How to test delta thoroughly before move to prd

Hi,
What are the stategies that you have implemented to test the delta for the standard SAP LO loading? where should the testing be done before moving to production?
Thanks

If you wish to test only the delta feature then, post documents in the source system and extract deltas. Keep changing the fields in the document and test how the delta gets captured by checking the delta queue and also the delta loads in BW side.

  • How to test if a QT movie is Self-contained?

I have had difficulties in DVD SP because some movies produced in FCE were (inadvertently) created with the box "Make Movie Self-contained" unchecked. I had lost some of my files on my Scratch Disc (render files I think) on which the movies depended and so they would not open and DVD SP itself refused to launch. I recovered from that by devious methods.
However, I now want to confirm or otherwise that each of my movie files is Self-contained, and if not, to re-create them in FCE (if I still have the Capture Scratch for their FCE projects). How can I confirm that please?
    Two possible tests:
    1. Open the movie and do Window -> Show Movie Properties. Select "Video Track" and the "Resources" tab. If the only resource listed is the movie itself, that means the movie is Self-Contained (because it is not listed as relying on any part of FCE's Scratch Disc);
    2. Close the movie. Dismount my (external) FCE Scratch Disc and try to reopen the movie. If it opens, it is Self-Contained (again, because it cannot possibly be reliant on FCE's Scratch Disc).
Is each of these tests definitive and reliable?
    Thanks.

If your render files are definitely on the external drive only, then method 2 is reliable. Depending on the file method 1 may not be. QuickTime still treats it as a complete movie file.

If you are talking about an app that you developed then you need to go to a developers forum. This is for itunes users issues.

  • How do i recover my purchased movies on itunes. the icloud does not show them and i have contacted apple twice before about this issue

how do i recover my purchased movies on itunes. the icloud does not show them and i have contacted apple twice before about this issue

Not all movies qualify for download on demand from iTunes in the Cloud, the rights may be reserved by the content provider and can vary by region. What response have you had from iTunes Store support?
If you have still have the computer they were on it might be possible to extract the hard drive, mount it in an external drive bay and recover the content from it.

    Hi,
Just try to connect in a loop, and break out of it if connect succeeds.

  • How to Test AIR 1.5

Sorry if this seems slightly off center, but I blame Adobe, not myself. Trying to determine the true status and positioning of AIR amongst the various Flex forums and projects for an outsider is practically impossible. So, I will be brief. In September Mr. Chambers sent opened the flow by telling us that we could find FP10 integrated with Flex SDK in something you call 1.5 or Cosmo, or both. He was properly circumspect, so I didn't rush into it -- there was not even an ADL binary when I checked. Now it is November, the Trunk is at 4005, and ostensibly, everything we need to start trying to take advantage of FP support of 3D operations is out there. But where? Where do we get a version of AIR 1.5 that can be installed on a target desktop, so that we can try to run the ADT test cycle?
Call it Gumbo, call it Flex4, call it whatever, but can someone tell us how to start testing it for AIR application deployment?
    Thank you.

