How to sync music on my computer to ipad2 if I am already using iCloud.

I have loads of music in iTunes on my computer that I imported from my CD collection. I normally sync my ipad2 via iCloud but wanted to connect it to my pc and sync/add my music collection to the ipad2. I got a warning that said if I attempted this, it would wipe out everything from my ipad2 and replace it with my computer based iTunes content. How do I bring my legitimate music collection over to my ipad2 which I purchased about four months ago? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I am fairly new to Apple. I just bought this ipad2 and an iphone4s, so it's been a learning curve.

why not just connect it and set it to sync music ?
unless you pay for match then syncing apps movies and music to the computer have nothing to do with the sync to icloud

  • How to sync music from another computer without deleting older content ??

I used to update my iPhone 4 music library from one of my computers. Now that computer has stopped working and I couldn't recover its memory either. So now I am using my sister's laptop. When I tried to sync some new songs then I saw this pop up saying that the older music library woulld be erased and over written with the songs in thi computer's library. Now I wanna keep my old songs and add newer ones from this computer too. None of my song is from iTunes Store. Please help....What should I do ??

Authorise your sister's laptop to your apple id and then try syncing

  • How to sync music from old computer to new and add music

I can see all my music in the library, but since I got a new computer,  can't add the new music I just bought and download to my shuffle.

    Hi clcaldwell46,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have signed into your Apple ID and are seeing all of your purchases on your new Windows 8 computer. The reason you may not be able to sync is because although you can see the music and stream it, it may not actually be located locally on your computer. Please use the attached article as a reference and for steps to download all of your purchased music to your iTunes library.
    Download past purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
Download previous purchases on Mac or PC
Make sure your Mac or PC meets these system requirements:
    iTunes 10.3 or later
You need iTunes 10.6 or later to download previously purchased movies and TV shows.
iTunes account in a country where iTunes in the Cloud is available
    iTunes Store
         1.  Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
         2.  Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
         3.  Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
         4.  Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
         5.  Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you will see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
         6.  Click the Download icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • How to sync music bought with an old apple id with a mobile me icloud

I migrated from mobile me to icloud using my mobile me account (which is different to my itunes apple id account) and I can sync pictures, contacts and ical via the cloud to my mac, iphone and ipad using the mobile me @me.com id. All devices are signed in with the mobile me @me.com log in.
However, my purchased music won't sync when i buy it with my itunes apple id. Do I have to re-sign into icloud using my old apple id to sync it all? If so what happens to pictures and ical.
I started off by creating an account using my old apple id on the iphone (which prompted me to create an entirely new me.com address), but I changed it to the @me.com log in and deleted it from the iphone because it would not sync pictures etc.
I think I did something wrong at he very start due to the confusing prompt for an apple id when creating the original icloud account.
    Any help appreciated

You should continue to use your itunes account ID for iTunes and your iCloud ID for syncing services such as calendar et al.
If you want your iYunes purchases to download to all your devices, check automatic downloads in settings > store on you iOS devices and iTunes preferences > Store in iTunes on your mac/PC.

    Hi!
I have music, info on my IPod Touch and I a new computer.  How to sync with a new computer and not loosing data?

The ipod is not a storage/backup device.
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

i dont know how to sync music to my ipod. i need help

You can sync music to the iPod by connecting it your computer, selecting the iPod on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and then using the Music tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select which of your iTunes music library to sync to it. There are some instructions on syncin music on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1351
You can also download a copy of the iPod manual from here : http://support.apple.com/manuals/ipod/#ipodtouch

  • How to sync music and video from iPhone4 with iPad mini?

I have music and video on my iPhone4 and I just got my iPad mini yesterday.  Does anyone know how to sync music and video between two devices?

Apple doesn't enable you to copy certain items from your iPhone to your computer e.g.
    - songs that have not been bought in the iTunes store
    - photos from photo album (only allows photos transferred from camera roll)
This is frustrating if you have lost these items on your computer - e.g. accidental deletion, hard disk failure.
Its not that its not possible - just that the functionality is not included in iTunes. Its an example of Apple prioritising revenues over customer experience - hey they can do what they want with their reputation but should take care not to frustrate customers too much.
However the Senuti (free) and PhoneView ($20) allows you to transfer items either way between computer and iPhone. Ive tried both and they work great. These are for OS X and there are many other applications available online for both Windows/Mac that allow you to treat the iPhone as just a plugged in disk too. You can try iPod Photo Liberator (Mac & Windows) iPodCopy (Mac and Windows Versions) Keith's iPod Photo Reader (Mac only).
    Good luck
