It appears that you had a bsod error, that since this you've booted into safe mode and corrected parts of the issue, but can no longer get the display adapter to install. I will try to assist you with this.
Based on everything you have done, the first place to start would be hardware. You should be able to test it and this document can help you in doing so: Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8).
Start with the above and let me know the results.

CS4 with Quadro FX 1700 512MB (Tested Video Cards?)

I only installed this card yesterday, replacing my GEForce 9800GT and last night when working with Photoshop certain things were incredibly slow, I was working with the sliders in Selective Color and there was a massive delay when I dragged a slider so much so that is was virtually unusable. So I went into Photoshops preferences and disabled the Open GL Drawing and immediately Photoshop was responsive again.
This begs the question why the performance got so bad with Open Gl turned on with a card that Adobe has tested? Could it be a driver? Could it be a setting on the Driver? I do have the latest driver from PNY, I am running the card under Vista 64, could it be the 64bit OS?
Any insight would be most welcome.

Sorry for my belated reply and thanks for offering to look into this.
Here's my full specs:
Intel DX58SO motherboard
Intel Core i7 965 Extreme (Thermalrite Ultra-120 Extreme Cooler)
Kingston DDR-3 6 GB
4 x Seagate Sata-2 1TB drives
OS: Windows Vista 64
PNY Quadro FX1700
I've tried various drivers on the video card and for only one day I was able to run Photoshop with OpenGL turned on, a day later it went all sluggish again and nothing changed in my system from the one day to the next.
I've also played with settings (application specific) on the video card driver but it does not seem to improve anything either.
Is there a way to completely and utterly remove the video drivers so I can reload them fresh? Vista always seems to hide copies of these things even though you do full uninstalls of them.

How to install video card driver?

I download a video card driver, after uncompress, i have 6 files as below:
glx.so
libGL.so.1
riva_install
libGL.so
LibGL.so.1.0
XF86_SVGA
It seems that only riva_install and XF86_SVGA is executable files, so i run them. But there are some problems cause i can not continue:
1. when i run riva_install, screen displays:
Enter path to the X server tree.
If unsure, press <Enter>.
-n Path [usr/X11R6] :
Then i press <Enter>, it displays as follow:
/My_Download/VideoCard/X-GLX-libc5-i386-dyn/riva_install: test: argument expected
At this point, what should i input?
2. When i try to run XF86_SVGA, screen displays:
XF86_SVGA: Cannot find /lib/ld-linux.so.1
3. I use netscape to view webpage. Usually when i open a new page, netscape always ask me to install cookies again and agin, i press ok, and next time, it still ask the same question, even i press ok for N times to accept install cookies.

After run kdmconfig, i have following description:
Video Device: NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 (32MB)
Screen Size: 16-inch (41cm)
Resolution/Colors: 1024x768 - 256 colors @ 85Hz
Which means the system recognize my video card, i don't need to install extra driver for that, right?
But how come i can't see picture clearly?
And whenever i open a new page, netscape often ask me to install cookies again and again?

How to install video card - G450 for solaris8

hi everbody:
when i installed solaris 8, the supported video card driver list didn't contain the G450, so i got the patch from sun website, the driver patch looks like 109401-11,is it right?
and then how can i do next?? BTW,I still fail to install solaris8 because of missing driver G450.

you can install it without the CDE,log on as root
use patchadd command to install the patch
run kdsconfig to test the the screen to see if it can work properly. Then reboot.

Most people come here to solve problem before asking MSI Tech support, because myself and many other think they are well skilled user here, but I do say there lack resource here to do any testing. There really no need to post any more info about this issue, but at this time those video card didn't work until bios 1.6. Clearly it not PSU, CPU, or RAM causing this issue, which I've already made clear in other post.
I was welcome to more feedback on any other video cards that didn't work. At the end of the day only thing we could have really do is report back to MSI about our problems.
I do think that when comes down to it, big issue that impact many user in same way, only really support is contact the manufacture. How to update video card driver?

