How to test Bulk API against testing environment?

Hi,
I need to be able to do testing of my code to import data and would like to do it without messing with live data. Is there any way to be able to have a testing environment for Eloqua that I would use to test my Bulk API imports?
Thanks,
Rami

Rami, you would need to get either a sandbox (if you are an existing client) or join the technology partner program and get a development instance.  See Getting Started With the Eloqua Platform for more details.

  • How to migrate custom user attributes (UDF) from test environment to production when a sandbox is published

    Hi all,
    I like to migrate custom attributes from test environment to my production environment. I read OIM documentation and i tried to fallow these steps but I cannot export sandbox and import it because all sandboxes are published in the test environment.
    I exported and imported users metadata by deployment manager only. Now, all migrated attributes are in the OIM DB but I do not see these attributes in Administration Console.
    How can i solve this issue? Is it possible to export published sandbox and import it in the other environment?
    Thank you.
    Milan

    In OIM 11g R2 you need to export sandbox before publishing sandbox for custom user fields from DEV or TEST environment.
    Then import exported sandbox in the another environment.
    If you didn't exported custom user fields sandbox from your TEST or DEV in that case you need to create those again in another environment manually. There is no other option for this in OIM 11g R2.

  • How to change parsing schema for using application in test environment?

    Hi,
    I set up a test environment, i.e. an other Oracle schema with identical tables, views etc. to the productive environment. I wanted to duplicate the APEX application so that there will be a test version using the test Oracle schema and productive version using the productive oracle schema.
    Can some one please give me some tip how to do this? As far as I see i could change the parsing schema in the APEX Application install SQL in the following ways:
    1. While exportin the application with APEX
    2. In the result install f...sql file using search-replace
    3. While importing the APEX application via APEX Development GUI.
    I would prefere 1. or 3. but in both cases when I would like to change the schema name, the drop dowl list does not contain the test Oracle schema name. Do I have to grant something to the APEX worksspace schema for the test schema name to show up in the drop dowl list?
    Tamás

    On that screen,
    - click Create
    - select "Existing" Schema, click Next
    - select the Workspace, click Next
    - select the Schema, click Next
    - click Add Schema
    And now you'll end up with two schema's attached for the same Workspace.

    Hi
    In Tools->Dac Repository Management click on export and select the container you want to export.I think
    as your custom container is still referencing original container except for the parameters changed............so u need to export both of them...by selecting both of them in the check box....hope this helps

  • How to Test AIR 1.5

    Sorry if this seems slightly off center, but I blame Adobe, not myself. Trying to determine the true status and positioning of AIR amongst the various Flex forums and projects for an outsider is practically impossible. So, I will be brief. In September Mr. Chambers sent opened the flow by telling us that we could find FP10 integrated with Flex SDK in something you call 1.5 or Cosmo, or both. He was properly circumspect, so I didn't rush into it -- there was not even an ADL binary when I checked. Now it is November, the Trunk is at 4005, and ostensibly, everything we need to start trying to take advantage of FP support of 3D operations is out there. But where? Where do we get a version of AIR 1.5 that can be installed on a target desktop, so that we can try to run the ADT test cycle?
    Call it Gumbo, call it Flex4, call it whatever, but can someone tell us how to start testing it for AIR application deployment?
    Thank you.

