How to synch ical on ipad to mac

I am failing to synch ical on my mac with all the entries on ical on my ipad2.  Anyone know what I can be doing wrong?  I have ticked the box in itune to synch both calenders....

If you haven't tried already, plug your devices into iTunes, and on each device next to the "Summary" tab at the top is another tab called "Info." Click that and scroll down to Contacts, Calendars, etc. There should be a pull down bar under each category for "Sync contacts from..." and you should be able to select from that pull down list Outlook.  Hit Apply at the bottom and see if that does it.

I have an apple id and an me.com address. I've turned icloud on my macbookpro and my ipad. However, notes does not ever synchronize between the two. "It just works" seems to be misleading. Apparently some set up is required?

Although i've done all the cleanings adviced by RHab nothing synchronize with the iPad but everything is fine with the iphone, that 's so strange !
I've got my notes on my Mac, on my iPhone, on icloud.com and everything synchronizes.
But despite the same settings on the iPhone and on the iPad there's any notes on the iPad app.
There must be something i miss

How do I synch calendars between iPad and MacBook Pro?

Thank you for your help. However, I still have no connection; could it be that the laptop is signed in through my account and the iPad through my wife's?
If so, must I delete her iCloud account and reestablish it as mine?
    Thank you

  • How to synch notes from iPhone to Mac (10.9)

    Hi,
I'm really confused as to how to synch notes from my phone to / from my Mac..
I went in to iCloud and it seems to insist that I create a new email account ([email protected])...why do I need to do that?I already have iCloud synching of addresses on my address book without this?
Can anyone explain how to do this?
I've looked at the Apple support site and all it says is "You can sync with the Notes app using IMAP or iCloud. Syncing Notes using iTunes is no longer supported on OS X v10.8 and later."....but this doesn't really help me. I need a bit more to go on...!
    Thanks,
    Alan.

If you open Notes (the computer application), do you have any notes there? If so, are they under On My Mac or iCloud? Does iCloud show there at all? If iCloud doesn't show there, Notes/Default Account - see if iCloud is there and set it up as your default account. That should give you what looks like the screen shot below (if the forum software will show it).
If iCloud doesn't show there, Notes/Add Account and select iCloud.

  • How to sync iCal on iPad to Outlook 2011 on MacBook.

Has anyone tried to sync iCal on iPad to Outlook 2011 for Mac. I'm having trouble getting my new MacBook, iPad, and Blackberry to all be on the same page. Everything I'll tried seems to only work on iCal and not the Outlook calendar. I've tried the info page in iTunes when the iPad is connected but it only shows iCal in the calendar sync options and my Blackberry only syncs to iCal. When I get meeting requests in Outlook they don't show in iCal. I'm basically carrying two calendars. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's been driving me crazy.

You can have the calendar on your iPad, and iCal on your Mac use Outlook calendars, if your business has the Exchange server set up correctly. In both cases, you need to add your Outlook email account as an Exchange account (in Settings on iPad, in mail.app on Mac). Once completed, the two calendars will not sync back and forth with one another, but you can view both of them in iCal and on the iPad, as well as create events and respond to invitations.
The big caveat - if you business or school has their Exchange server set up for this type of access. Many do.

  • Microsoft Exchange shared calendars through iCal on iPad or Mac

This is surely not an original question, but -
My company uses Microsoft Exchange.  I have synced it to my iPad for calendar, contacts, and email, and it works very well.
We also use shared calendars, and I utilize this feature often via Outlook on my PC.  However ...
    1.  I'd like to be able to view MS Exchange shared calendars on iCal on my iPad.  Is this possible?  Obviously, no one will grant me permission to view their contacts or emails, but calendar-only is what we share.  Is this possible?
    2.  Is it possible to view MS Exchange shared calendars through iCal on a Mac?  I have a colleague who has an iMac with iCal synced to Exchange and it works great.  However, we do not know how to view shared calendars (from MS Exchange) through iCal.  Again, we want to share calendars-only - no email or contacts.  Can anyone help with this?
    THANKS SO MUCH FOR HELP.
    Jeff

  • How to synch messages between ipad and iphone?

I see older info on this but nothing current: how do I synch messages between my iphone and ipad?  Only some of them synch, and not necessarily only those sent from other iphones. I'm using OS7.

