thanks you for all your help

There is no way to trace email. The header says it comes from Microsoft Live, but that's about all you can tell from it.

  • How can I get my hp eprint email address from a remote location?

I am currently away from home and need to print something for my wife.  I have tested out eprint before but never tried it from a remote location.  I cannot recall the email address for my printer.  Is there any way to retrieve this without being at the printer?  I imagine that I had to sign in to the eprintcenter website to test this so alternatively, is there a way to retrieve the email address I used to set up my eprintcenter account?  I am offered a way to retrieve the password but that doesn't help much if I cannot recall my eprintcenter account's email.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi Epoclaen,
I see that you are trying to locate your ePrint email address.  The only way this can be done would be to log into your ePrint account so it would require you to remember your ePrint log on information.  The email address that's used to create an account is usually your personal email address.  I would try using your personal email address to log into the account.  Let me know how it goes.

  • How to change trace file location in Oracle Fusion Middleware

    Hi all,
I would like to know how to change the location of the trace file in Oracle Fusion Middleware - Report Server 11g ?
I notice there is logging.xml file in $ORACLE_HOME/config/ReportServerComponenent/logging.xml. In the xml file, it did specify the location of the diagnostic file and other log files.
Is it the correct way to reconfigure the location of the log file? I havent try it though. :D
    Thanks.

    Hi Fleix,
For additional instructions for Release 11i, see Note.167635.1 and Note.150168.1.
For additional instructions for Release 11.0.3 and 10.7, see Note.148982.1 and Note.135715.1.
    a. Append the following to the end of the URL used to login to the Oracle Applications:
    ?play=&record=collect&log=/tmp/oracle.FRD.log
** Note: The self service login URL will not work for creating FRD trace files. You may need to talk to your technical team to get the URL that accesses the forms server directly.
    b. If the URL to logon to 11i applications is:
    http://machine:9603/dev60cgi/f60cgi
Then the following label needs to be included:
    ?play=&record=collect&log=/tmp/'file_name'.frd
For example to create frd for above url log in to application as
    http://machine:9603/dev60cgi/f60cgi?play=&record=collect&log=/tmp/4764802.992.frd
    c. Now log into the application and go directly to the form with the problem and perform the actions which generate the error.
Once the error has been generated and cleared, immediately log out of the application so no additional diagnostics are captured.
    d. The diagnostics will be written to the file specifed after "log=". In the example, this would be /tmp/4764802.992.frd
    e. After reproducing the issue, log on the server side of the instance and go to the directory to /tmp (cd tmp)
    f. Retrieve the frd file: /tmp/4764802.992.frd
This file contains all the details about built-in programs, triggers, procedures in a FORM
    Thanks,
    Anchorage :)

  • How to create a folder in which email forms are stored which cab be used and usen again

Hi folks of the free software comunity,
in the olden days I used to use a mail program made by MARINET in England. This received an sent emails via a sattelite connection an nothing else.
The program had a feature called pre-formed mails:
In a special folder lots of pre-written emals where stored - messages that needed to be sent again an again wit slightly changed contens. The address, reference and text fields where already filled.
If needed you would open one of these pre-written mail, change a few items - say the date, number of item or some such
Adress an reference would remain the same.
The SENT the bugger an finished.
In the SENT folder this mail would be shown with the corrected text.
In the special folder the not corrected mail would remain.
The special folder served as a file of mails already written as well as a remainder of what needed to be sent - by looking at the stored mails - an so save the user a lot of work.
    My question:
How can this be created in THUNDERBIRD ?
    tks n bregards
    i.b.b
[email protected] (pls copy an answer to this mail address

    Open a new Write message.
Create the email you want to use as a Template, give the 'Subject' a suitable title so you can easily locate that template email, but do not enter any email addresses.
Then click on 'Save' as 'Template' OR File > Save As > Template.
A Templates folder will be auto created and th email will be stored in that Templates folder.
    To use:
Select Templates folder to see emails.
Double click on email OR right click on email and select 'Edit as new Messge' to open in a new Write window.
Edit as required and send as usual.
The email in the Templates folder will remain as is and can be reused again and again.
    Additional info:
If you wish to send one personalised email to a group, so each person gets their own personalised email, you could consider an addon called 'Mail Merge' which works with Template email and either a .csv file or an address book.

