How to synch in the most recent version of iTunes - 11.0.0.163 - The latest version updated today and changed the look of the program. I can't see where to click to synch. If I disconnect and restart it works fine automatically, but why do that?
I updated the latest version of iTunes today and it has a new look. That's fine but I can't see where to click to synch my ipod after downloading music or podcasts. It was always easy.
It might make it much easier on you if you enable the sidebar in iTunes. Launch iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. With iTunes set up like that, it should look a lot more familiar to you. You can select your device name under the devices heading and then go through all of the iTunes panes by clicking on them at the top of the iTunes Window.
My screenshot shows my iPad, but it works the same way with an iPod.

How do I configure my phone to the most recent sync in iTunes?
I am attempting to set up a temporary replacement phone and my attempts to restore my phone to the most recent backup (completed earlier today) are not working. Instead, my iTunes only recognizes the most recent backup from 1/22/13.
Is there any way I can change my most recent backup so that my iTunes will acknowledge it? If this is not possible, how can I sync the new phone so I don't lose almost three months of text history, photos, notes, etc?
I am using Mac OS X 10.5.8, and both the original and replacement phone are the 4S.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!Itunes only keeps one backup and every time you make a new backup the old one is overwritten. If you still have your old phone then make a manual backup of it (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766). As to the replacement phone and the three months of messages etc you might use a program likeiphone backup extractor to retrieve and keep information on it and also do a backup but remember you can't merge the two backups and if you restore from a backup the information that you get back is per whatever was on the backup you used for the restore

I have an iPhone 6 with 64 GB of memory. I have iTunes Match turned on my account and on the phone. Suddenly, the Music app is only displaying music purchased directly from iTunes and no playlists are displayed. This occurred after updating iTunes Match on my PC; when new music did not appear, I turned off iTunes Match off/on the PC then did the same on iPhone 6. It looks like iTunes Match is trying to do a full download to the phone but it never completes. Ideas?

A Note.
Technically the most recent Conversation (or Chat) that has a new message (be it iMessage or IM) will move to the top in the list on the left if it is set in the View Menu to do so.
Obviously this does need more than one Conversation or Chat to be listed to work.
It does not change the focus of the Chat/Conversation you are viewing.
iChat - the forerunner naver had an option to invert the chats.
The iChat Feedback page is where I use.
You will also see it does not list iChat 6 depsite listing Lion.
In this sense it has always beeen out of step on the iChat/Messages version front (it took me a long time via the Lounge and Host help to get it on the list of pages to be updated on New OS versions)

I try to update my software but it says I have the most recent software. However I know this is not true because I just had my phone replace by the apple store and the software that was on my phone before I re-synced it to my computer (from the back up) was more advanced then what was on my previous phone ( I.E> being able to FaceTime from a text message). So I was wondering if anyone knew the most recent version.

If that were true, you would not have been able to restore the backup.
iTunes will not allow you to restore the backup from on version onto a device running an older version of iOS.
Do you have facetime enabled? I believe there is an option in the settings to disable facetime entirely. -

If I have been looking at a message further down, the only way I know of to get back to the most recent message is to scroll with my finger (sometimes through hundreds of messages).
One way to get to the top (latest) is to touch the top of the screen above the list of emails.

First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

I need to know how to delete the most recent version of Firefox. I JUST downloaded it tonight and my computer doesn't have that little edit bar to work with so I can download the proper Adobe player and my internet has been screwed up ever since I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I just want the old version of it back since I apparently can't download the Adobe stuff that is necessary to keep my computer safe from Hackers. It sure would have been nice to know there was an issue with the new Firefox Update BEFORE I uploaded it. I have Vista which is usually an issue with both Adobe and Firefox. I don't seem to be able to run much of Adobe at all on my computer because of the Vista.

I "re-arranged" my files on my computer to free up space and now my iTunes is completely blank. No apps, no music, no ringtones. Nothing. How do I find and load the most recent previous version of iTunes? Since we went to the cloud I haven't actually plugged my phone in to sync it...I'm afraid it will ask me if I want to load what's on my phone into iTunes, and I just want my old iTunes back. When you re-arranged your Files for iTunes, in your C:\Users\Your Username\Music\iTunes folder ->should be a iTunes library.xml, and a Itunes library.lib- if you moved those thats why your library is blank.
Simply go to File- Add folder to library-> locate your Music folder- click choose - and you library should come back -

just hit the logo in the menu bar (the menu bar is the bar wich is in the top of ur screen) then click "Software Update..." and check the where it says iTunes, then click Update. ur mac will restart and then iTunes will have the latest version (10.5.1)

Unless you have a Free and paid version of an App that happen to be two distinct Apps in the store, there's really no way to have 2 versions of the same App.
When most apps update they replace the existing one automatically.
Though I do know of a few that have released completely different apps in an update instead of updating the existing one. When that happens usually the old version no longer works, and prompts you to update to the newer one. So all you can do is remove it.
