How to sync songs that aren't synced to iPhone, and appear on iTunes in gray and next to a circle?

After syncing my music from iTunes to my new iPhone 5 (and all of my music is either matched or uploaded using iTunes Match), I encountered a problem in which some songs weren't synced to my iPhone, and when I look at my iPhone section on iTunes, on music I can see these songs that weren't synced, in gray and next to them there's a circle.
Can anyone help me with syncing these problematic ones to the iPhone?
Thanks,
Nir

Iphone will sync with one and only one computer at a time.
Syncing to another will erase the current content from the iPhone.
Put everything on one library.

  • Is there a way for iTunes to stop syncing songs that i delete on my iPhone?

When I delete a song on my iPhone 4, is there a way to make that song stop syncing to back to my phone instead of my having to go through and delete them from my library myself?

There is no need to delete the song from the iTunes library on your computer to prevent songs you delete on the phone from syncing back to it.  If you have iTunes set to sync only checked songs/media, when you delete the song on the phone, it automatically uncheck's and doesn't sync again (the same way as when you delete an app on the phone).
The song remains in the iTunes library in case you change your mind.

  • How do I get songs that I bought on my iPhone transferred to my iTunes?

I bought a song on my iPhone, and I would like the song transferred to my iTunes on my computer. I can't figure out how to do it. Help!

You should be regularly syncing and backing up the contents of the phone.
If you haven't or have previously synced with another computer you will need to transfer the purchases first. Cancel the sync or else it will erase the phone.

  • IPhone 4s - iTunes sync includes 1000 extra songs that aren't on my phone or iTunes

    iPhone 4s 32GB
MacBook Pro 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
    8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
1 TB hard drive (recently installed)
    IOS: 7.1.2
    OS: 10.6.8
    iTunes 11.4 (18)
When my iphone 4s syncs with itunes the audio portion of the capacity graph says I have 2900 songs, or 18.22 GB of music.  However, my phone only has 1949 songs on it ("1949" visible both in the Music app under the Songs tab, and in Settings/General/About), which amounts to around 16.41 GB.
The amount of available space listed fluctuates among different applications (iTunes, Settings, and iStat) but is always between 500 MB and 1 GB. If this takes into account that I only have 1949 songs then I should have at least 1 GB more free than I have.  Instead, this seems to mean that there is space being taken up on my phone for almost 1000 songs that aren't anywhere to be found.
I have my phone synced to only one playlist, which has exactly 1949 songs.  I have no music videos or movies synced.
This has been going on for quite some time now, and I have tried restoring my phone in the past but it did not help get rid of these 1000 nonexistent songs.  My only thought is that it has something to do with purchased music on iTunes that I have deleted from my phone, yet somehow is still on my phone by some error.  I have found no music on my phone that is not in my synced playlist, so I am truly at a loss as to what could be causing this.
I would love to have the extra space, and have been frustrated by this for a long time!  Could anybody possibly help me out?  I will be happy to provide more information if needed.
    Thanks!

Make sure that your music is in the format supported by the iPhone. I use either MP3 or AAC.
A friend had the same problem a while back. All his music was in the WMA format and is therefore not playable on the iPhone and would not copy. Once he converted his songs to MP3 they copied to his iPhone without problem.

  • I recently updated my iPhone and now find there are a number of songs that I cannot sync to my phone. Some are songs purchased from iTunes.  Is there anyway to remedy this?  I'd really prefer not to have to repurchase music.  Thanks

I recently ran an updatedafter being prompted multiple times. Now I find there are a number of songs that I cannot sync to my iPhone. Some are songs purchased from iTunes.  Is there anyway to remedy this?  I'd really prefer not to have to repurchase music.

Why would you repurchase songs simply because they will not sync?  Sorry, that's beyond illogical, it's simply not smart.
What happens when trying to sync these songs?
    Any errors?

  • ITunes syncing hundreds of songs that were already on my iPhone every time

Title says it all, I'm using the latest iTunes (9.1.1) and have the 128kbps downscale option checked. iTunes is randomly selecting hundreds of songs that were already on the iPhone, and syncing them again, taking at least 30 minutes per sync.
    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Hello, ted_marx38.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The most common cause for this issue would be media present that is purchased with another Apple ID.  When prompted to authorize the computer it may show a different Apple ID.  If this is the case, the computer will need to be authorized for this Apple ID.  The article below will walk you through the process of verifying if that is the case or correcting the issue if not.

  • Why won't some of my songs, that used to sync, sync to my iPhone 5 now? There is an empty circle appearing to the left of the check marks for each of the songs that were not successfully synced.

Why won't some of my songs, that used to sync, sync to my iPhone5 now? There is an empty circle appearing to the left of the check mark in iTunes for the songs that are not properly syncing.

I've continued tests on different films, and tried my entire collection. I've found about two dozen that will play fine on the PC, but will not cooperate when streamed to either Apple TV or my iPad. I tried several more tests with the audio, and that turned out not to be a factor -- I could not replicate that on another test.
I wonder if something in the header of these files is corrupted or a flag is set incorrectly or something along those lines, as the data appears to be fine -- it's just not "handshaking" with my streaming hardware and/or the Apple Home Sharing code that powers it.
Is there any way for me to "scrub" these files and amend their headers, or get into the file and tinker with that info by hand?

  • How to recover song that are "lost", itunes can't find them even though I have downloaded and played them before

Does anyone know how to recover songs that itunes has "lost"?
I downloaded them, synced my ipod, songs were added and I was able to play them.
On a recent sync the songs are suddenly "not found" according to itunes.  I can't locate them in the itunes folder, so I have no idea where itune put them.  BTW-this is not the first time itunes stored songs in a random directory......  Since itune can't find them, they were deleted from my ipod

Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.

  • How to fix songs that "crackles" on my iPhone 4

Hello, does anyone know how to fix songs that "crackles" on my iPhone 4? Is definitely because of the sync but I do not know how to fix this issue.

  • Custom playlist folder showing songs that aren't in any of the playlists

I'm running iTunes 7 and I've created a folder to store all of the playlists that I use for DJing. Right now I've got about 90 - 100 playlists in that folder. When I highlight the folder to show all of the songs in that folder, I notice that it also shows songs that aren't in any of the playlists in that folder. The songs are in playlists in another folder (which isn't highlighted). I've gone through and checked to make sure that I didn't accidentally dump songs into a playlist that weren't supposed to be there. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

    Try this -
select one of the 'phantom' songs, and right-click. Look at the 'Show in playlist' item to see which playlists iTunes thinks the song is in. Maybe it will help you narrow down the search for a solution.

  • Unable to sync songs tagged as 'Explicit' to my iPhone.

I am unable to sync songs tagged as 'Explicit' to my iPhone. All other songs sync fine.

Do you have Restrictions turned on on your phone? If so, then under "Allowed Content" you need to make sure that you have the "Explicit" option turned on for Music and Podcasts.
