How to sync Video folder

Hi All,
I'm wondering how I can sync a video folder between my computer and my Blackberry.  "Media Sync" sounds like it should do that, right?  But it seems I have to select specific videos, rather than a folder, which is not exactly synchronising -- more copying.  I have a folder of podcasts that change every day.  How can I get those automatically uploaded to the Blackberry when I charge it?  I can't be the only person who wants to do this.
(I do not have a data plan, and even if I did one video would use up the monthly allowance.)
Thanks for any help!
- Elric

Can't do it yet, I'm afraid.

  • Photo Stream-How to sync videos

If Photo Stream doesn't support syncing videos how do I transfer my home videos now?  I'm on a Dell Laptop.  I used to use Nikon Transfer before I signed up for iCloud and started using Photo Stream.  But now my iphone doesn't show up as a device in Nikon Transfer.

That is a problem with the Nikon Transfer app.

  • How to sync a folder on a Mac and a PC ... how and with what limitation?

Most of the time I work on a Mac (when I work from home ... love the Mac), but sometimes I need to work on a PC running Windows XP Professional (when I m in the office company policy).
My question now is how I can automatically sync my work folder between my Mac and my PC? I would prefer the sync process to run on the Mac, but I am open to suggestions.

Where is your work folder being stored? On a flash drive or on a server on your company network? Somewhere else?
Provided your company's server is set to allow "offline files" Windows XP has built-in sync services. You can usually select a folder on the server and right-click it and then look for the synchronization option. This works great for Windows. Possibly your files could be synchronized to a flash drive.
On the Mac side Synchronize Pro from Qdea has been a reliable way for our company to synchronize files between two servers during migrations. It would probably be worth looking into.
Some folks might suggest a .Mac account, which will allow you to store files on .Mac and then have your Mac automatically synchronize. I suggest against anything that stores company files on the Internet, but it's your prerogative.
    Hope this helps! bill

  • How to sync video files from your Mac to iPhone/iTouch camera roll.

Everything's updated. Use new Macbook Pro & 4th gen iTouch
Problem: I do not know how to put a video from my computer to my iPod camera roll.
Here's what I DON'T want: I do not want to sync a video from my computer to the iOS "Videos" app.
Here's what I DO want      :  I want to sync a video from my computer to my iOS "Photos" app. aka camera roll.
It would be SOO amazing if someone knows how to do this. Thanks

If you want to transfer any size video to your iPod Touch, you can do this by dragging and dropping it into Pic Share It.  The video will appear in your Camera Roll.  It's a free program.  Here's a video showing how it works.

  • How to sync video to iPhone

I have a video with extension .m4v which does not sync with my iphone. These are the properties of the video
    MPEG-4 video file
    128kbps
    Low Complexity
    Stereo
    1572 kbps
    480x360
    H.264
I also have the same file in quicktime movie format. Even that file does not sync? I have specifically created this .m4v using itunes from a .mov file using "convert selection to apple tv". But, what ever I do, it does not sync with my iPhone. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to specifically export all my .mov files using "convert selection for ipod"?
I also tried the option "convert selection for ipod". This option does sync with my iPhone, but the video does not appear under Video. It does come under audio but not under video.
The first issue I need to resolve is how do I sync with iPhone.
The second issue I have is :
Is there a specific format that I can keep my movies, so that I can sync with both my apple tv, iphone and also play in itunes? I dont mind converting all my movies to one format, instead of retaining the movies in three different formats to play them on all three media.

The data rate is too high -- 1500 is the max but 1000 is far safer (and most presets use under 1000).
Also, it sounds odd, but change the extension to MP4 when you convert it for iPod. Sometimes (maybe even a lot) the iPhone won't properly see an M4V extension as a movie. I know I have to convert all that I do with Handbrake to this extension.
I have both Apple TV and the iPhone and I use Handbrake for all my movie stuff. I convert using the iPhone preset but change the resolution to 640 (and turn autocrop on if I'm doing a widescreen movie). This plays perfectly on both the iPhone and Apple TV and, best of all, the quality is superb with small file sizes. I've run it on a 38inch TV and it looks to be as good or better than DVD in (it won't compare to HD but we're not talking HD here).
Even using the video cables (both composite and component) on the iPhone output the quality is terrific. I highly recommend this workflow.

  • How to sync video precisely to bar on Logic Pro 9?

