How to tell what version of iTunes is installed?

Hi,
I don't know anything about Windows, but my aunt has a Windows computer and she just bought an iPod nano. She is having some problems getting the nano to work properly. She did install the software that came with the Nano.
How do you determine what version of iTunes is installed on a Windows computer?
Patrick

Within iTunes==>Help==>About
The dialog box will scroll the version number.

  • How to tell what version of Acrobat or Reader was last used to save a PDF

How can I tell what version of Acrobat or Reader was last used to save a PDF file? My users are using fillable forms from grants.gov. We want them to use Adobe Reader 8.1.3 to fill these forms, but some accidentally use the Pro version of Acrobat. They need this to make PDFs from Word & other apps, but Pro will corrupt the fillable forms.
When I open a saved form in Reader 8.1.3 and click File > Properties it says Acrobat 7.x even though I know it was saved with 8.1.3.
Is there a way to know which version number and type (Reader or Pro) last saved a PDF?

But it won't tell you what was used last. It just gives the original information.
It also won't differentiate between Pro and Standard and of course won't mention Reader at all.

  • How to tell what version of a document the workflow ran against?

I am using the OOB Approval workflow and in the workflow information I see a Document field, but that links latest version of the document. How can I tell what version of the document the workflow actually ran against?

    Hi,
Set a variable in the workflow to be equal to the version of the document.
Now you can use this variable to update a column in the document library with the version and date the workflow was ran. Next time the workflow runs, update this column with next run details.
OR write this variable to workflow history. Hope it helps.

  • How to tell what version of Mac OSX?

    Hello;
I am a person who  works for a university here in the US. Alot of the times, I have macs that dont boot, but I can see the data from the hard drive, via an external dock. Is there a way to tell what version of the OS is from a strictly file level? Without being booted into the OS?
    Thanks,
    Brian

If the computer's booted into an OS which doesn't support that(not all Mac OS X versions do), open the file /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist in any text editor.

  • HT2188 How do I determine what version of iTunes is installed on my iPad2?

I purchased Masterpiece Downton Abbey, Season 2 back in February of 2012. I have not been able to download it to my iPad2 and Apple wants the version of iTunes installed on my iPad before I can file a problem report as well as the original receipt. I would think that downloading a show from their store to their device would be simple. But I keep receiving a message that I do not have permission to access the requested resource even when attempting to download the show from the original receipt.

All iPads run the same version of iTunes and that is dependent upon the OS that you are running on the iPad. It's not like you can update any of the preinstalled apps individually like you can with other apps. The app updates come with the iOS updates.
That is simply a standard question that they are asking. How are you sending this information to them? If you have to or if you can, just ignore the question and if there is a space for special instructions or a description, put any pertinent information in that section of the form.

  • How to tell what version and platform created an InDesign File

Is there any way to tell if the InDesign file is created/or last saved on a Mac or PC and what version it is?
We receive files from many customers and some InDesign files appear to be passed back and forth between PC and Mac. Some fonts used are definitely PC and some are definitely Mac.
But we are not finding anything to give us the above info.
    Thank you,
    Linda Nivin

hold down the Command (apple) key as you click on About InDesign (with an open file) and you should see something like:
Scroll down through the Document History: and you will see a series of entries, starting with the creation.

  • How to tell what version of Flash a FLA is saved as?

I can't find out what version of the Flash IDE my FLA file is compatible with. The only solution I have is to try opening it in earlier and earlier versions until it doesn't work. I've heard of a utility called "Flaver", which is used to detect the FLA version. Is there no way to do this otherwise?

  • How to tell what version of htmldb is running?

A while back I installed htmldb (now application express) on AIX 5.2.
I think I used the Companion CD 10gR2 so thought that I had installed version 2 of htmldb. But when you log in it appears to show that version 1.6 is running.
Is there a way I can tell for sure which version I have?

    David,
The 10gR2 companion CD has 1.6 on it. 2.0 is a separate download.
    See: http://otn.oracle.com/apex
The version number you see at the bottom right on the login screen is what you have installed.

