How to track stolen Ipod touch?
I know this may sound stupid, But i could of sworen that there was a way that Ipods could be tracked once they have been stolen, with the "Cloud" system or something...maybe im worng but I need to know...
If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled or the iPod been completely restored).
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).
Regards.

How to track your ipod touch with serial number?
Well i lost my ipod touch and I don't know how to find it. Is there anyway to track my ipod touch with my serial number.
Here is Apple article:
Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
While Apple might be able to get information when the iPod is connected to iTunes, there would be privacy issues with revealing it to anybody who claimed it was stolen. Just think what would happen if you sold the iPod and later claimed it was stolen or lost. -
How to track an ipod touch after it is stolen?
Hi; my sister had an ipod touch stolen at a school from her son. She informed law enforcement and apple. Apple states: they cannot track the device. All devices have a MAC address assigned to them. The moment someone tries to re-register the device; it will show up in itunes as belonging to another owner. I dont think Itunes will allow the device to operate and I firmly believe Apple would certainly report the device to local law enforcement. Its bad business to not do so. Not to mention the warrants served on the Itunes server. Last thing the public needs is Law enforcement looking around just because Apple is not cooperating. So if they cannot track it; Do they actually report it?
Apple is not the police. A car company does not tract stolen cars.
Apple specificaly states:
"Apple does not have a process to track or flag lost or stolen product,"

If you had already set up the FindMyiPod feature and wifi is on then you may be able to tract the iPod but all the persion has to do is place the iPod in recovery mode to erase/disable the feature. -
How to block stolen ipod touch using serial number?
hello... my ipod touch was stolen last night and i'm trying to figure out how to block the ipod using just the serial number.... i'm not quiet sure if the "find my iphone" apps is still accessible since it can be reset and all the data that's been saved will be deleted.
The SN will only help identify the iPod as yours if it is recovered.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

My iPod touch was stolen May 21, 2013 out of my gym locker and it wasn't connected to wifi when it was stolen. It has a passcode on it. I've been using the Find My iPhone thing lately and it won't locate it. How can I find it if it isn't connected to wifi?

How to block stolen ipod touch from a distance? please help
Hi,
My whole handbag was stolen today in a store, inside was my purse, smart-phone and my Ipod touch.
What can I do to block my ipod from a distance.
If I can't have it back, they don't deserve to get it for free.
Please help.
Thanks,

If you has already turned on the FIndMyiPod feature and wifi is on and connected you may be able to locate and wipe it. Go to iCloud, sign in and go to findMyPhone. If the iPod i restored the find feature is deleted.
- Apple will not help with anything

How to track my iPod touch?
I recently had my iPod stolen. How do I track it?
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wiipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.
Change your iTunes password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them. -

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
iCloud: Erase your device
iCloud: Use Lost Mode
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

how can i track a stolen ipod touch (2nd gen, 8gb, 4.2.1)
Lucky you, the only way to get your missing device back is thru a GOOD SAMARITHAN.Remember once the new user puts your device to "ERASE ALL CONTENT AND SETTINGS" and you connect it to your iTunes ,using the new users Apple ID ,everything changes to the new users name, unless you have an Apple Care protection plan which is registered under that serial #.

how do u track an ipod touch when its connected to a wifi and how do u find out when its your stolen ipod touch is connected
If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing - the app is for tracking an iOS device from another iOS device - then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Note, though, that you'll only get the location of the WiFi router to which the iPod is connected; there's no way to pinpoint the exact location of the iPod itself.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Notify the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

Hi, I upgraded recently to 10.4.6 and I've noted that there's no sound at all in certain applications. At the beginning, some games didn't work: Age of Empires II, Age of Mythology and Doom (curiously, I can hear music but no sounds in all of them).
