How to trace phoneCallChanged-tests?

Hi,
Im trying to extend the IciEventService -> phoneCallChanged-transaction to send additional data to the Webclient to identify the client.
Im using the wsnavigator-testpages to test the events which works so far, just my problem is I dont know how to trace them and how to check what and if it is transmitted.
If I do a test call via the simulator I can see the actions in CRM_ICI_TRACE, but not what is send manually even its same data.
Can anybody tell me how I can make it work? Im quite new to SAP and could need some help here.

Do I need any further classes or settings? I am using JDK 8 b103.

Though this question is related to SAP XI and SMICM trace, I feel this question can also be answered by people in WebAs General, so i am posting this in this forum.
In my current scenario where SAP XI system pushes data to another system(ABC system) using HTTPS connection. I have set up an RFC destination of Type G to connect to the external system.
When i do a Test connection, i see in SMICM log file, i found that connection established, request message written into ABC system.When response is being written i could find BINDUMP of content denied in the SMICM log file. What does that exactly mean..?
Also When i contacted the other party--ABC, they have told that they could not see any messages in their system.
XI shows successfully processed and ABC system did not receive the message... So where did the data go?? I have no clue :-(( Need your inputs in this regard. How to trace if the message has been successfully posted by XI. Below is the SMICM log file.

SMICM with trave level3 is the only way(i know) to trace whether the message has left XI server or not.

How to trace other user's session?

I would like to trace other user's session, I am on Oracle 10g R2 (10.2.0.4) on a Windows box. I did search on google and found tons of articles explaining about tracing techniques. But unfortunately, trace file is not getting generated in my case. Below are the steps I am following:

You must be using shared server.
You can verify this by referring to the SERVER column of v$session.
In shared server several servers will execute your code, so that's why you don't find a trace file.

How to trace the value passed by select list

Hi,
Is it possible to know what value is passed by the select list.
eg:
:p1_testid -- is the select list name .
if select list contains 3 values ... value1, value2, and value3. and I select value2 from the select list.
I want to confirm it that the value I selected is the same value passed to the query.
- select * from Test where Testid=:p1_testid;
How to trace the value of :p1_testid before query execution.

From developer tools at bottom of running page, select session, then look for the value associated with your select list..

How to trace a user System or I.P address

Hi Experts,
Had to ask how to trace a User's System or I.p address whom has performed changes over a BEX Query.
I have a situation where a user has done some changes in report it displays in last changed by user name:-****and last change date but i would like to trace the system from which these changes have been applied over a the bex Query.

Please have a quick look at the note 368048 which explains why the terminal ids are blank in some cases and gives the solutions where applicable.
If you want to see the current workstation with IP Addresses you can have a look at table USR41 which contains this information but this is not contained within the security audit log.

As for your query, about viewing user's IP, you might need to get user's Terminal ID from STAT/AL08 and manually use tracert in MS-DOS command to see particular user's IP. EG:tracert myl5005500.

over a maximum of 30 hops:
1    <1 ms    <1 ms    <1 ms <FQDN> [10.10.10.10]
Trace complete.
Note : I personally tested from logging in via query designer but my connections were not displayed in USR41. Once I connect to backend system my terminal IP could be traced.

How to trace the missing authorizations using NWBC at object level

In SAP R/3 any authorization issue can be tracked down till authorization object level using SU53 tcode and ST01 tcode.
1 - I have a super user who has all the roles in Solution manager system and test user which I created with just 1 role Incident management role. But when I login with Super user ID I can see in tcode (WDY_APPLICATION - Incident Management ) I have 4 tabs (Overview,Messages,Reports and Queries) but when I execute the same tcode using test ID I can only see Overview and Messages tab. Report and Query tab were missing . Please advice on how to trace the missing authorizations using NWBC at object level? or how to solve this issue......

How to trace a purticular error ?

Redo the import and reproduce the error. The trace file should be in the
USER_DUMP_DEST directory.

Trace file will show something like the following:

Current SQL statement for this session:

I am getting the same ora 01775 error. But when I am tracing, I am not getting any result in my udump. Is there any other setting do I have to make to get the trace file?