  • How to tell what was the latest patch installed on VMware ESX Server 3i, 3.5.0, 207095

    Hello Guys,
I have been running an old server that was installed as a test system on a DELL workstation - Optiplex GX620 (32 bit).
During the installation I had to confirgure the file: /usr/lib/vmware/installer/Core/TargetFilter.py to change the following line:
    "return interface.GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_IDE" to read:
"return interface.GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_ISCSI" this made it worked and I have been using it for 3 years now. However, at this time I was hoping to update it with the latest patches and updates and I cannot figure out if I have ESXi or just ESX, nor what was my last update and what is required next.
I have used this command to get the following output:
    # vmware -v
    VMware ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 build-207095
... I believe the 3i indicates that I have an ESXi 3.5.0 but is build-207095 the same buid as ESXi 3.5.0 Update 5?
If not, how do I go about updating it? What is the KB # I should download?
I can manage it using vSphere Client 5.5 and I can SSH into it using Putty.
Note: When I run... "# esxupdate --bundle=ESXe350-201302401-I-SG.zip update" from within the folder where its at in the datastore, nothing happens... just a new line is scrolled.
    Also...
    # esxupdate query

... is there any further update for this system? I believe so as the Heartbleed patch etc. was not around when I was installing this server back in 2010.

    Hello Richardson Porto,
I wanted to tell you that I appreciate the help so far.
Also wanted to point out to you, that the KB indicated above is older than Update 5, which from your instructions is what I have installed. That KB is for U2.
Now, the document definitely has step by step instructions on installing, querying etc. But my problem is ... NOT ALL COMMANDS WORK FOR ME!
This is why I am here because all the instructions I have been reading does not work with my flavor of ESX 3.5.0, 207095... WHY? It has me stumped.
For example, here are some commands the doc asked me to do and they failed: (Note that I had to unzip the folder on my windows box and upload it to /tmp using vSphere Client)
    /tmp # ls
    ESX350-201302402-BG      ESX350-201302402-BG.zip  vmhsdaemon-0
    /tmp # unzip ESX350-201302402-BG.zip

    /tmp/ESX350-201302402-BG #
NOTE: All these commands were run sequentially and I just copied and paste it from my SSH Client (PuTTy.exe)
Is there a toolkit I need to install to have these commands or what really am I missing here? Host is in Maintenance Mode and the 1 VM that's on it is off!
I am going to start a new discussion with this NEW ISSUE, since the Heading of this DISCUSSION has already been SOLVED! Thanks again!

  • How do I tell what version (update / release level) of version 6 has been applied to my system?

    Question
How do I tell what version (update / release level) of version 6 has been applied to my system? I have applied several different release levels to version 6 of FF but all the about feature tells me is Version 6.0. no version! This seems to be a change in the way updates are handled. Is that a bending because of the speed of which you're pushing out updates and new releases?

    @cchur <br />
Nope, I never used Chrome, but I did try Chromium on my Windows desktop PC for a few months last year. I got tired of the Google updater. exe running all the time and Google's method of doing updates, so it's gone. I do have Chromium on my Linux EeePC since last summer, but Ubuntu handles all updates and gives the user the capability to accept or deny, any or all updates - much more to my liking, similar to the way Mozilla does it. I don't like software developers forcing to update until I am ready to proceed.
There's a lot more about this new Fast Release system, than just the lack of visible version numbers, that I don't like. The Nightly, Aurora, Beta, & Release sequence is dumb with the way it changes the version numbers. I prefer installing (for instance) what will become version 7 and have that installation progress thru the 4 stages, instead. Now it's like Nightly going from 7 to 8, Aurora going from 6 to 7, and Beta doing - hell, I won't know if it becomes a Release or if it just dies and I will have to install the Release version myself. ''Quite honestly I don't care, because I don't think this new "system" is going to last too long without major modifications. Too damn many users are so pissed off, that when Firefox starts losing large numbers of users, Chrome keeps growing and eventually passes Firefox in number of users and market share of usage - Mozilla will wake up and see the "light" and change back to the way things used to be done, to a certain extent.''
I also dislike the UI changes in 4/5/6/7 enough that I am still using Firefox 3.6 for almost everything and Firefox 2.0.0.20 for the rest. I have been setting my toolbars up almost like Mozilla did for Firefox 4, since Firefox '''0.7''' in 2003 and I haven't come up with a workable combination of mods and extensions to configure Firefox to look and work the way I have been doing for almost 8 years now.
