How to track which host logon to SAP server

Dear Gurus,
Is it possible to find a log in SAP like audit trail of when a PC host logged on to SAP?

Hard problem. how to track which application a user opens next?

Hello,
When the user runs my program,
then **with his permission**, I want to be able to track
which application the user has opened.
For example, if he opens resume.rtf in MSWord, then I
should be able to record or store the full path of
MSWord and also the document path (c:\my
documents\resume.rtf).
Do you know how to do it?

Da Wanderer has posted code (in Visual Basic?) to open a folder. He says it is cross platform. I am stumped by the code for Linux. Does anyone know if it will work for Linux. ie. Can I use the same options to open a document in Linux?
I plan to use Runtime.exec similarly in Java, to open a doc.

How to Specify Which Version of Rsync on Server Side

I have installed rsync 3.0.6 on both client and server side and know how to specify which version to use on the client side but am I right in assuming that if I don't specify some how on the server side it will use the version stored in /usr/bin/rsync? Do I have to move the version stored in /usr/local/bin/rsync to /usr/bin?

How can I consume a transaction which is on another SAP server or client?

I work on SAP Collateral Managements (SAP CMS), on the transaction (cms_wb), this transaction works to create Collateral Objects, on some collateral objects need to do reference some number of document. The documents which i need to reference on the object. If this documents don't exist, are need to create on SAP FI (SAP FI is in other server).
On the transaction(cms_wb) I create the document, if it doesn't exist. I only click an icon, and then this icon opens the transaction of SAP FI.
This configuration was done by SAP Basis Consultant.
Do you have any idea to do this on ABAP program?

How to Track which Super user change the License Administration

My client recently encounter the License was allocated from a particular user id by an super user, resulting the end user unable to perform transaction when log onto SAP B1 8.8 PL19.
Is there any way which we can trace and control which super user edit the License Administration and allocated the license to other user?

1. Login through manager then Go To Administrator--> System Initialization--> Authorization--> Additional Authorization Creator
2. Additional Authorization Creator screen appear.
3. Select any content on right side screen and click on Add Same Level button
4. Authorization ID : Give any Name
5. Name : Give any Name
6. Option : Full/None
7. Forms ID : Click on Edit Button --> Enter ID for License Administrator 60070.
8. Click Update and Ok.
9. Go To Authorization--> General Authorizations--> Select User in which you have block Graph--> User Authorization
here select No Authorization.
Just untick supper user check box of other user and give rights

How to track which segments are growing day by day????

I have my Index tablespace which is getiing full day by day.
I am doing analysis every day.
Right now 4700MB is free.
I am checking every day by how increase is there.
some day its 40MB and some day its 112Mb.
Right now its 91% full and 9% free.
My analysis is that My tablespace will get full in around next 30 days.
I have searched for segemnts in that tablespace and found that all are indexes and some of the tables are also placed in this tablespace....
My question is:
every day that tablespace increase by 100Mb . Is ther way to find which particular segment in that tablespace is growing day by day ,My belief is one of the tables that is mistakely palced in index tablespace.
How can I achieve what I want??

You could record the size of the segments of the given tablespace every day: create table t as select * from dba_segments where tablespace_name = &tsname
; And then on the day after that you would query something like: select s.segment_name,
          s.bytes-t.bytes segment_growth
   from dba_segments s, t
where s.tablespace_name = &tsname
    and s.tablespace_name = t.tablespace_name
    and s.segment_name = t.segment_name
; And then truncate table t and populate it with current data and repeat next day.

Process works fine... how to track which column is causing error..

hi, i have a big sp which does lets say tasks A, B, C, D...
After every task i.e A, B, C, D I have an update or insert
statement. The update & insert both work fine, except that I
have coldfusion catch code for sp execution and it returns String
or binary data would be truncated error. Normally this means
inserting something into a column whose lenght is less than whats
being inserted. I understand this , but how can i determine which
column is causing problem since after tasks A,B,C,D the insert or
update i have is working fine. It would be have easy if i couldnt
have seen inserted or updated records, but in this case the
functionality is working fine except that coldfusin gives an error
which i want to avoid.

rather than int or datetime, ....

I know I can have convert(varchar(20), @start_date,101) to
get the format dd/mm/yy but then I have to cast it to datetime
which will again make it in format dd/mm/yy hh:mi:ss... any other
way to just keep it dd:mm:yy ???

Ya, I am aware of NWA config to get an automated email for human activity. The reason I can not use this option because, automated email can not be customised. I have the requirement to customize the email with some payload variables.
I have implemented some workaround to get the host name in BPM.

As far as i know a backup would be taken for the database completely,there is no such option to backup a single client.
If you want to backup a client there is no other option rather than backing up the sap system,as far as i know.

Can the SAP uses the pictures which located on SAP server itself?

Can i use the picture which located on a shared place? The pictures are already existing and used by other software, e.g., Peoplesoft. then i want to attach the pictures on report output (SapScriupt/Smartform). In this case, can i use those pictures directly from other places/servers? I mean, can the SAP uses the pictures which not upload to SAP server? if yes, what criteria the pictures are e.g., tiff, jpeg, or size.

Use the following FM's to do the Upload of Pictures from the Server to your SAP System
1) SAPSCRIPT_IMPORT_GRAPHIC - this will import graphic as a Text
2) SAPSCRIPT_IMPORT_GRAPHIC_BDS - this will import graphic as a BDS element and can be viewable in SE78.