I would really appreciate if someone has a clue about syncing the video precisely to the bar and can post a reply to this thread. Here's what I have done so far...
    Opened movie from File menu
Opened Global tracks > Video --Detect Cuts ( Created Scene Markers )
How do I align the scenes to the bar? My idea is to use the metronome for recording from the start of every individual scene with a different tempo for each.
How do u bridge the gap between the particular Scene Marker starting point to the closest whole bar?
I feel that there is some adjustment that needs to be done with Time signature before the particular scene marker so that the bar line sits aligned to the Scene marker...
I'll be glad to have this doubt cleared

Klunde, you are missing out the most vital parts in your post. A vocal chain for recording is:
You (your voice) - Microphone - Mic Pre - (perhaps hardware compressor, perhaps not) - (perhaps hardware eq, perhaps not) - then finally what you are recording into.
The source is the single biggest influence on what you need to do in the mix regardless of what you are recording into. In our case here, it happens to be Logic. My own vocal chain changes depending on what i am aiming to achieve and this carries through to the mix. On one song I may use a blue face 1176 plugin if required and on another a CL1B etc. Both sound great but both sound different and there are a myriad of ways to use each one. The same goes for EQ's and reverbs. But what you need for all of this is a great source. Get this right and your mixes and decisions will be a lot easier and your desired results faster to achieve.
So what is your source for your vocals?
After this it is all down to taste. For example, a compressor going into an eq sounds different from an eq going into a compressor. Neither one is right or wrong. Experience and experimentation will tell you which you want to use for a particular song. Top mixer Chris Lord-Alge uses lots of compression on everything. Top mixer Bruce Swedien is notorious for using virtually none. Both consistently mix great records and both have spent a life time honing their art and skill set. Experiment but get your recording chain right which means choosing the right kit for your vocal and gain staging everything properly.

  • How to sync video out of timeline?

I'm still learning and using FCP HD 4.5. The last time I used firewire to import a 2 minute video using capture now, it plays fine in the viewer, but after moving it to the timeline something goes wrong and it will not play back in the canvas in sync--the voice does not match the lip movement. Have I somehow messed up preferences or what? Thanks for any help.
    Willus

Thanks for your suggestions. I do still have the material on tape--do you know how I can check to find out if the recorded audio was 32 khz/12? It seems I tried numerous times to try a new empty sequence to test, but will try again. The other possibility that occurred to me was that a few days before the problem, I did have the computer do quite a few updates that are sent automatically--but not for final cut pro.
I'll check the camera manual also to see if I can determine how to find the audio rate.
If you have any other thoughts or suggestions, I'd be most happy to try. I can also try another section of tape before this to see if it occurs then, too.
Again, thanks and let me know if there is someone I can call about this, too.

  • How To Sync Video To Audio

    Hello all
I edit a wedding and notice that during the speeches the video and audio is out of sync the speaker is using a mike. Looking at the output on the TV everything is in sync but in the timeline it is totally of sync. Why is that? I look at the TV when recording so I didn't notice that after playing back the recorded DVD. I try to Mark in Sync in the Modify but it is not highlited I could be making the wrong move. If any one can make a suggestion I sure will appreciate it.
    Thanks
    Sabrina

You always have to monitor your audio through the same path as the video.
If it is in sync when you are sending your audio and video to the external monitor (through firewire) you are fine. If you CANVAS or VIEWER shows otherwise, you have audio and video going to different output devices.
In short, always monitor through firewire (if it's DV) and have audio set to AUDIO FOLLOWS VIDEO. That way, you will always know the truth (or at least FCP's version of it...)
    cheers,

  • How to sync video in iphone3gs

i am facing problem in synchronizing video in iphone

You would need to follow the same instructions for converting your video for your iPod.
To convert a video for either your iPod or your iPhone:
    1. Open iTunes, select the video.
    2. Choose Advanced > Convert Selection for iPod.
Converting a video for your iPhone can take several minutes to several hours, depending on your computer and on the length and content of the video.

  • How to sync video cuts to FAST drum beats?

Setting MARKERS is not working. The beats/cuts are too fast and mark em accurately on the beat and I certainly cannot "eyeball it", at least not on the main timeline. Is there a way to do it via AUDIO track in the Viewer?
Please advise and share your tips. Thanks!

Make sure your audio tracks are displaying the audio waveforms by clicking anywhere on the timeline and type Command + 0 {zero} to bring up the Sequence Settings. Click on the Timeline Options and make sure Show Audio Waveforms is checked:
This will let you see the waveforms in the timeline. This audio is from a Buddy Rich drum solo, and even though he is playing very fast, you can still see where the beats are.
Zoom in on the timeline by clicking anywhere on the timeline and type Command + =. Repeat until you see what you need to see. Note that when you zoom in, a flag appears on the playhead. That flag is showing you the actual duration of the frame in reference to what you are looking at.
Now if you step forward frame by frame, you should be able to place your edits very close to the drumbeat. You will, of course be limited by the duration of the frame - you won't be able to edit faster than 1 frame.