My user <br />    cares.<BR><BR>My user will get frequent updates to an ever-growing body of <br />    software called an application, and he will get them over those same slow <br />    bandwidth network links that the Flex user sees.  What's "good for the <br />    goose is good for the gander".  There is simply no reason not to <br />    architect the library of code that we use to cobble together the application <br />    and use the same intelligent caching mechanism in both environments.  I <br />    looked for a month for a white paper or discussion of how to 'modularize' an <br />    AIR app but all that you wanted to publish were white papers on how to <br />    'modularize' a Flex app.<BR><BR>I'm sure that you guys have a bunch of <br />    object diagrams and product architecture blueprints that you have memorized <br />    -- but that is not what we see 'outside the black box'.  What we see is <br />    a confusing distinction between the AIR efforts and the Flex efforts <br />    although the code base and efforts are substantially the same.  And if <br />    that is true from an internals point of view, put on your end-user hat and <br />    look at how we view a AIR/Flex app -- it is all one.<BR><BR>So, I develop <br />    the worlds greatest Juke Box and get it all going in Flex, then I move that <br />    into one Tab on one Screen in the AIR 'shell'.  Then some guys go off <br />    and mostly use AIR-unique code to add a Tab that allows Drag and Drop <br />    creation of Slide Shows accompanied by voice overs, and another set of my <br />    guys go off to add the 'Sudoku' module in just plain old Flex.  At some <br />    point in time in some ant task, we've got 10MB of code and X MBs of that is <br />    in one of our present [or future] swz files.  Where is the distinction <br />    that says I should just ask my users to download the whole shooting match, <br />    when what he really wants to do is just download whatever updated or new <br />    application modules [including any upgrades to your frameworks] when <br />    required.<BR><BR>So, it took some time, but today, my application is <br />    compiled with dynamic linking to the framework.swz, and when the user <br />    launches his AIR application on the desktop, the Flash Player, embedded in <br />    the AIR environment, is smart enough to find that it already has the <br />    necessary framework code and does not need to go back to the network to get <br />    it refreshed.  Actually, since I could never figure out how to use <br />    Module and ModuleManager, the method for solving the framework caching <br />    problem ended up just being an extension of what I developed for version <br />    management 'with continuous update' of my own swf files.  So, when the <br />    AIR shell starts up, it needs to test to see whether there is any updating <br />    to be done, or whether it already has locally available the 'latest and <br />    greatest' and that works the same for MyCute3DWizBang.swf or <br />    framework_3.1.0.2710.swz or framework_4.0.0.3988.swf.<BR><BR>If you take the <br />    point of view that a 'desktop application' doesn't need to do anything <br />    special to solve the problem of 'large file downloads', you end up thinking <br />    that there is no reason for an AIR application to take advantage of the <br />    frameworked cache when, in fact, almost all of that code is needed whether <br />    the execution thread starts in a 'WindowApplication' or just a plain old <br />    'Application'.  At least thats the cockamaymee point of view that I <br />    came to in the absence of any 'best practice' discussion of these key topics <br />    --  so far, it seems to be working pretty well, but as you can guess, <br />    testing across a network to a remote host that may or may not have the right <br />    version of AIR, or the right version of framework, or the right version of <br />    MyCute3DWizBang  is really more important than just testing against <br />    ADL. <BR><BR><BR>----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Chotin" &lt;<A <br />    href="mailto:[email protected]" <br />    target=_blank>[email protected]</A>&gt;<BR>To: &lt;<A <br />    href="mailto:[email protected]" <br />    target=_blank>[email protected]</A>&gt;<BR>Sent: Monday, November <br />    03, 2008 8:39 PM<BR>Subject: Re: How to Test AIR 1.5<BR><BR><BR><br />    <BLOCKQUOTE class=gmail_quote <br />    style="PADDING-LEFT: 1ex; For Creating Views,
You can also find the step by step procedure of this in chapter 11 in Fu Fu Book.
    1. Create a view (Zname) in transaction SE11.
    2. In the next popup window, select Database view.
    3. Provide the short test and include the tables for the view.
    4. Ideally, you should include all the key fields in the join conditions. Either you enter the joining conditions manually or, select all the tables on the left and click on the "Relationships". This will include all the joining conditions for the tables.
    5. Select the fields that you want to view from the tables included.
    6. In the selection conditions tab, include any conditions you want to put.
    7. Activate the View.

    Direct delta:
transactional data or application posting will be directly available in the delta queue table with out any intermediate tables. then that data will be extracted from r/3 to bw.
Each document posting is directly transferred into the BW delta queue
u2022 each document posting with delta extraction leads to exactly one LUW in the respective BW delta queues
    Transaction postings lead to:
    1. Records in transaction tables and in update tables
    2. A periodically scheduled job transfers these postings into the BW delta queue
    3. This BW Delta queue is read when a delta load is executed.
    Pros:
u2022 Extraction is independent of V2 update
u2022 Less monitoring overhead of update data or extraction queue
    Cons:
u2022 Not suitable for environments with high number of document changes
u2022 Setup and delta initialization have to be executed successfully before document postings are resumed
u2022 V1 is more heavily burdened
    Queued delta:
first the data posting will available in the extraction queue table. then there periodic job run take that data to queued delta table.
u2022 Extraction data is collected for the affected application in an extraction queue
u2022 Collective run as usual for transferring data into the BW delta queue
    Transaction postings lead to:
    1. Records in transaction tables and in extraction queue
    2. A periodically scheduled job transfers these postings into the BW delta queue
    3. This BW Delta queue is read when a delta load is executed.
    Pros:
u2022 Extraction is independent of V2 update
u2022 Suitable for environments with high number of document changes
u2022 Writing to extraction queue is within V1-update: this ensures correct serialization
u2022 Downtime is reduced to running the setup
    Cons:
u2022 V1 is more heavily burdened compared to V3
u2022 Administrative overhead of extraction queue
    hope it is help you.......

