How to track materails of machines  after repair.

Hi experts,
How I track the repairable material  after repair along with equipment no. Suppose I have 1 press machine having 100 motors of different rating  & suppose I maintained itu2019s sr no  .Then is it possible to get the equipment no in IW81 refurbishment selection screen & how I track material of specific machine from sr no.
With Regards,
Avi DDS

Have You Created 100 Motors of Press Machine as Individual Equipments , if that's the Case Then you can create Synchronization of Serial number with Equipment Number in Material master of Motors of Differnt Rating.
Result You get Serial Number same as Equipment Number or Name, this way you can search the individual Equipments  of Press Machine.
Otherwise Assign  serial number i.e,, Name of individual Equipment or Name of Main Press  for individual Material at the time of Refurbishment Order Creation
Equipment No in refurbishment order is given in "Objects" Next to Quantity in Order Header Tab .

  • How to set-up  Time Machine after Restore

After having restored an entire system back from Time Machine, it looks to me as Time Machines wants to completely backup all data already held on the hard-disk. With this effect, the harddisk is not big enough. I do not want to buy another disk. Is there any way how to persuade Time Machine that it should use the existing data on the disk?

    Hi Aulia,
I don't believe that you will be able to have Time Machine understand that you only want it to continue with the same data : once it has detected that a file changed, it makes another copy, even if you know that it's the same file : it's based on messages telling it that a file has changed, not on files comparison.
I think that the "inprogress" file will be replaced by another one if you let TM do it's job : it won't make a third copy of your data. If there is enough space on the disk, you can let TM continue, and try to manage with the following trick, with patience and much care.
Make sure that the "Action" menu is visible in a Finder's window (it is if you did not customize the toolbar to remove it), and dive into Time Machine. Select a item in the window : the Action menu now has an item that should read "delete all backups of this element" (or something like that : I'm translating my French version). Take care that "all" here really means ALL versions in the backup : the only copy left would be on your main disk.
The next backup may not make a fresh copy unless you help it a little : after all, there was no message telling TM that the original was changed, since it was not ! Just do anything in the folder containing the item that you deleted from the backup (like creating and immediately deleting a folder there) : this will tell TM that something has happened there, the next backup will check the folder, detect the missing element and make a fresh copy.
Having only one copy of a really important folder may not suit you, even if it's only for the short delay until the next backup. You can make a copy of it, and run TM to backup the copy (a right click on the icon in the dock shows a "backup now" item). You now have a backed up version, you can delete the original, and all the backup copies of the original with the previous method. But if you rename the copy back to it's original name, it will be saved again... just iterate one more time !
I hope that this can help you, but please do not hesitate to try and validate your method on small copies before you delete something in your backup !
PS : I just tested my proposals with my 33Gb iMovie Events folder : a new copy of an event folder is created in the backup each time you rename an event, and I gained more than 40 Gb by deleting all previous redundant versions.
At least, it works for me !

  • How to restore from time machine after HDD upgrade on macbook pro?

    Hi,
I have recently bought a WD 2.5 inch SATA 750GB 7200RPM 16GB HDD and plan to use it on my macbook pro 13 inch 2.4ghz early 2011. I will leave the pysical installation part to Apple Service. I have my Time Machine backup on an external hard disk. So, once I get the upgraded macbook, what are the steps I should follow for a complete Time Machine restore? (Including the formatting on the new HDD).
One more question; when I transfer my applications to the new HDD will Time Machine "remember" their activation codes and license information ?
    Thanks a lot.

    http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/14.html
This has all the instructions for a complete restore, including how to format the disk. Pondini's site probably has anything else you want to know too.
    Good luck!

  • How to restore from Time Machine after HD change?

Hi I am having my hard drive replaced due to the issue with the Seagate hard drives. I have a Lacie NAS which is working with Time Machine. I wanted to know, once I have my iMac back with a new hard drive, how do I restore everything from Time Machine?
    Thanks

Have a look at this thread I posted in earlier and the various links in Pondini's excellent Time Machine resource I linked to:

  • How to track before image and after image of changes in retro changelog?