Your question can not be answered.
Not only you don't include a version (this seems to be too difficult for most posters here), but you also include ambiguous sentences like 'When I am tracing'.
This results in the question 'did you issue the alter system command and was it successful?'
As far as I am aware the syntax is
alter system set events='<errornum> trace name errorstack level 3';
There are no other 'settings'
The only other solution is to set up an afterserver error trigger.
Works like a charm, 8i onwards.
You uncover way too many things you don't even want to know!

Goto SE16 - EBAN - Give PR number in the iput screen.
In the output screen you will have to do field selection from Menu - Settings - formatlist - choose fields.
There you choose Purchase Order.
So the output will display for you POs for the PR that you entered.

How to achieve (and test) the crossplatformity of an applet?

I've written an applet which I put in jar. It is successfully being launched on my system both locally and from geocities web site. (WinXP JDK 1.4 Forte4.0)
A friend of mine could not load the applet from the web site. He has XP as well, but could be he does not have Java plugin yet.
Suppose my applet is correctly written, how do I know? How do I know that it is his problem, not my bug?
How do I generally test my applet/jar to be crossplatform? (Win, UNIX, Mac, etc.)
Is there a way to do it using my own set up only (my own computer/OS)?
What does one do to be sure that he has written a correct applet that will run on as many platform as possible?
Or what minmal precautions should be taken when writing such applet?

The JVM from Microsoft, which most users of Internet Explorer are likely to use, still is on the level of JDK 1.1. So check that you don't e.g. use Integer.parseInt() and other stuff added with J2SDK 1.2 or later.
You probably installed Sun's JRE the way that your IE uses it instead of the MS JVM. I don't know how to disable this, but I think it's possible.
You can test an applet on your computer if you have different browsers. Look at the home pages of the manufacturers to see whether they use their own JVM or Sun's JVM or whatever JVM they find on the PC. E.g. Opera uses Sun's JVM, so it won't help in testing. But I checked your site with Netscape 4.7 and the applet didn't work. So I guess it uses an older JVM. You can install multiple versions of Netscape on your PC, e.g. 4.7 and 6.2, and then use 4.7 to test your applets for compatibility. (You cannot install more than one version of Internet Explorer.)
You can also install more than one JRE, and then change the classpath to the old JVM (i.e. 1.1) when checking whether your applet works with it, too.

I have a rquirement that I need to Trace a session created through the Application. The only data I have is that I know the application will connect to a Database schema and nothing else. How is it possilbe that I can create a trace file for it.
Also is it possilble, that i can trace complete user. how to find all the trace as it create number of process inturn number of trace, how do I find it and combine. I read the documentation but can't understand it clearly?

Of course, you can play around with the 'if' condition, and delete or disable the trigger when it is no longer needed. The resulting trace file can be run through tkprof.

Hi,
I would like to how to create and test a Zone of Type F1-APP-URL?
What all is required to setup an ADF application based URL in F1-APP-URL, what to configure and what are the basics or definite steps required to have a Zone of Type F1-APP-URL up and running in the application? Any Sample ADF components to be created?
Please kindly let me know. Any test or dummy URL existing already which is based on ADF?

Spreadsheet: how can I store test results from different tests in the same central spreadsheet?

I am looking to gather test data using LabVIEW. I then want to store all the data in the same spreadsheet, a kind of central data base. I know how to store single test data in a spreadsheet but I can I get the software to write new data in the same file without over writing the old data?

My first recommendation is that if you need a database--use a database not a spreadsheet. How to trace the changes made by other user in portal

Hi All,
Actually i have a requirement like, some body has done some changes in Development server how to trace those chnages in portals or Visual Admin (who is the user and what are all the objects that got changed) .
Actually our development system , Quality and Production systems are working fine till yesterday but when we logon to the dev, qua, prd systems today there are some changes and some of the things are not working client was asking us whether we have done some canges if not who has done the changes.
Is there any place where all these changes can be recorded (likes who is the user and changes ....) or traced like log files or any thing else
Can any one help me out in this regard.

Hi ,
As you told some changes identified. so navigate to corresponnding portal obejcts and find modified and last changed by similar properties in the property editor object.
portal activity reports gives how many users visted specific pcd object but not who visited. You can use pcd filter to compare properties.