My user <br />    cares.<BR><BR>My user will get frequent updates to an ever-growing body of <br />    software called an application, and he will get them over those same slow <br />    bandwidth network links that the Flex user sees.  What's "good for the <br />    goose is good for the gander".  There is simply no reason not to <br />    architect the library of code that we use to cobble together the application <br />    and use the same intelligent caching mechanism in both environments.  I <br />    looked for a month for a white paper or discussion of how to 'modularize' an <br />    AIR app but all that you wanted to publish were white papers on how to <br />    'modularize' a Flex app.<BR><BR>I'm sure that you guys have a bunch of <br />    object diagrams and product architecture blueprints that you have memorized <br />    -- but that is not what we see 'outside the black box'.  What we see is <br />    a confusing distinction between the AIR efforts and the Flex efforts <br />    although the code base and efforts are substantially the same.  And if <br />    that is true from an internals point of view, put on your end-user hat and <br />    look at how we view a AIR/Flex app -- it is all one.<BR><BR>So, I develop <br />    the worlds greatest Juke Box and get it all going in Flex, then I move that <br />    into one Tab on one Screen in the AIR 'shell'.  Then some guys go off <br />    and mostly use AIR-unique code to add a Tab that allows Drag and Drop <br />    creation of Slide Shows accompanied by voice overs, and another set of my <br />    guys go off to add the 'Sudoku' module in just plain old Flex.  At some <br />    point in time in some ant task, we've got 10MB of code and X MBs of that is <br />    in one of our present [or future] swz files.  Where is the distinction <br />    that says I should just ask my users to download the whole shooting match, <br />    when what he really wants to do is just download whatever updated or new <br />    application modules [including any upgrades to your frameworks] when <br />    required.<BR><BR>So, it took some time, but today, my application is <br />    compiled with dynamic linking to the framework.swz, and when the user <br />    launches his AIR application on the desktop, the Flash Player, embedded in <br />    the AIR environment, is smart enough to find that it already has the <br />    necessary framework code and does not need to go back to the network to get <br />    it refreshed.  Actually, since I could never figure out how to use <br />    Module and ModuleManager, the method for solving the framework caching <br />    problem ended up just being an extension of what I developed for version <br />    management 'with continuous update' of my own swf files.  So, when the <br />    AIR shell starts up, it needs to test to see whether there is any updating <br />    to be done, or whether it already has locally available the 'latest and <br />    greatest' and that works the same for MyCute3DWizBang.swf or <br />    framework_3.1.0.2710.swz or framework_4.0.0.3988.swf.<BR><BR>If you take the <br />    point of view that a 'desktop application' doesn't need to do anything <br />    special to solve the problem of 'large file downloads', you end up thinking <br />    that there is no reason for an AIR application to take advantage of the <br />    frameworked cache when, in fact, almost all of that code is needed whether <br />    the execution thread starts in a 'WindowApplication' or just a plain old <br />    'Application'.  At least thats the cockamaymee point of view that I <br />    came to in the absence of any 'best practice' discussion of these key topics <br />    --  so far, it seems to be working pretty well, but as you can guess, <br />    testing across a network to a remote host that may or may not have the right <br />    version of AIR, or the right version of framework, or the right version of <br />    MyCute3DWizBang  is really more important than just testing against <br />    ADL. <BR><BR><BR>----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Chotin" &lt;<A <br />    href="mailto:[email protected]" <br />    target=_blank>[email protected]</A>&gt;<BR>To: &lt;<A <br />    href="mailto:[email protected]" <br />    target=_blank>[email protected]</A>&gt;<BR>Sent: Monday, November <br />    03, 2008 8:39 PM<BR>Subject: Re: How to Test AIR 1.5<BR><BR><BR><br />    <BLOCKQUOTE class=gmail_quote <br />    style="PADDING-LEFT: 1ex; • Correct idea to scale out testing environment and test service pack2 installation

    Hi
    I have a sharepoint 2010 farm it has one sharepoint server, one database server
    In one server  below services are running
    Central administration service
    SharePoint Server Search
    User Profile Service
    Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application
    so i want to scale out this form  to
    1 application server
    1 web front end server
    1 Search server (index server)
    1 databse server
    here how i scale out to this form
    1)here how i move  sharepoint  server search service to new  index server and
    2) here how i move  Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application to new webfront end server
    and in this single server  some web appllications are running also how i move these to new wf server
    i want to do like this  because i want to test service pack 2 installation, now  sharepoint version is : service pack1
    my actual production environment has
    2 application servers
    2 webfront end servers
    2 index servers
    1 databae server
    so this correct idea to scale out testing environment and test service pack2 installation
    adil

