Apps').
No, you shouldn't have to re-purchase your apps. If you search "Add apps to iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad" in the iTunes Help menu it should come up with a step-by-step explanation of how to add the apps. You should be able to click on the name of your iPod Touch in the left-hand column (where it shows up when it is plugged in). After you click on it, you should be able to go to the 'apps' tab in the large center-to-right-hand area of iTunes, and click on it. Then you should be able to either click and drag the apps from the left-hand column (under the apps tab, in the center-to-right-hand side of iTunes) onto one of the little 'home screens' at the far right. If you don't want to drag each app individually, there should be an option (checkbox) that you could select which would allow you to sync all apps to your devise.
I hope that helps. Some of it is a little hard to explain through text.

  • How to Sync User attributes between local forests?

    Hi
We are currently migrating three AD domains to one.
We are migrating users and distrubution groups with ADMT to the new domain, and stating to move services to the new domain. starting with sharepoint.
But for some time, some services will remain in the three old domains. To avoid maintaining user attributes like phonenumber, address etc multiple places, I would like to schedule a sync of some user attributes from the old domains to the
    new.
Just like DirSync between a local directory to office 365 - but how is it done with local domains and not with office365?
So if a helpdesk user is updating a users phonenumber i one of the three old AD, it should be synced to the new domain after. I would like to run this as a schedule task every 15 minute or so.
ADMT is like a one time migrating tool to create the users in the new domain, but I can't see that it will support user attribute
    synchronisation.
Do you have any suggention on how I can solve this task?
    Best Regards, Steffen.

ADMT is like a one time migrating tool to create the users in the new domain, but I can't see that it will support user attribute
    synchronisation.
I am not sure about the schedule task and if it is available to use in this scenario or not. You have two different security boundaries, so it is not easy as setting up a scheduled task to sync data. Even if it is possible, it would be very hard to established.
For selected users you have to define what to sync and what not to sync and etc.
I believe on of the things you can do is to use FIM 2010 in order to have a synchronized directory. That is the best thing you can do AFAIK.
Sync Users between domains with Forefront 2010

  • Idoc data  comparison between different R/3 clients.

    Hi ppl ,
Is there a way idoc comparison can be done between different clients without going
by Segment by Segment comparison ?
I have a requirement wherein i have thousands of idocs in QA system and i need to
compare those with the ones in PROD system. The segments in the idocs may vary
depending on the data that flows from the third party system which will post idocs in R/3.
So, the segment wise comparison of data is also ruled out .
Do we have any standard reports which will help in achieving this purpose ?
Please let me know how the idoc data comparison can be carried out .
    Regards,
    Nick.

    Hi Nick,
There is no standared tools available for comparing the data of two idocs.
By using beyond compare s/w you can check the data, but the thing is you have to download the idoc data to file format.
By using Idoc_xml_transform function module you can download idoc data to xml format, after you can compare.
    Check this
