How to synchronise the play status of podcasts between iphone and itunes?

Hi there, thank you for reading,
I am annoyed now for a few months about the disfunctional synchronizing between my iphone and itunes when it's about the play status of podcasts.
I get new podcasts in every new day and i play many, so it's essential to see immediately which are new and which i have listened to or have half-listened.
This functionality was there when podcasts were still played in the Music app on the iphone, but now it's moved to a podcast app, it doesn't. Weird.
I run the most recent software and the hardware is fine. If you have any to get around the daily manual synchronisation, please let me know.

Hi Jim - thanks so much for your detailed & helpful reply. I actually do already have those columns shown in my playlist views - my problem is that I don't believe what they are showing!
For instance, out of my c.13k tracks, my smart playlists count:
Matched - 42
Ineligable - 46
Purchased - 15
Not Matched - 121
Uploaded - 27
Error - 13,060
When I first started using Match it spent several days uploading tracks, and now is having another incremental go, and showing 325 of 1464 Uploaded.
Ah - that's interesting - I just looked at my 'iCloud Matched' playlist on my iPhone, and it says there are 11,876 tracks in it, even though iTuns on my MacBookpro shows 42! But then my iPhone also shows 11,876 in the 'iCloud Error' list. And in my 'Ineligble' list. And my 'Purchased' list...so who knows! Which was the thinking behind my original query.
But I do appreciate your reply Jim, which has been helpful even with the above situation.

Problems syncing podcasts between iPhone and iTunes

I have just upgraded from an iPhone 3gs to an iPhone 4s. However I am now experiencing problems sycing podcasts through iTunes. When I have played a podcast on the iPhone and then sync it still shows as unplayed on iTunes. The played podcasts also remain on the iPhone after the sync even though I have set it to only sync unplayed podcasts.
Appreciate any advice - this has only started happening since getting the iPhone 4s (it worked perfectly on the 3gs).

My ipad has stopped syncing my calendar. Both iPhone and ipad. After going to the setting - mail, contacts,calendar my Ipad has no where under the calendar category for default calendar. How can I get my calendar to sync between iPhone and ipad???

Up until recently my calendar were syncing (between my iPhone 4 & ipad mini). They are no longer synching. I have searched and everything matches to all the resolutions, the problem is on my ipad under Calendars in the settings there is no option for "default calendar". Every other option matches to what is on my phone, just the default calendar option is missing. The default email is the same for both. Help!!!!

An interesting additional symtom is that items loaded in the PC (which immedialely duplicate to the iCloud calendar on eht PC - no worries, there) do not transpose the devices (as above) but, loading an item into the phone, it goes to the PC (which is fine, too). But not to the iPad. Interestingly, there fewer calendar display options on the iPad than on the phone.
I talked to Apple a few months ago (after ISO 5) - mainly about the 6000 plus addresses that suddenly appeared in my Contacts - and his advice was do all contact and calendar actions on the PC. "icloud is still faulty"
So there we are! I must have items and reminders in my PC - it is my main work station - and need them on my devices to avoid conflicts when away from my office.

Game Center is just simply used for what you are seeing, leaderboards and stats between your friends and yourself.
To launch an app, first download it from the app store, then just tap the icon on the home screen when it is done downloading!!!

How to reset the response status and response header

Dear Masters
Actually we are using NTLM Authentication process to get the system login id for our web application. The problem which I am getting is after running the NTLM Authentication Code I am not able to call the action class. It is telling 400 Server error bad request. I am using Struts Dispatch Action Class. In Dispatch Action I will be passing a name (eg. method) as a parameter in struts-config.xml file and using that parameter I will be calling the respective method in the Action class. The problem which I am facing is after running the authentication code I am not able to fire the action class. It is telling the error in the console as "parameter named method is not found". Actually in NTLM Authentication code they are setiing the response status to www-authenticate,NTLM. If I reset the response status back to the normal form I think i will be able to fire the action class. Please give me a suggestion on how to reset the response status and response header back to the normal form. Any solution to this is appreciated. Please respond your reply as soon as possible. anyone know? I submitted my first podcast, then changed the name in feedburner. The new name is appearing once you are in the podcast window of my itunes, but not in the itunes store catalog. how do I fix?

Troubleshooting Your Feed
iTunes should update your listing at least once every 24 hours. If you made changes more than 24 hours ago that are not yet reflected in your iTunes listing, there is a good chance that your feed has broken. When iTunes encounters a broken feed, it ignores the feed and continues to display the old data.

Ping your feed to make sure iTunes has attempted to update your feed recently.
Review the technical spec, particularly the example feed, to ensure that every detail of your podcast’s feed is supported by iTunes.
Use a feed validation service like www.feedvalidator.org to check for particular problems. This may be helpful in determining a specific problem with syntax.
If you used a software- or online-based feed creation service, check to ensure your settings there are correct and iTunes-compliant.
Subscribe to the feed in iTunes to see if it works. Open iTunes, go to the Advanced menu, choose "Subscribe to podcast..." and enter your feed’s URL.

Fast forward icon in the play status display

for the past few days, instead of displaying a play or pause icon in the upper-left hand corner (the play status), my ipod is displaying a fastforward icon. that's it. not that anything else is wrong, i just get worried when anything out of the ordinary happens. give me a shout. thanks.