  • How to trace particular path in portal

    Hello,
I would like to know how to trace a particular path in sap portal for instance I would like to see the portal activity report and i suppose it gets saved at location - com.sap.portal.activityreport.frontend ...so how do i find this path in the portal?
Search seems to be a little difficult for me at times when iam unsure of  what object am looking at( i.e. whether it is a an iview, workset, role etc )
So also I would like to know when we customize a particular theme it gets stored in the portal_content/themes folder.
However the theme is visible only when we go to portal display-under desktop and display rules-portal content-themes.
Why is it not directly visible in the pcd?

    Hey Anja,
I think you almost got my question... i  did intend to ask  something similar but it does  bear strong  relevance to the question i intended to ask...I wud b obliged if u  could elaborate a little more.
I am new to EP so  also could you just tell me dat when a certain object for instance say  when i download  the portal activity report  a certain file viz;  "com.sap.portal.activityreport.frontend"   got saved.
Now from what i have understood is that com.sap.portal.activityreport.frontend  represents the  path to  frontend  which probably could be any object .
Could you just confirm that is my understanding of how portal works correct  or clouded.
I have seen com.sap.portal being used as a prefix for many objects.
So is this some sort  of a path or just a norm to be followed for certain objects.
Could you just provide me with certain links for better understanding.
Thanks for your precious time and kindly bear with my ignorance as I am raw in EP.
    Regards
    Pooja

  • Please tell me how to easily scan a document to email on my Canon mg5420 all-in-one printer

Please tell me how to easily scan a document to email on my Canon mg5420 all-in-one printer; the directions are hard to understand.

    Hi figgienewton,
To scan an item to be attached to an email, please follow these steps:
    1. Open the IJ SCAN UTILITY program.
    2. In the Canon IJ Scan Utility window that opens, click SETTINGS.... in the bottom right of the window. The Settings dialog box appears.
    3. Click the DOCUMENT SCAN or PHOTO SCAN option on the left pane of the window, depending on what you would like to scan.
    4. In the right pane of the window, locate the APPLICATION SETTINGS section, then click on the radio button next to the ATTACH TO EMAIL option.
    5. In the drop-down arrow next to the ATTACH TO EMAIL field, select your email application. If your email program is not listed, please click the ADD... button to navigate to the location of your email program, then click OK to have that email
program added to the drop-down field.
    6. Once your email program has been specified in the APPLICATION SETTINGS section, click the OK button at the bottom of the window to save the changes. The IJ Scan Utility main screen appears.
    7. Click the DOCUMENT or PHOTO button, depending on what you are trying to scan and attach to email. Scanning starts. When the items are finished scanning, your email program will be launched and the scanned item(s) will be attached.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to import non-IMAP Windows 8 emails into Thunderbird

I've upgraded my daughter's tablet from the awful "resident" Windows 8 mail program to Thunderbird and would like to import her old .eml email files into her TB inbox.
I've seen threads instructing how to do this if the old emails are stored on an IMAP account (gmail, yahoo, etc.). But we don't have an IMAP account. Just the .eml files from our POP3 provider in the weird locations where Windows 8 put them (long path names with numbers).
If anyone knows how to make Thunderbird import these, please respond. Thank you.

There is an add-on to TB which allows import and export of emails in various formats to a separate storage medium (external disk, thumb drive, etc.).
The instructions on how to download and install it can be found at http://barryduggan.info/exportMail.php
You should be able to import the .eml with that.

  • Dataloss in network... How to trace it..?

    Hi,
Though this question is related to SAP XI and SMICM trace, I feel this question can also be answered by people in WebAs General, so i am posting this in this forum.
In my current scenario where SAP XI system pushes data to another system(ABC system) using HTTPS connection. I have set up an RFC destination of Type G to connect to the external system.
When i do a Test connection, i see in SMICM log file, i found that connection established, request message written into ABC system. When response is being written i could find BINDUMP of content denied in the SMICM log file. What does that exactly mean..?
Also When i contacted the other party--ABC, they have told that they could not see any messages in their system.
XI shows successfully processed and ABC system did not receive the message... So where did the data go?? I have no clue :-(( Need your inputs in this regard. How to trace if the message has been successfully posted by XI. Below is the SMICM log file.

  • Left my phone in the movie theatre..what do I do? how do i contact location services?

I just left my phone in the movies...and now they are closed!  how do I contact location services to make sure it is still there?

If you were running iOS 5 or higher, had enabled iCloud and Find My iPhone before losing it, you can go to icloud.com on your computer and try to locate it as outlined here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0f2442.  If it's turned on, still has Find My iPhone enabled, and has a connection to the internet, it should appear on the map.
If you didn't enable Find My iPhone before losing it you won't be able to locate it.

