How you delete content from your iPod depends how you have it set to update:
If you are updating automatically (syncing) all songs and playlists then delete the files from the iTunes library. In the iTunes Library highlight the file and press the delete key on your keyboard. If you re updating the iPod from a selected playlist delete the song from the playlist and it will remain in the library. Next time you connect they will deleted automatically from your iPod.
If you are updating manually, connect your iPod and when it shows in the iTunes 7 source list click on the chevron (the little triangle) to the left of the iPod icon This will display the various icons for the iPod itself, Music, Movies, TV Shows and Playlists. Click on Music and you'll see the usual song list. Find the files on your iPod that you want to remove, highlight them and delete directly as above by pressing the delete key on your keyboard.
To select multiple items such as all the songs in an album, click on the first track in the list hold down the shift key and click on the last track to highlight the selection. Then press the delete key.
To summarise, you start by highlighting the song/video/selection in either the iTunes library or on the iPod song list as displayed in iTunes then press the delete key on your keyboard: Deleting songs or playlists from your iPod

You don't. There is only one picture. if you delete it from Camera Roll then it will be gone. Just as a song is in your library and that exact same song is in a playlist, a pic is in the camera roll and that exact same photo can be accessed from a album that you make.
The pic is not moved to the album, the album is simply a playlist. the pic lives in the camera roll.

I would just like to give some quick advice that you all may already know but I was just told this countless of times that I thought you all would like to know. \
I have been told by numerous of photography professors that it is always best to try to format your camera every now and then. Because your memory card is not really deleting the photos but rather hiding it somewhere. This is a problem because it still takes space from your card. The solution to this is to FORMAT because it is one of the safest ways for your camera to erase images. It also sets up properly for your camera like new. But make sure to save your images before doing formatting. I have had many silly accidents this way. Lol.

In order to remove songs from an iPod you must plug it into the computer it was originally synchronizing with and de-select the songs you no longer wish to have on the iPod. If you no longer have access to that computer then I would plug it into your current computer and restore the iPod. This will remove all the songs from the device but you will be able to just move the songs you wish to store on the device back over.

I have an external HD, a lacie 640gb triple interface, connected to my macbook pro via firewire. i have installed the OS to it as well as some data. The disk only has one partition. How can i erase everything [the operating system, applications etc] but keep some of my data in the disk? Which is the best way to do it? No, as far as I know from this site, Drive Genius is your only hope. I have never used the product or that function though. Another member here says it works.
Your other choice would be to store the data on another drive temporarily. Erase, partition and transfer back.

Note that this link will work regardless of your location. About transferring SMS to another phone, see if there's an option on your Nokia 6303 to create a backup on an SD card. If so, you can proceed with backing up your SMS. Try inserting the SD card in your other phone and check for restoring option.