    Hi Adil,
    The link below describes how to scale SharePoint Web Front-End with only web applications and the search query server  out of one SharePoint server with all roles running.
    http://sharepointsolutions.com/sharepoint-help/blog/2011/02/how-to-scale-out-a-sharepoint-2010-farm-from-two-tier-to-three-tier-by-adding-a-dedicated-application-server/
    Now you have two SharePoint server with:
    Tier 1 – SharePoint Server dedicated as a Web Front-End (WFE) with only the web application(s) and the search query service running on it
    Tier 2 – SharePoint Server dedicated as an Application Server with all of the other service applications running on it, but no web applications or query service
    Tier 3 – SQL Server for the databases
    Then you would scale out WFE server with web applications from tier1. Now please install a new SharePoint server and join it to the existing farm and deploy it as Web Front Server. Enable the relevant services on Web Front servers per the topology picture
    below, and stop the services running on the old server.

  • Workbook won't open after import into test environment - Function Related

    Hi Experts,
    We have a disco report that uses a custom database function. The function has been registered and is valid in the development environment and the report works fine.
    We have exported the business area, report and relevant functions from the development environment and imported them into the test environment (Using diso admin import/export tool) in the following order:
    1. Functions
    2. Business Area
    3. Workbook
    There were no errors during the import with the exception of a failed grant which was my logon and does not exist in the target environment.
    When I attempt to open the workbook in the test environment I receive the following error message: Item dependancy"" not found in the EUL. Attempt to open workbook failed.
    At first I though that this was a folder developer key issue because I did have to change the id of a folder that this report uses however I have re-synced the ID's by ensuring the eul id's were different and I have decompiled the workbook using the d51wkdmp tool and I have confirmed that the workbook is looking at the correct items.
    I noticed that the workbook had three function references so in the development environment I deleted the fields that used the functions and re-imported the workbook, guess what it worked OK meaning that the folder ID's etc... are ok and all in sync.
    I attempted to create a new workbook in the test environment that used the imported function. When I did I got an error message saying that there was too many parameters for the function, exactly the same process works in the development environment and the calculation creates ok. I checked the function definition in discover administrator (test environment) and the function is correct, parameters present and validates OK exactly the same as the dev environment however when I try to use it discoverer plus falls over!!!!
    Any ideas/pointers, at the moment I can't see how this can be anything except a bug in the import utility as the function is OK in Development and doesnt work in Test, we have used the standard export/import tools.
    Thanks
    Keith

    Hi Rod,
    This error is occuring with functions that only have 2 or 3 parameters. My standard install processes do use the refresh option.
    I have been following this up with Oracle Support and they have managed to replicate the bug in there environment. It has something to do with optional parameters, when you change all the parameters to required it works ok however I have other functions that have optional parameters that do work ok so it is clearly not just the presence of optional parameters that is causing the problem.
    This is the first time (and probably the last) that I have tried to do disco migration using the admin import tool I have always used the command line interface to automate installs in the past, as I havn't run into this before I would imagine the bug is not present in the command line tool.
    I will post an update when I hear back from Oracle Development on a fix.

  • Issue with External Form Repost in Testing Environment

    Please help!
    We are attempting to add an Eloqua repost to our webform on https://www.2checkout.com/signup. We are a payment processor and therefore, our customer admin area, of which this page is a part, must maintain various compliance standards. With this in mind, we are testing the repost in our test environment, which sits on https://va.test.2checkout.com. I've double-checked and our eloqua tracking scripts are picking up these pages.
    When we run the repost, the line of code to get the GUID -
    elqQ.push(['elqGetCustomerGUID']);
    is erroring. I've attached a screenshot.
    For reference, we're using the code illustrated in Thomas Reyto's Topliner's post: http://topliners.eloqua.com/community/do_it/blog/2012/04/17/how-to-repost-an-externally-hosted-form-to-eloqua.
    Any assistance in determining the issue would be most appreciated! As mentioned, we really want to get this working in the test environment before we push it live, as it could break our sign up process otherwise.
    Thank you Topliners!

