"messages" doesnt show up on my list on MacBook Pro to synch with ipad and iphone. Why? and what can I do? thanks

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you wish to use iMessage across all of your devices. To do so, you’ll want to link your phone number to your Apple ID:

My iPhone 5c is receiving the same messages that I've already read on my Macbook Pro and I would like to stop connecting my phone number to the computer. Is there a way to fix this? I am using IOS 1.7.2 if this problem has anything to do with my phone and that has any relevance.
Edit: I would not like to turn iMessage off on my phone, as I use it because a lot of the area I live in does not have service while we have wifi.Try this:
1) On the Mac, open Messages and then open Messages Preferences
2) In the left-hand pane, select your e-mail account that is receiving message.
3) Uncheck "Enable this Account"
Let us know whether this worked or not. -
HT5012 Update correct trust certificates. How? iPhone iPad and MacBook Pro?
All three of my devices have certificates that are self signed and listed as untrusted. How can I see if I am using the proper trust certificates? Can I erase them and download apple trusted certificates?

Photos that were taken with the iPad (or any photos in the camera roll) can be deleted right on the iPad. Tap the trash can icon in the top right corner if you are viewing the pho,to in full screen, or if you are viewing as thumbnails - tap the arrow in the upper right corner - tap the photos that you want to delete and then tap - Delete.
Photos that were synced from your computer using iTunes can only be deleted by de-selecting them from the folder from where they were synced - and then re-syncing. -

Let me see if I've gotten this right! You want to remove an account from BOTH machines? Do this for your new machine first, then for the other.
Click the Apple logo on the top left of the screen, System Preferences, Users and Groups (under Systems), unlock the lock in the window if its locked (you need to know the password), select the user that you wish to remove, and click the - sign next to the + sign for Login options. A window will pop up with some options. Select Delete this user and securely, and click 'Delete user'.
After this, do an update from the App Store.
Thats all there is to it.
For the other machine repeat the process except for one thing. Before you delete the user in this case YOU, you will have to give Administrator priviledges to your son bu checking the box 'Allow user to administer this computer'.
Do NOT do anything from Finder ... if you dont know how to fix the consequences of the problems caused.
There is no need to unauthorize your iTunes account on your new machine. Do it on the old machine though. -

I saved a corrected, most up to date version of my master Address Book Contacts as a back-up on my Mac Book Pro.
then in an effort to "simplify my life" i attempted to sync my I phone contacts - ( pre clean-up version) with my clean list on Mac Book Pro, New I pad and newly available icloud. DUH!! Using iTunes to do the sync caused the clean MacBOOK Pro list to be commingled with the dirty iphone contacts. amd now the whole mess is in the cloud.
I need to clear out the contaminated lists from all iplaces, and startover with Back-up on my macbook pro. BUT HOW???

KarenI had exported an address book backup: abbu
so since i wrote, i have found my way into the cloud: selected all entries - deleted them all from the cloud.
This wiped out contacts on my iphone and i pad, and MBP, as well as on the cloud. I then imported the abbu back into my now empty address book.
To repopulate the crowd, i selected all in my address book and created a single card vCard for export to my desktop. I then dragged that vcard into my empty cloud. Now my cloud has the same clean contacts as my MBP addressbook. The cloud then pushed the clean contacts into my empty ipad and iphone contacts.
I had to go back to Address Book>preferences>Accounts and Add an I cloud account - but if you accidentally create a second i cloud account - all of a sudden your address book will duplicate itself. I quickly reversed it by deleting one of the icloud accounts in my Address Book>preferences>Accounts.
I created a new entry on my MBP and it is now on all devices and in cloud
I also created a new entry on my iPhone and it is now in the address book on my MBP.
I feel empowered!!

Hi there. Can anyone help? I have an iphone, ipad and macbook pro. Whenever I add anything to my calender it always puts itself in twice and always reminds me of everything twice on each of my appliances. I'm sure it just a matter of ticking or unticking boxes but I can't seem to get the right ones.
- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.