    Hi all,
I've enabled plug-in retro change log and accessed with JNDI successfully. However, the changes column keeps after change only. Is it possible to track before image through retro changelog plug-in?
    Cheers.

The retro-changelog contains the changes as received by the server.
There is no way to dump the content (or part of it) of the entry before the change was applied.

  • How to track an ipod touch after it is stolen?

Hi; my sister had an ipod touch stolen at a school from her son. She informed law enforcement and apple. Apple states: they cannot track the device. All devices have a MAC address assigned to them. The moment someone tries to re-register the device; it will show up in itunes as belonging to another owner. I dont think Itunes will allow the device to operate and I firmly believe Apple  would certainly report the device to local law enforcement. Its bad business to not do so. Not to mention the warrants served on the Itunes server. Last thing the public needs is Law enforcement looking around just because Apple is not cooperating. So if they cannot track it; Do they actually report it?

Apple is not the police.  A car company does not tract stolen cars.
    Apple specificaly states:
"Apple does not have a process to track or flag lost or stolen product,"
    From:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2526
If you had already set up the FindMyiPod feature and wifi is on then you may be able to tract the iPod but all the persion has to do is place the iPod in recovery mode to erase/disable the feature.

  • Advice needed on how to track down a program after 3 mins upti

Hi... really struggling with tracking down a daemon/script that is running on my system.... have openbox, with some gnome, xfce and lxde programs to make it more gui based. Wondering if someone can can help me track down the program that is over-riding my synaptics config?
Basically, I have a synaptics config file in xorg.conf.d that is read and applied at boot. Then at around 3min 28 secs of uptime, this config gets overridden. I have stared at the output of top to see if there is anything showing up at around that time, but I not noticing anything!
    The arch wiki mentions;
Gnome settings daemon may override existing settings (for example ones set in xorg.conf.d) for which there is no equivalent in any of the graphical configuration utilities. It is possible to stop gnome from touching mouse settings at all:
    Run dconf-editor
    Edit /org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/mouse/
    Uncheck the active setting
It will now respect your system's existing synaptics configuration.
however, this option is not available, so I am assuming this is not the cause (might be mistaken?), but am now lost. I have tried to remove dconf, but it has dependencies I use for smbclient, namely gvfs.
Any ideas / help / guidance or what ever would be great!
    Thanks

ninjaprawn wrote:no, the file itself is not being overwritten... just the values are being overridden...the values remain the same, just dont have any effect... and if I pass something like 'synclient CoastingFriction=5' this has no effect on the coasting speed, even if the value was 0 before.
Oh, overridden. My bad, I read "overwritten" by accident. My apologies. Unfortunately I don't think I can help. Sorry :\. lsof should still help you if what you're trying to do is track though. GDB wouldn't be a bad idea, either.

    Hello Prasnanta,
I want to keep Despatch and Transportaion details , such as Despatch dt.,
Transport vehicle no, Consignment no.,LR doc, POD etc against sales invoice
no genetated from SD . Is there any provision in SD module?
I am not very sure about the Standard process of setting up these details like Despatch dt, Transport Vehicle No, Consignment no.,LR doc, POD etc against sales invoice. But i think you can involve a ABAPer and develop a CUSTOM table which shall contain these information with respect to Billing document Number. Please try it out and let us know if your requirement can be met or not.

  • How to track repair status.

I sent in my newly purchased S230U for repair to a depot (flextronics?) located in Newmarket, Toronto, Canada.  I was given the "case number" of A0XXFVH.  Now, how do I track the status of the repair?  EasyServ website does not recognize the case number.  Can anyone help please!

