How to track my ipod without the serial number, how to track my ipod without the serial number
i just got my ipod stolen how do i track it without the serial number please help my parents will kill me
The serial number does not help you track it. You can't track it without Find my iPod. If you did have Find my iPod, I have no doubt the thief disabled it by now. So it's gone.

My 3rd generation ipod has been stolen i have serial number how can i track the location?
my ipod has been stolen i have the serial number how can i find the location of the ipod?
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

The SN will only help identify the iPod as yours IF it is recovered. -
My ipod touch is lost but i have the serial number how do i track it?
plz help
If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors: the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled. Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Note, though, that you'll only get the location of the WiFi router to which the iPod is connected; there's no way to pinpoint the exact location of the iPod itself.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. You should the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).
One final possibility if you did not set up Find My iPod; if you believe you know the area in which your iPod was lost, you may be able to send an email or Facetime request and hear the "ring" and be able to locate your iPod that way.

My ipad and my ipod were both stolen during a robbery at our home. How can I deauthorize both of these without having them in my possession? I did delete the ipad from my itunes account.
(You may have to change your name to "unlucky girl1")
Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

They are not listed as devices on the itunes store account...Hi BradSLane,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. This article has one method to find your serial number:
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2526
If you have lost or found an Apple product, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report it. Although Apple does not have a process to track or flag lost or stolen product, you can use My Support Profile to find a list of serial numbers that have been purchased or registered with your Apple ID.
Go to My Support Profile*.
Sign in with your Apple ID.
View your purchases in "My Products".
* Currently available only in certain languages.
Note: If you need help remembering your Apple ID(s), go here.

how do i delay the screensaver kicking in? I want to have the music function available without havingto constantly press slide to open. Ipod touch. Thanks
On the iPod, go into Settings/General/Auto-Lock and set that for the amount of time you want, form the choices given.
However, a note of caution; this isn't a screensaver function, it's there to prolong battery life. The longer the screen is on before turning itself off, the more battery you are using and the shorter the time before you run out of power.
There's possibly a better way for you to use you iPod than to keep the screen on. Why are you constantly going into the music function? If it's to select a new track, you could possibly use the Shake To Shuffle feature, which will select a new track at random when you shake the iPod. Alternatively, use the basic Shuffle feature. Or create a Playlist (on the iPod), where you can select the songs you want to play at that time, put them in one list and let the iPod play them. -
I have three iPads and one iPod and one iPhone. How can I message between them without sending the message to all of them. You send the message to your email address but all of them are set up under one account.
You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

My iPhone, iPad and iPod are all associated with the same Apple ID. How can I remove the iPod and associate it with a new Apple ID without affecting the data on the other devices (note: there is no data on the iPod I want to keep)?
Very simple. Turn off Find my iDevice, then Tap Settings, General, Erase, Erase all content and settings.

My six-year old grandson appears to be able to make purchases on the TV without having to enter the password and yet every other device i use (e.g. iPad, iPhone, iPod) is password protected. How is that possible when I have to use my password to access such services on all other devices?

Having AppleTV remember the password is optional.
Logout of iTunes store, log back in and hopefully next time you come to purchase you'll be prompted for your password but decline the option to remember it. You might also want to look out of parental controls on the unit.

I have gotten locked out of my ipod touch and do not know the password, but my computer cannot restore it, so I need to know how to get in without restoring it.
PC WAY
1.Plug the iPod in computer.
2.Go to "My Computer" And click the apporiate drive your your iPod.
3.Change the folder option to "View all hidden files and folders"
4.Navigate to ipod_control
5.Then go to Device
6.Then there is a file there named"_Unlocked"
7.Open that up with a text editor (Notepad) and viola the passcode is right there. -
My friend synced a video to my ipod but it earased all my data on my ipod, but I can't figure out how to load my old library back without deleting the movie. My friend shares a family account so she can't tell me the password. How can i get my old library back without deleting the movie?

Not true at all.
You only buy the right to your own personal use.
You do NOT have the right to distribute to others.
This is illegal. There is no doubt about it -
On my iPod touch, in my music library, I have 2 tracks of the same song on a few of the albums. How do I delete the second track of the same song?