The new info is the same as the old info. Nothing has changed.
You have to use the iPhone number as the contact address on both devices. Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at. You have to select the phone number in there for both devices.
Try signing out of Messages on both devices and start all over again. Settings>Messages>iMessage>Off. Restart both devices and then turn Messages on again on both devices starting with the phone.
Messages only work with other iOS devices and Mac computers running Mountain Lion or Mavericks.

  • How to see iBooks from iPad on Mac Book?

Hello -- I have had an iPad for a long time and I have a whole bunch of iBooks on it. I now have a Mac Book with retina display, and I would like to read on my new Mac Book the same iBooks I currently have on my iPad. Most of them are math books and take a long time to read and the retina display will help save my eyes. That's all I really want to do -- get my collection of math books on to the new Mac Book Retina for better reading.
I turned on Home Sharing on both devices, and Home Sharing appears to have been successfully turned on on both devices. I don't really know how to check for sure because I don't have any music or movies in iTunes -- all I do is read iBooks and I don't see an iBooks icon in iTunes (there is a separate icon for iBooks on the iPad and that works great).  I don't see anything comparable to a top-level iBooks icon on the Mac Book -- maybe there is something. I also have iCloud, and I think it's on, but I don't know how to check that either. I don't really know the difference between home sharing and iCloud, and really don't know how to use either one of them. Lemme make it worse: I have SkyDrive, Dropbox, and Windows Live Mesh. I think I can really make my life a living **** trying to share info with all the possible ways to mess this up.
But let's stick with my iBooks collection, which works great on my non-retina iPad, and now I want them on my retina Mac Book. Any old way that works will work for me.
Really, I am totally lost   Would be most grateful for any clues, hints, directions, even grateful for rolling of your eyes at the noob as long as you give me a hint

To clarify -- all my math books are PDFs, freely downloaded from the internet with no DRM. I suppose I could go redownload them all on the Mac, but there are hundreds of them and it's taken me months & years to collect them. I suppose I could just start my life over on the Mac Book and forget the iPad.
Since the iBooks app doesn't tell me "where" the files are on the iPad, I don't really know how to "copy" them to some "place" where I can pick them up on the iMac, or "drag-drop" them to Dropbox or SkyDrive.

  • How to transfer photos from iPad to Mac?

How do I transfer photos from an iPad to my Mac?  How can I rearrange the photo order on the iPad?  Thanks.

For photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites then see this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
If you want to change the order of photos that you synced to the iPad from your computer then you need to do it on your computer and then re-sync them : iPad photo sorting. Once the photos are in an album on the iPad you can't change their order.
You can also create new photo albums directly on the iPad if you have iOS 5+ on it via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen, and the photos that you copy into those albums (you can't move you can only copy) will be sorted by the order that you them into them i.e. if you add a new photo to the album then it should appear as the last one.

  • How do you update to iPad and mac using icloud

I am using iCloud. I upload to my iPad and then might change it. How do I access the updated version back at my mac?

    Hey kevin1953
I'd read over the following document to access your iCloud documents on your MacBook Pro:
iCloud: Access iWork documents stored in iCloud
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2704
Download documents from iCloud iWork to a Mac or Windows computer
Before you can open a document stored in iCloud from a Windows computer or a Mac with OS X v10.7.5 or later, you must download the document to your computer from iCloud iWork.
In iCloud iWork, click the button for the type of document you wish to download: Keynote for presentations, Pages for word processing, or Numbers for spreadsheets.
If necessary, select the folder that contains the document.
    Do one of the following:
Select a document and choose an option from the Download menu.
Select multiple documents to download, and choose Download document type from the Action pop-up menu.
On your Mac, Shift-click to select multiple adjacent documents or Command-click to select multiple nonadjacent documents.
On your Windows computer, Shift-click to select multiple adjacent documents or Control-click to select multiple nonadjacent documents.
    Have a great day,
    David

  • How To Put Videos On iPad With Mac?

ok so i have three videos on my desktop and on my itunes on my mac and i want those three videos on my ipad in my camera roll but when i send them their SUPER bad quality. so i want to know how to put them in my camera roll on my ipad 2.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