Really? I need to check that out!
You should certainly be able to add content by reference to itunes from such a disk (even before the update) - so long as itunes knows the location of the file (set Preferences not to copy to local library when adding the media) it will stream it to AppleTV if the disk is available.
I hope you're right, but I'd be surprised if current Extremes can be upgarded to provide a full Home Sharing service - marvellous if they can but I'd be surprised as i've long said we need an Apple media server either based on TC or AE to do this kind of thing.

  • How do i delte more than one image at a time from all images folder on iMac

i have 7000 images in the my images folder, how can I delte them all at once?

Click on one folder (if they are nested together in parent folder) and use Select All from Edit menu; then use Move To Trash from File menu. Then use Empty Trash from Finder menu. Same with single images if all of them are in one folder.
Sometimes a folder may be where an application expects to put them, so if that's the case, be sure to leave an empty folder if its part of a system or application. There are times when ownership privilege or user permissions may be lacking, so you may not be able to move or trash them.
Hopefully its not more complicated than this.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • How to use Time Machine before and after installing a new hard drive

So basically I'm buying a new hard drive for my Macbook pro and I have a lot of files on my computer that I would like to save. I have never used Time Machine before so I need help on how to set it up before AND after installing the harddrive so my files get transferred onto the new hard drive. Thanks in advance

    wjosten wrote:
Me, I would never use Time Machine to do this. What I'd suggest you do is get an exterior enclosure for your new drive. Then use either Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to clone your existing drive to your new drive. Once done, verify your clone is bootable & all of your data present. Then swap drives & use your old drive for Time Machine backups(after erasing it). Then get another drive & exterior enclosure to regularly clone your new drive to.
Unless he was swapping for a lower capacity HDD or to a lower capacity SSD, then the old drive would make a lousy Time Machine disk.  However, whenever I swap out a disk I do exactly what you do.  CCC to get the ol drive onto a new one.  Test by starting up to the new (but still external drive).  Then replace the internal drive.
I usually just sell the old drive on eBay.  My Time Machine backup is always 2X the size of the internal drive, which I believe is a bit above recommendations, but works for me.  The price of large external drives is almost the same as smaller internal ones.

  • How to test php when creating in DW CS4

I am a bit confused. Here is my set up:
I have DW CS4 on my laptop and I am developing a site for a
client. I have a local copy and I have set up a remote folder using
FTP and utilize this mainly to put my pages on the server.
I do have dynamic content, primarily PHP and up until
yesterday I was able to view these pages using "Preview in Browser"
or Live View. (On a side note, I do not remember how I set this up
before). Well, today I installed IE 8 to start testing on that and
now all of a sudden I cannot use Live View or Preview In Browser
feature anymore. It keeps asking me to set up a testing server and
if I choose not to, all I get is the source code displaying.
I have no problem setting up PHP on my Laptop, but never had
to do this before. Any insight as to what might have happened?

  • How to Test Mail's Trainable Filter?

In the Apple Support Discussions topic No Junk mailbox in Training mode? a question arose regarding how to test if the trainable filter (the filter that evaluates the "Message is Junk Mail" condition) is evaluated independently of the other conditional tests of the Junk Filter rule -- IOW, if some other test condition in the Junk Filter rule, like sender is not in the address book, evaluates to false, does the "Message is Junk Mail" test which follows it in the rule's list of conditions ever get evaluated?
A proposed test for this involved resending to yourself a message that Mail had previously marked as junk using the "Message > Send Again" function of Mail. It has been pointed out to me that this probably isn't a valid test because "Message > Send Again" doesn't send the original message in unaltered form (there are substantial changes in the header info regarding sender, path, etc.) & thus the filter may not consider the resent message as junk, even if it were to evaluate it.
So, for testing purposes, does anybody have a suggestion about how to resend (or fake resending) a received message to myself without altering its header info?

