How to tell if DNG is raw or not?

Anybody know how to get at DNG metadata, e.g. is it raw vs. linear, lossy, etc..., via plugin I mean.

So, about this time last week i decided to jailbreak my iphone 4 ios 5.01. being 15 most of my friends with iphones have it jailbroken. so after hours of youtube i found a way to do it and It was a success! i was really excited that i finally had a jailbroken iphone. Everything went perfectly! however i want to know if my iphone has actually been un-jailbroken being that i restored my iphone from a back up wear my phone was in a jailbroken state. and since i uninstalled cydia from my phone before i backed it up and restored it, there isnt any clear way to tell whether its still jailbroken or not. please if you understand anything i just said please help me lol. i do not want my warranty to continue being voided ! thanks!

If you restored from a backup remnants of the jailbreak will still be on the phone. You must go to settings/general/reset - Erase all content and settings, delete all iPhone firmware images from your computer, then do a Restore and set it up as a new phone. You cannot restore your backup. You must reinstall your apps, set up email accounts and other settings from scratch. You will lose all app content, such as game scores.
Even this will not remove all traces of the jailbreak; Apple will still be able to tell it was jailbroken. But for your purposes the jailbreak will be gone.
There is one exception; if you also unlocked the phone as part of the jailbreak the modem firmware will not match the iOS version, and future updates may cause problems.

Well, i found the basic reason: i use Swing default Look&Feel (Metal). If i use Windows Look&Feel, this button selektion behaviour changes => ENTER in Windows Look&Feel is SPACE in Metal Look&Feel (for button selections).

How to tell which version of camera raw I have? The only Google search I found answering this question refers to is 2 years old and seems to no longer apply. There is no File, Edit etc. menu on the new version of Camera Raw with (Photoshop/Bridge CS6). I do use Adobe Application Manager to do my updates telling me if a new version exists or not, nevertheless I would like to know.

The F key works as described for me in CS6-ACR7.4 with ACR as the window with focus. The same function is available using the double-arrow-window icon at the right of the Preview checkbox near the top right of the preview area.
When in full-screen mode there is no title bar, but when I press the F key or click the double-arrow, again, ACR becomes smaller and I can see the title bar that includes the ACR version and camera model. This is on Windows7-64-bit on a 1600x1050 monitor. Perhaps you’re ACR’s title bar is off the top of the screen so you can’t see it, or maybe ACR optimizes some things if you have a smallish display—do you?
A plug-in is a program that interfaces with another program but is not independently runnable application, itself, bit is independently updatable, so in this instance, Photoshop doesn’t need to be downloaded and installed every time Adobe adds support for a few more cameras.

Thanks John. I have tried solutions 1 to 3 from (-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.h tml) and they do not work. So I presume that all I can do is to remove all 25 CC applications and start again!
Incidently, ( http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ ) does not list Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 as an update even though Adobe have announced that it is available (http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/04/camera-raw-8-4-and-dng-converter-8-4-now-a vailable.html). The same applies for Adobe Premiere Pro 7.2.2 (http://blogs.adobe.com/premierepro/2014/04/premiere-pro-cc-7-2-2.html). If they are not available this would explain why I cannot download them but I am very suprised that Adobe didn't mention this when I contacted them.

How to save 12-bit RGGB RAW in 10-bit log Adobe DNG?

I am implementing a vision project, and want to save disk space by converting the 12-bit linear raw files to 10-bit log Adobe DNG files.
I went though the DNG document but could not find the formula or matrix to convert from 12-bit linear RAW to 10-bit log DNG.
Can someone kindly offer these details ?

I'm glad you mention the issues with packing bytes.
I had 12-bit RGGB raw saved as a DNG, but the colors were off.
The byte order in Adobe is different and seems to be undocumented.
I had not problems with 8-bit RAW converted to DNG.

I have code that writes packed data, but it would be nice to access the way that DNG expects the packed data to be written.
For 10-bit, I would be looking at 4 pixels in 5 bytes. I am unaware of any packing that would allow this, and if Adobe DNG actually supports this.
At least with 12-bit, 3 pixels in 2-bytes, there seems to be support - however, the actual pixel order is unknown.
I will go through the Linearization tables in the DNG spec now.

DNG / Camera RAW 8.3 issue

Have CS6. Just downloaded Camera Raw update from here:

because my CS6E Help > Updates is grayed out & I can't do it from there...
Update lists Sony RX10 RAWs as being recognized.
Download was reported as successful & file was correct size at 154MB.
DNG program opens as separate window from CS6E.
But it sees a folder of RX10 RAWs as empty
with message that RAWs are not recognized.
Any advice on resolving appreciated!

Was able to convert SonyRAWs to DNG-RAWs.
Am using Windows 7.
Had CS2 on same laptop & couldn't open CS6 Bridge.
(some kind of conflict reported by others as to CS2-CS6)
So tried deleting CS2 & CS6 & reinstalling CS6.
But now am able to update to Camera RAW 8.3 from 7.0.
Still can't open CS6 Bridge, too.
Where do I find AdobeApplicMgr & how to check for updates?

I have a new NikonD7200 camera. I have updated to the latest version of LightroomCC and restarted my computer. LR tells me that the raw format from my Nikon is not supported by Lightroom? Any ideas??

Lightroom tells me that the RAW format from the D7200 is not s format recognised by Lightroom.

Adobe Bridge in Photoshop - How to install Bridge and camera raw? And what is it all about?

Hi everyone! I am actually in love with this adobe photoshop. I used PSCS2 before, but later on upgraded to CS4. But I feel tired in upgrading to CS5.
One time, I found a tutorial in youtube about camera raw, and would really want to use it. But I was wondering how to install the camera raw. I believe camera raw is a plugin? so I downloaded the plugin here, installed it in my PS. I downloaded a file Camera Raw.8bi and paste it on my C drive - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\File Formats.
I now am very confused, how will I open it? I do not have adobe bridge! After I installed the camera raw, I opened my PS. I clicked the file>then browse in bridge. I had an error, it's "error 2 photoshop11 undefined". Which is what I thought, I might have done something wrong with installing it.
My question is, do you still need adobe bridge installed in order to use camera raw?
If yes, how does it work? How am I suppose to open camera raw?
If no, how am I going to open camera raw without bridge?
And also, where will I download adobe bridge? I cannot find one here for CS4, only adobe bridge for CS5. I am wondering, is it okay to install adobe bridge CS5 and use it with my PS CS4?

WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) is a set of extensions to HTTP/1.1.
The main difference from FTP as far as I can see is that it allows you to edit documents on a remote web server.
WebDAV was used by the Apple server - MobileMe but is not generally supported by hosting services.
Using WebDAV you can mount a directory locally. This was how iDisk worked on your Mac and you could drag files onto it to upload them to the remote directory.
With WebDAV, a number of users can share a directory which is why its used in local networks but presents security problems when using a remote server.
If you are into file sharing rather than publishing, Dropbox or its new rival SugarSync are more appropriate.
