How to synch Project with a moved Event?

I realized after I put my project together that I did not Import my Event to my External drive. So now I have moved my event and deleted the old one, the Project is complaining that there isn't any source by displaying the YELLOW triangle. I know the event is there but iMovie does not. Is there a way to relink?

Do you have enough room to move your Event back to the internal drive? If so, move the Event folder back to the Movies/iMovie Events folder on your internal drive.
Now, open iMovie, and verify that your project is working again.
When it is, you can move the Event back to the external drive, but you must do it from within iMovie.
In iMovie, Click View/Events by Disk.
You should see an icon for your disk in the Events source list in iMovie. (If it is not there, it may not be formatted correctly as HFS+ (journalled)).
Drag the Event using the iCon for the Event in the Event Source List. Drag it to the External Hard Drive icon in the Event Source List and drop it.
Your Event will move to the external drive and the links will be maintained.

If it mabe the case, down load the data from table MBEW - Field Name VERPR to excel file. then u apply conditions, like greater than this value.
U'll get the desired out put.

How to do something with the moved file ???

I bet it is easy, but as I am new to AppleScript, still need help..
This is a folder action. When a new file is added to the folder, the folder action script runs, and if the file name contains a particular text, then the file is moved to another folder - in this case, it is moved to a folder on an external hard drive. It is described in this script:
copy name of thisItem as string to FileName
if FileName contains "House" then
move thisItem to POSIX file "/Volumes/ALL/House/Season 5/"
The problem is - in that folder (/Volumes/ALL/House/Season 5/) I also have set a folder action, that, for example, converts or opens every file added to folder. The things is that, it is rather slow to run 2 folder actions and I don't know why it is so, but I guess it is because of the external hard drive. My aim is to remove the folder action for the folder (/Volumes/ALL/House/Season 5/), and do everything in the initial folder action.
So the question is - How can I operate with (for example, convert or open the newly added file) the file added in the folder (/Volumes/ALL/House/Season 5/) via the first folder action script?
Or in other words, how do I use the newly added file? I tried to do it like this:
copy name of thisItem as string to FileName
if FileName contains "House" then
move thisItem to POSIX file "/Volumes/ALL/House/Season 5/"
open thisItem
But obviously, it opens the original thisItem! So how can I do something with the newly added file in the location /Volumes/ALL/House/Season 5/ ???

That's easy - you know the file name and you know the directory you copied the file to, so instead of:
open thisItem
you just:
open POSIX file "/Volumes/ALL/House/Season\ 5/" & FileName

How to export project with dual monaural instead of stereo?

I have a very large project with many audio tracks and they are all adjusted right now so they sound right on a balanced stereo system, but I want to make sure the final sound isn't corrupted by someone having their channels adjusted unevenly, so I've decided to sacrifice any stereo effect and output dual identical monaural channels...but I'm not sure the easiest way to do it. Is using Quicktime Conversion and checking "monaural" a way? Or is there someway to do it inside the program...but not irreversibly?
I appreciate any help anybody can give me.

I was over at a friends yesterday I had given him a copy of my dvd and he had said the sound was horrible..that in many places the bkgd music totally overpowered the dialogue and in other places in the program it was just the opposite. Sure enough, he was right. It wa horrible. And I easily discovered the reason. He has a large screen HD TV and his teenagers have the audio from the dvd player hooked to a stereo and had the levels and the equalization set totally different for each of the two tracks.
And I think some other people at one time or another do indeed disturb the balance of their stereo without even realizing it.
Stereo is 2 channels, Left & Right. What could any
user do to 'corrupt the sound' other than change the
Left-Right balance control on their amp, which most
people never touch.

How to solve issue with strange iphoto events shown in itunes for sync IOS devices ? This issue is very old and not been fixed by apple... terrible

all softwares latest version january 2013.
I see in itunes many strange crazy iphoto events that in iphoto do not exist.
These vents are named as data and contains just few photos.
each event can be sync with IOS devices, but that event is not in iphoto !
It looks like miniatures... no way to solve this issue making all possible maintenance in iphoto library.
THis issue is very old, very terrible, people start to have doubts about iphoto as a reliable software.
Need a fix asap.

Apple aren't here. As you're the only person with this problem that I've seen on here, I would suspect that its more a local problem on your machine than something Apple need to fix.
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

OTL- Timecard: How can associate Project with Time

I have an OTL requirement where users are required to enter no more than 8 hours of sick time a week.
I have an idea on how to accomplish this but I am not sure how to count the hours when Project = Sick.
Can somebody give me an idea how to accomplish this? This is what I have so far:

The code above is not correct because it is failing when I submit 5 hours for the week.

Best way to split 3D project with constantly moving cameras

I created a 1 minute project in which the camera travels between 3 sets, while there is an animated 2D background. The background consists of overlaying .psd files which move around. The camera sweeps each set and then zooms to the next. Within each set are .mov and .psd files with tons of keyframing (although not too many filters). I think I'm starting to hit the outer limits of my hardware. I have it set to render draft quality for now, and it's still functional. I'm wondering what would be the best way to split it into smaller files, yet retain smooth motion of the camera between sets? I still need to fine tune the duration of each set, so I'm a little hesitant to break it up a this point, but may need to do so anyway. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I did it. Project complete. It turned out that I did have enough RAM, just not enough to RAM preview it all. I did flatten quite a bit of it prior to the camera moves. And an additional challenge was when I wanted to add a 5 second clip at the beginning. I wound up adding a second camera because all my timing was thrown off.

Hey Bogie, I was thinking of starting a separate thread in the FCP or Compressor forums with recommended encodes for getting this monster of a file on the web. I tried several iterations and finally found one that both looked good, was big enough to watch, and small enough to load quickly. Does it make sense to start a new thread for which I already have the answer?