    Hi, trhbme1
I believe I can help you with this. Can you send me a private message containing your serial number and any other relevant information? With this, I can look up your machine and tell you the progress of the system thus far.
    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

  • HT1338 Attempt to install Mountain Lion has highlighted need for internal disk repair. Even after "repair" ML still says disk is damaged. Attempt to restore from Time Machine back-up failed - cannot 'see' internal HD to restore to. Help!

Attempt to install Mountain Lion has highlighted need for internal disk repair. Even after "repair" ML still says disk is damaged. Attempt to restore from Time Machine back-up failed - cannot 'see' internal HD to restore to. Help! Has attempt to install ML caused these problems or just highlighted existing need to Repair Disk? Even so, why can back-up from Time Machine not see the internal drive to restore to?

Csound1, William & Sig .... thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I fear you are right - I'll need a new disk. I'm booked in at the Apple Genius Bar in Bordeaux, France on Wed ... quite a challenge as my French isn't great! The current internal disk is 500gb, does anyone know whether I can upgrade my 21.5" iMac (circa Oct-2009 vintage) to a larger size internal disk, 1Tb or even 2Tb? I already have one external 2Tb drive and another one on order (I have masses of media stored and more planned as I've just taken up photography). Seems a bit of a pain managing with only 500gb internal storage. OR, can you advise me on how I can store all my photos on my new 2Tb external drive - I can't seem to figure out how to set the path for iPhoto to see them (I can't even figure out where they are stored right now!). Same with iTunes, how do I set the default storage to the external drive (I moved everything manually and then imported them all from the new drive - it worked but seemed very convoluted). Any advice on how to manage multiple drives gratefully received. And thanks again for previous replies.

  • How to restore files from Time Machine after Clean Install of Mavericks

How to restore files from Time Machine after Clean Install of Mavericks. I know the data is there but seems unaccessable because I may have changed the Computer or Owner name. Is there any way to fix that now?

    Hi Linc,
my back-up data is managed by Time Machine; the actual data is on a second internal Hard Drive with a capacity of 1TB - not partitioned. I am using Time Machine and have access to all data backed up since Mavericks Clean Install but not the data prior to this date.
When I open the 1TB drive in Finder I can see a folder "Backups.backupdb/Sigi's Mac Pro/ followed by many folders of backup dates going back to 2010-09-20-103441 and up to 2014-02-07-142414 all followed with folder Macintosh HD.  February 7th  2014 was the date of the clean install.
These Backups are followed by backup date folder 2014-02-08-075554 with a subfolder of MacPro-320GB (this is the name I assigned to my Boot Drive during formatting; I suspect I should have assigned the same name as before ie. Macintosh HD) and 2014-02-11 with a subfolder Macintosh HD, these are the ones I get access to by way of Time Machine > Restore.
Weird thing is on Febr 11 when I relised my possible mistake and renamed the Bootdrive back to what it was initially ie. Macintosh HD despite this I have access to all backup data since the Clean Install in both folders MacPro-320GB as well as Macintosh HD but not to any data prior to the Clean Install.
Is there something that Time Machine knows and prevents access or is it simply a matter of renaming the subfolder 2014-02-08-07554/MacPro-320GB to ........./Macintosh HD?
I like to restore selectively and not everything - It was hard work reinstalling apps that were supposed to be the troublemakers (ref my discussion on Maverick problems) but I now need to get onto data specific to some of these apps as well as other data I may have missed. Long story? Yes and sorry.

I have Photoshop Elements 10 on a new Mac, using Yosemite 10.1.1 - PE locks up every time I try to sign in. This software was restored to this computer from Time Machine after a theft of my old Mac. How can I fix this? It keeps telling me that there are missing files, too. If I upgrade to Elements 12 or beyond, will this fix the problem?

You can't sign in because there is nothing to sign in to. For PSE 10 the only sign in was to photoshop.com, which has been dead and gone for a year and half. Just skip the sign in. Reinstalling will not change this.

PSE is locking up because it's looking interminably for the non-existent photoshop.com server.