    Jennifer Comisford the JavaScript snippet to include elqcfg.min.js on your page?  The waituntilCustomerGuidIsRetrieved function is defined in the elqcfg.min.js tracking script.  From the error it looks like your page has not loaded the file correctly.
    <script type="text/javascript">
        var _elqQ = _elqQ || [];
        _elqQ.push(['elqSetSiteId', '#########']);
        _elqQ.push(['elqTrackPageView']);
        (function () {
            function async_load() {
                var s = document.createElement('script'); s.type = 'text/javascript'; s.async = true;
                s.src = '//img.en25.com/i/elqCfg.min.js';
                var x = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; x.parentNode.insertBefore(s, x);
            if (window.addEventListener) window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', async_load, false);
            else if (window.attachEvent) window.attachEvent('onload', async_load);

  • How to test the migrated workflows in SharePoint 2013

    Hi, we are migrated the portal from SharePoint (Moss) 2007 to SharePoint 2013 using Doc Ave tool.
    Now my concern is how to test all (OOTB and SharePoint Designer) workflows are working properly in SharePoint 2013.
    How to approach? Any ideas/help will be appreciated.

    Hi Ashok,
    Have the business users that use them or the folks that created them test them in the DEV environment prior to the PRD migration...

  • How to test domain controller on upgraded Win Server 2008 R2

    The windows team recently upgraded the development environment for the domain controller from 2003 to Windows 2008 R2 and I am to test the Idm functionality on this upgraded version. Our current configuration is that the DC and Idm gateway runs on different machines. To test this new DC, i want to install the idm gateway on that server and run some onboarding and termination test cases just to make sure if the AD connection is working on the upgraded DC. But i am getting ’Input/output error’ when i try to install the service and from the documentation it says 'The most common cause of this is that you do not have rights to work with this service.'. The server admin tried installing the gateway with his id as well and it failed. He tested installing in on the 2003 version of DC and it worked, so its not a matter of permission (i think..)...
    Does anyone have any better idea on how to test an upgrade of a DC from version 2003 to 2008 R2? Any help in this matter is appreciated. We are running Idm 8.1 on a Windows platform and an upgrade to OW 8.1.1. Patch 2 is also in the works..
    Thanks in advance.

    I may have found a workaround. Can you try to change the "compatibility mode" in 2008 R2 to "Windows XP SP3" and see if it will install?
    Admittedly I have not done this myself so I'm not entirely sure where or how it's done, but I have confirmation it resolves the issue from others who have faced it.

  • Best practice for the test environment  &  DBA plan Activities    Documents

    Dears,,
    In our company, we made sizing for hardware.
    we have Three environments ( Test/Development , Training , Production ).
    But, the test environment servers less than Production environment servers.
    My question is:
    How to make the best practice for the test environment?
    ( Is there any recommendations from Oracle related to this , any PDF files help me ............ )
    Also please , Can I have a detail document regarding the DBA plan activities?
    I appreciate your help and advise
    Thanks

    Follow your build document for the same steps you used to build production.
    You should know where all your code is. You can use the deployment manager to export your configurations. Export customized files from MDS. Just follow the process again, and you will have a clean instance not containing production data.
    It only takes a lot of time if your client is lacking documentation or if you re not familiar with all the parts of the environment. What's 2-3 hours compared to all the issues you will run into if you copy databases or import/export schemas?

