As for how to find your product and numbers, on my HP TouchSmart 320-1030, for example, I found both numbers on a sticker on the back of my PC, near the bottom, just under the inputs (USB, power, etc.). I also found that information in roughly the same area on my friend's HP ENVY TouchSmart 23-d034. A really easy way to find out is to press the CTRL, ALT, and S keys. The HP Support Information box will open, showing your model number, product number, serial number, and other important information. I used Snipping Tool to take a screen capture of this information on my screen, and then I printed it and emailed it to myself. It's good information to have on hand if you're getting support, making warranty inquiries, or for your insurance files, if your PC were, say, damaged in a fire, tornado, etc. Once you obtain that information, go to the Drivers and Download page. Click the Support and Drivers button, and enter your product number. Check for new drivers for your product. You can also get support and warranty information at the above link.

Meanwhile, I would like to just disable the touch portion of my computer, because often, it will think it is active (probably damaged the sensor in the fall :-P and take the power away from my mouse, open random windows, and generally... Make an otherwise normal PC unuseable. Is there ANYTHING that I can do to disable the touch pad? Even a list of the touch specific processes that I can immediately delete upon startup would be great, because it seems to give me a few minutes before it decides to start acting up. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your trouble.
Can you try these methods to disable the touchscreen:
For Windows 7:
1. Click on Start > type Pen and Touch and run the app
2. On the Pen and Touch window, click on the Touch Tab and uncheck Use your finger as an input Device and hit apply the settings (Source: Disable touchscreen on Windows 7)
For Windows 8:
Check this website for screenies

How do you disable the "Touch to return to call" banner on an iPhone 4s and it is factory unlocked?

If your trying to just simply have it not show while navigating the OS during a call, then there is no option to disable it. If it's a problem where it's continuing to show after you disconnect a call it could be a fault in code that fails to run the script to terminate the banner need upon disconnect. I would restore the phone using itunes as a first troubleshooting step. Another avenue might be an issue with the phone failing to recognize the end of call signal from the carrier. In which case I would have the SIM card changed. Easy thing to do at your local carrier store.

This may seem like a simple question but every time I attempt to access my iCloud account, I get the Welcome screen asking me if I want to activate Find Your device (whatever device I'm using) and if I want to activate Find my Friends (NO) etc. Half the time I don't even know what the correct address is for iPad and get all kinds of other websites and I just give up. Where are you trying to access your iCloud account, and from what device?
If you are trying to access your iCloud account at http://www.icloud.com/ from an iOS device, you can't. The iCloud.com website is not designed to be accessed from iOS devices - access it on your Mac.
Your Time Machine and WD external backups and Carbon Copy backups are nothing to do with iCloud, so I don't know what you think accessing iCloud will achieve in your situation anyay.

I think you may need to make some registry changes if you want to get rid if it. For applications like Lightroom and bridge and droplets are not going to use your shortcuts to start Photoshop up they will use what in the windows registry for key Photoshop.exe for command open and edit as will file associations when you double click on an image file type associated with Photoshop

Over the last year I've gotten really big into using keyboard shortcuts and I'm amazed at how much more quickly I can fly around the computer now. I also learned how to use Quicksilver on a Mac and love that for quickly switching between apps without having to go for the mouse.
What I'm wondering is whether anything exists that temporarily disables the mouse to basically force you to learn keyboard shortcuts and other ways to navigate "mouse-lessly". Ideally something where the mouse would be disabled and you'd have do something to actually re-enable it anytime you want to use the mouse. After having something like that going for a few days my guess is that you'd have learned most of the remaining shortcuts?

You can put your iPhone into screen-lock mode (also called sleep mode). It is not off when in this mode: It can still receive calls and other data, but it will not respond to touches on the display, it will not display anything on the screen (except briefly when new data comes in, such as a phone call), and will use much less battery power.
You can place your iPhone into sleep mode by briefly pressing the power button on the top.
You can wake your iPhone from sleep mode by briefly pressing either the power button on the top of the home button just below the screen.
You can set your iPhone to automatically enter sleep mode after a short period of time within the Settings app.

When I'm using the custom shape tool in CS6, it will often bring up a new window labeled "create custom shape". It's really disruptive and I'd like to know how I can disable it to prevent it from poping up.

OK I can now get the dialog window to pop up with a single click in a document with my mouse or intuos tablet. I had never seen that popup. Under normal conditions with the mouse I use and my old Intuos 2 now replaced with an Intuos 5 with default sensitivity setting I never saw that popup. Now that I know it exists and how to get it I can pop it up. Try changing your Wacom feel perhaps your getting extra single clicks.
