I generally agree with Mylene here, however this is also a special case.
If you read SAP note 888889 then you will see that it is an intentional "heads-up" from SAP to take a look into the related notes, and (as was before) not the case that you have to find the problem first to need to fix the program error in your system.
The related notes of 888889 are to my knowledge designed in such a way that you can install them using SNOTE without any manual corrections required, and they fix only undesirable SAP standard system behaviour without any reasonable chance of customer specific use of it being impacted.
Basically, it blocks a known (and published) security error.

This is true. It would go on forever... Just dumping note numbers into the forum is not the intention of them.
I think the thread can be closed and more specific questions about the content of individual notes or risk rating of them etc can be asked, if required. Generally, if you look at the correction blocks you can anyway work out what's going on and would probably want to implement them as a result.

Hi Sampath,
First install QTP and SAP Addin with in QTP.
2nd use QC to develop the test plan and then convert that test plan design to Test Scripts (QTP vesrion using settings)
3rd record the R/3 GUI screen of SAP for SD, MM like Create order or Create PR.
Once recording is done QTP will create a script in VB
SAPGuiSession("Session").SAPGuiWindow("SAP Easy Access - User").SAPGuiOKCode("OKCode").Set "/nVA01"
SAPGuiSession("Session").SAPGuiWindow("SAP Easy Access - User").SendKey ENTER
you can always add a parameter and other customization according to your requirement.

Go to www.service.sap.com and in SAP support portal click on SAP Notes search. enter your username and password. then you can search for SAP Note.
You would require user id and password to access SAP support /market place.
If you are already in the project, check with the IT manager of the client to provide one
SAP Notes help you how to remove known errors from SAP Systems. They include a description of the symptoms, the cause of the error, and the SAP Release and Support Package level in which the error occurs.

How to Test two UUT not at the same time??

My test station need to test two UUT not at the same time ,Two UUT means two serial Number need to scan, and then test each UUT after scan action . The two UUT are the same PCBA,all the test items are the same. So the sequence file is same. But how to realize it in TestStand ? Can you give me a simple example for that ? Thanks so much !

Have a look at the process model options of TestStand. For your task I would use the batch model. If I remember correctly there are also some examples delivered with Teststand. Search for MultiUUT and Processmodell in the examples directory of your Teststand installation.

1. Releases: A note can be modified in case more changes can be included. In that case, a new 'release' of the note will be created. In snote, you can also find the function 'downlaod the latest version'. This means snote will check the current release in OSS can download it.
2. Reference support pacakge: This is the support pcakge where the change in this OSS note is included. Any SP level equal or higher than that will make the note 'can not be implemented';
3. Correction Instructions: One note can have one or multiple correction instruction. Usualy they're for different releases (620, 640, 700 etc.). But sometimes the CIs are for the same release and they will be implemented into the system sequentially when the note is being implemented.
Normally, when you try to implement a note in SNOTE, go to the note browser, the note then has the 'implementation status'. ' can be implemented' means the note have the valid support pcakge level. 'cannot be implmented' means the note is already included the the support packages. "Not relevant' means the note changes a component which doesn't exist in the system.

So, you want the features of ECC6 in 4.6c? That's quite interesting! You have not however mentioned few sample features. Perhaps you should talk to SAP for this.

As you told that in the standard webcomponent is HRRCF_C_SEARCH_UI.
There is a view named VW_REG_SRCH...
In this view, there is a ViewContainerUIElement named VC_SRCH_CRITERIA.
You are not able to find the layout inside this ViewContainerUIElement.
For your information the ViewContainerUIElement is used to embed a view , so within this you will not able to view the layout.
When You look in the Tab WINDOWS,you see that for VC_SRCH_CRITERIA, there is
an embed view(or view use) named VW_SRCH_CRITERIA_USAGE_3.
So to find the View - VC_SRCH_CRITERIA, you have to go to the view section within this View - VC_SRCH_CRITERIA is exists there in the component and there you can also see the layout there in the view editor

Hi Wenkat,
you need that your system admin creates an OSS user with "find notes" permissions.
After that, you'll be able to find notes entering to http://service.sap.com/notes.

How to test VOFM routine for output cntrol-issue o/p when certain conds met

Hai,
I have created a vofm routine 903 for the output type 'ZSH1'.This is for sales order output.
The 903 routine changes the sy-subrc value to non zero if certain conditions met.
My doubt is how to test this vofm routine? where can we check the status of the output processed?
This output is to trigger a smartform.
In my case the output smart form got displayed when I click on print preview even if the condtions met (or) dont met.
Is this the correct way of testing?

see the step 1.
Step1: goto->va02->from the menu select 'issue output'->select the codition type in the displayed popup->click OK.
after this where can I check the status of the output issued?
or is the way I described in Step 1 is correct or not ?
other way Step 2:
goto VA02->enter order number->goto overview page->from Extras->output->header->edit
in this page maintain the output type & click Save.
after Save , is this the time to check whether the output issued or not? if yes where to check the status?
or again is this the right way to test the VOFM.

Implemntation of sap note

can you please tell me how to implement Sap note 1579976 , as i checked on IDES ,
I am facing problem with Service procurement ,
i have created service PO , of 100 quantity , then Service entry sheet of Same 100 quantities
up to here is ok ,
,BUT when i am creating 2nd service entry sheet of 50 quantity against same previous PO system allow me to create & accept , this should not happen as i received all 100 quantity already , end user doing misuse of it

here message SE 363 (version 00) as Error message (E) ,
These settings are ok , as if i am taking 120 quantity i.e. more than quantity in PO ,in 1st SES it is showing an error message , " Quantity entered $ exceeds quantity $ in purchase order "
as i checked on IDES , Service procurement Scenario is running correct , that if i take more Quantity than Service PO , system generating error message 363 ,
So is it problem with Program ? i have sap note 1579976 , how should I proceed , please tell me how to implement this sap note , will be very helpfull for me

I think your question is answered mostly by the replies above. Here is the steps you take:
1. Go to SAP Service Market to find the correspoding note;
2. Click on the button 'download correction instructions', and the note will be saved in your download basket;
3. Open the program 'download manager', and download the .car file from the download basket to your PC (the download store);
4. Check you PC make sure it's in the download store now;
5. Start the transaction code SNOTE in R/3;
6. Use the menu 'Upload SAP Notes' ;
7. specify the location of the downlaod store and upload the note;
8. The note then should be ready for implementation.

goto SNOTE and check the list of inprocessing and new notes available and also try to download a note to check whether the systme has been connected OSS server
also go to note browser to check the status of note before downloading