  • How do I use p3scan to scan email (Thunderbird) using Clamav? [/b]

How do I use p3scan to scan email (Thunderbird) using Clamav? I followed this http://p3scan.sourceforge.net/readme.html
I searched for hours in Google and in forums looking for a way to get Clamav to scan email using p3Scan?
I have three  questions (one question is in two parts) about setting up p3scan to use Clamav to scan for Viruses in incoming & outgoing email:
I now have three questions.  One is in two parts:
    Question 1)
Within the "/etc/p3scan/p3scan.conf" file there is a line that reads "# username: laitcg#pop.gmail.com:110 host: <url of p3scan machine> port: 8110".
My question is:how does a person find the url of the p3scan machine?
    Question 2)
Within the read me file that you sent me (http://p3scan.sourceforge.net/readme.html)
    there appears the following:
    P3SCAN_USER=mail (clamav, etc...)
    iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p tcp -i eth0 --dport pop3 -j REDIRECT --to 8110
    iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p tcp -i eth0 --dport smtp -j REDIRECT --to 8110
    iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -p tcp -i eth0 --dport pop3s -j REDIRECT --to 8110
    iptables -t nat -I OUTPUT -p tcp --dport pop3 -m owner --uid-owner $P3SCAN_USER -j ACCEPT
    iptables -t nat -I OUTPUT -p tcp --dport pop3 -j REDIRECT --to 8110
My question as it pertains to the above is: Who is the owner and who is the P3SCAN_user?
    Question 3)
Within the "/etc/p3scan/p3scan.conf" file there is a paragraph that reads:
    "Clam Anti-Virus: http://www.clamav.net
    # This program must run as the same user as p3scan is running so that
    # it can access the mail files for scanning. Either compile with the
    # options --with-user=mail --with-group=mail (if p3scan is using the
    # the default user/group of "mail") or change "User" in clamav.conf
    # to the user p3scan is running as. If you get a return code other
    # than a 0 or 1, see the clamav documentation for the reason.
My question as it pertains to the above is: I installed Clamav years ago, so how do I make it run as user mail?
I would hope that no “Linux Guru” will post something to the effect of “the bash is the answer. Figure it out.” I learned and accomplished a great deal in Linux relative to the fact that I am a laymen whose college education did not encompass networking and computer science. I am asking for help because I cannot help myself.
    Thanks in advance to everyone.
If someone could please, please answer the three questions that I've asked above, I would be most grateful.

    Still not solved
I decided to go with the  host: <url of p3scan machine> vs iptables. It seemed easier at the time.
The problem is that everything is written as a bunch of options with no clear direction indicated, unless one has a computer science degree or a strong IT background, and I am lacking in both.
The bottom line is that more I look at p3scan, the more confused and lost I become. Is there an alternative to p3scan that actually has GOOD documentation? I looked at Claws but thanks to the new pacman, 50% of all packages fail checksum test, something for another post.
Can someone walk me through this? If someone would walk me through this, I'd be more than happy to turn it into a step-by-step outline designed for the average user because this is just ludicrous. It has been my experience that good documentation open the door to so much more as it pertains to advancing one's undrstanding and enjoyment of Linux. I know that this p3scan setup would be well within the ability of the average "Arch Linux" if it were written for the laymen.
    Please help
    Thanks

Silica Gel usually comes in a porous bag within a perforated box. Put the bag and the phone in a ziplock bag together. If you buy loose silica gel just put it in the plastic bag, then put the phone on top of it. Try not to get the grains of silica gel in the openings on the phone, as it will be hard to get out.

  • How to trace an error

    Dear all,
How to trace a purticular error ?
    from metalink
Diagnose the issue by running the following trace
    alter system set events '1775 trace name ERRORSTACK level 3';
Redo the import and reproduce the error. The trace file should be in the
    USER_DUMP_DEST directory.
    alter system set events '1775 trace name errorstack off';
Trace file will show something like the following:
    ksedmp: internal or fatal error
    ORA-01775: looping chain of synonyms
Current SQL statement for this session:
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM SYS_IMPORT_TABLE_01
I am getting the same ora 01775 error. But when I am tracing, I am not getting any result in my udump. Is there any other setting do I have to make to get the trace file?
    Thanks

Your question can not be answered.
Not only you don't include a version (this seems to be too difficult for most posters here), but you also include ambiguous sentences like 'When I am tracing'.
This results in the question 'did you issue the alter system command and was it successful?'
As far as I am aware the syntax is
    alter system set events='<errornum> trace name errorstack level 3';
    There are no other 'settings'
The only other solution is to set up an afterserver error trigger.
Works like a charm, 8i onwards.
You uncover way too many things you don't even want to know!