What matters is whether the Message is Junk
Mail condition would still evaluate to true
    regardless.
That depends on what you are trying to determine & if the test produces decisive results.
For instance, consider tests with the standard Junk Filter automatic settings & no other rule involving "Message is Junk Mail" in the list. A test is performed in an attempt to determine if the filter's conditional tests are performed in the indicated order only until one evaluates to false.
"Send Again" should not cause the "Message is Junk Mail" test to be evaluated at all, since in this case the sender is oneself & the Junk Filter should exit as soon as the 'sender not in Address Book' test is evaluated.
Yet, when I try this with a message (correctly) marked as junk when originally received, the resent version is still marked as junk, & this happens not just on my on Mac but on the few others I have checked as well. I have tested with only a limited number of junk messages because on the other Macs the owners do not keep them for long & on my own I do not get that many (AOL is my primary account & has excellent spam filtering), so I would love to know if readers of this topic see similar results.
BTW, I should mention here what might be a potential hazard of using "Redirect" for testing with "real" spam: As I hope everybody knows by now, it is a bad idea to enable automatic loading of remote html images because doing so can alert spammers one's email address is valid. In one case, when I tried the "Redirect" method on my own Mac, AOL refused to accept the redirected message, possibly because of AOL's spam filters. At that point, Mail displayed the message, asking if I wanted to try sending it from another account, edit it, or what. Even though I have the option disabled, Mail loaded the original's remote html images along with its other content. I don't know if that is a design feature of Mail, a problem with just my Mac, particular to AOL, or what, but I want readers to be aware of it, just in case.
Anyway, for this reason I have since confined myself to testing with "Send Again," which seems safe in all cases, & mostly to testing only on my on Mac, just in case it is not.
Back to the "so what" aspects of this topic: It may be that the "Message is Junk Mail" test is sometimes treated differently from the other conditional tests in the Junk Filter in that it may be evaluated first or even if other tests before it evaluate to false. This makes some sense as a design feature in that even if the Junk Filter's automatic mode action isn't performed, it gives users more training opportunities. It may be a bug. It may just be something particular to my Mac. It may be something else, perhaps having to do with trusting junk headers, or something more subtle as yet unconsidered.
In any event, the point is holding all variables save one constant in any single "black box" test of a multi-variable system is a necessity for definitive results because variables may be interdependent. Because of this, the ability to resend to oneself the same message in unaltered form would be useful for a variety of tests, so I would still like to know if anyone has any ideas about how to do this.

  • How to test a webservice scenario...

    Hi,
In SAP PI, I need to test a scenario that involves webservice. I can see in Integration directory
that a communication channel has been defined as sender with adapter type as File. So I assume that a file is being picked up
    from the FTP server.
Also There is another comm channel of type receiver, adapter type as SOAP with a target URL.
Now I dont know how to test this ? Any pointers how to check
from where this request to webservice is initiated ? I have not worked
on web service scenario before, so need help to understand to test the end to end.
    thanks

    HI
Your's is a file to  SOAP scenario, to test this follow this steps:
Now I dont know how to test this ? Any pointers how to check
from where this request to webservice is initiated ?
    1. Do you have test data? any file that is archived in sender FTP under archive directory. If not then go to your
mapping progrram->test tab-> fill test data (all mandatory fields)->switch to xml tab- Copy the whole content
->save it in a text pad->see the file name maitained in the sender file adapter->rename the file and place in
the location mentioned in the sender FTP.
    2. Check  in RWB if the channels is active and you can see the  file being picked in the log ,you can see SXMB MONI
also if there is checkerd flag.
    3. To see if the soap posing has happened or not you can see the soap channel monitoring in RWB  and read the log
or you can confirm the posting with the  team which received the data( portal /Webservice).

  • How to test the PCI/PXI 4461

when i receive a new card, how to test it?
when i click the "self-test" in the Measurement & Automation Explorer,it shows that "the device has passed the self-test."
is that means the card is ok?
or i should make other test to confirm?what test should i do?

You can also use the test panels in MAX to test each channel of input or output after they are terminated. This is a good verification that your signal conditioning, wiring, etc is working as expected before getting LV involved.