Hi, I have a Toshiba satellite pro C660-1LR laptop and I don't know how to update the video card driver which is an "Intel® HD Graphics". I have been to the intel site and when scanning for updates I was given this message:
"A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer."
I was wondering where to go from here as the lack of update for my video card driver is preventing me from playing some games.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As lead_org says, you can't upgrade the video card in the T42 itself. But you can add a PCI video card to an attached ThinkPad Dock II. For particular applications like multiple DVI outputs, this could make sense. But if you're after faster gaming performance you're probably better off just getting a new ThinkPad with faster graphics built in.

How to test PCI card from NI?

I install PCI-6527 card in computer, I want to test the card to see it is work. I right click the DAQ board in MAX configuration and choose "test panel", the compuer show a test panel, there is no error message, does that meaning that my card is ok?
or what other things should I do to test the panel?

Try the previous answer, test the resources and click on the DIO lines. Also you may want to test your card with an example and some logic analyzer or leds. There is a very good example for manipulating the DIO ports of your board. Go to www.ni.com >> Resource Library >> Search/Upload Examples >> Type: +pci +6527 .... the first result is an example for LabVIEW and for the 652x series, you may want to try it.

How to install video card?

I have just received a *Mac nVidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600/Ti4600 128MB Video Card for G4* I ordered on eBay, and am seeking advice before installing.
No instructions or CD came with this item, so do I just remove the card that's in my MDD and install this one? Any slot preferred? Any drivers or firmware to update?
Also, I've read that a 300w power supply is recommended for use with this card, but I am unable to locate specs. for my machine. I assume its present power supply will suffice.

How to test video chat on one computer?

I can't test any transmision on one computer, I can transmit captured video to 127.0.0.1 but I can't receive it (unable to create sesion manager). Do I have to test it on 2 hosts?

u can do it in single system..
first use JMF studio to transmit and receive the video transmission,
if it doesnt work assign some ip for your system and transmit using multicast ip for example(192.168.1.255) and recieve. this have to work.
if not chk ur programe for errors in processor/player creation and intilization

How can I make sure that my Airport Card is working properly?

No, this doesn't indicate the AirPort card is dying. Clearly it can sustain the higher throughput when running under Windows.
Therefore this sounds like it comes down to an issue of configuration. Apple set default network parameters that work adequately in a wide range of network environments (e.g. from dialup through gigabit LAN networking), however, the settings are not ideal for any of them (they can't predict what kind of environment you'll be running in). Apparently Windows does a better job of either setting the defaults, or tuning the network parameters.
That's not to say that you can't get the AirPort to work the same way under Mac OS X, it's just that it needs a little tuning to get there. Unfortunately some of that tuning is distinctly 'under the hood' and can be a little daunting. If you're not confident in tweaking the system at that level, check out IPNetTuner X which does a lot of the hard work for you.

There aren't any laptops that I know of that can add another graphics card. There are a very few higher end laptops that have removable graphics cards, but for the most part on Toshiba's you can only replace it with the exact same type even if it is removable. I think you are wasting your time and money trying to upgrade the graphics on that model.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

also, as i understand the way the ati drivers work, the changes are only good for that particular session, so when you reboot, everything is reset to the default settings. that may have changed or may not apply to all the driver updates available.

After BSOD video card does not respond, VGA not work

Hi,
This is very URGENT!
Today I was working with my pc, I have connected a monitor through VGA. Suddenly screen flicker, then some pink dots appear fallowed by BSOD: Video_TDR_FAILURE.
After this, pc boots to black screen (always).
1) Went to safe mode. Works. Removed disabled video driver and windows starts but with low resolution and crappy graphics. Notice VGA stopped working, so cannot connect monitor.
2) Whenever I turn on driver / restart - again does not startup black screen.
3) I remove driver on safemode.
4) Try to install driver - in the middle of install pc suddenly restarts and nothings changed. Driver is not installed. Tried to install Windows 7, windows 8 drivers for my video card model - same thing - restart in the middle and does not work. Dxdiag shows that i have Microsoft Basic Display Driver.
ABOUT PC:
OS: windows 8.1 pro (using for more than 3 months without any video issues)
Laptop model: HP G62
Product number: WZ685EA#B1R
Video Card: AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series (also device 1 is Intel HD graphics)
I hope its not hardware. Also, how to if its harware issues, how to test video card?