  • Best Practice - Hardware requirements for exchange test environment

    Hi Experts,
    I'm new to exchange and I want to have a test environment for learning, testing ,batches and updates.
    In our environment we have co-existence 2010 and 2013 and I need to have a close scenario on my test environment.
    I was thinking of having an isolated (not domain joined) high end workstation laptop with (quad core i7, 32GB RAM, 1T SSD) to implement the environment on it, but the management refused and replied "do it on one of the free servers within the live production
    environment at the Data Center"... !
    I'm afraid of doing so not to corrupt the production environment with any mistake by my configuration "I'm not that exchange expert who could revert back if something wrong happened".
    Is there a documented Microsoft recommendation on how to do it and where to do so to be able to send it to them ??
    OR/ Could someone help with the best practice on where to have my test environment and how to set it up??
    Many Thanks
    Mohamed Ibrahim

    I think this may be useful:
    It's their official test lab set up guide.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/15392.test-lab-guide-install-exchange-server-2013.aspx
    Also, your spec should be fine as long as you run the VMs within their means.

  • How to test a plug_in without Adobe Reader Integration Key?

    I havge a project to create a plug_in for acrobat reader with Adobe Acrobat 8.1 SDK. I also apply for the Adobe Reader Integration Key, but I have not it by now. But deadline of the project is coming, is there any one who can tell me how to test the plug_in without Adobe Reader Integration Key?
    I also have another question, does the plug_in I make with Adobe Acrobat 8.1 SDK can be compatible for all the version of Acrobat reader, such as 7.0, 8.0 and so on? Thank you.

    You test the plug-in, as well you can, using Acrobat. You also build
    it using the preprocessor options to build a Reader plug-in, so you
    don't accidentally use an API not in Reader.
    If you are saying, is there w way around the Integration key for
    testing in Reader, the answer is no.
    Different Reader keys and tools are needed for each version of Reader.
    You will probably not get a key for an old version of Reader.

  • ABAP Mapping - How to test it

    Hi,
    I'm trying to test the SAP example found  in document "How to use Abap-Mapping in XI 3.0". This one is:
    class interface = Z_TEST_ABAP_MAPPING
    method = IF_MAPPING~EXECUTE
    But I cannot test it.
    1. In IR, when I uses the "Test" option inside my Interface Mapping, I have the following error message:
    "Unable to tes. You cannot execute program Z_TEST_ABAP_MAPPING in the test environnement".
    2. and when I uses transaction SXI_MAPPING_TEST, I have first this message: <i><SUCCESS>Services Processed Without Error</SUCCESS></i> But in the Trace folder, there is that:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>
    - <Top>
      <First>BeginTrace</First>
      <Trace level="1" type="B">CL_MAPPING_XMS_PLSRV3-ENTER_PLSRV</Trace>
      <Trace level="2" type="T">......attachment XI_Context not found</Trace>
      <Trace level="1" type="T">No mapping configured</Trace>
      <Trace level="1" type="E">CL_MAPPING_XMS_PLSRV3-ENTER_PLSRV</Trace>
      </Top>
    Anybody can help me?
    Regards.
    Mickael.

    Hello,
    Have you create a scenario in Integration Directory ?
    Check in the Directory if in your interface determination you put correct information.
    The sender service : SENDER
    The sender interface : BookingOrders corresponding interface.
    The sender namespace : http://sap.com/test/ABAPMapping
    The receiver service : RECEIVER
    Under Configured Inbound Interfaces, you can find :
    The Inbound interface : MsgOut corresponding interface.
    Interface mapping : BookingOrders2MsgOut that use your ABAP Mapping.
    I am not sure the Receiver determination is necessary.
    Then if it's OK, check that you put exactly the same information in transaction SXI_MAPPING_TEST :
    Sender Service : SENDER
    Sender Interface Namespace : http://sap.com/test/ABAPMapping
    Sender Interface Name : BookingOrders corresponding interface.
    Receiver Service : RECEIVER
    Receiver Interface Namespace : namespace where you define your MsgOut Interface.
    Receiver Interface Name : MsgOut corresponding interface.
    Regards,
    Chris
