I've got some projects started in GB2 on the MDD G4, that I'd like to port over to the MBP, at some point, so I can work on them while away from the house. How?
Figured I'd grab the documents, then the audio files... but can't find the audio files.

Yes you need to have EP installed for using portal eventing.
The best way to achieve your functionality is by building these projects as DCs. Then add the second component as 'Used DC' in the first component. For whatever data you require in component B, expose corresponding nodes in the interface view. Now any time you want, you can trigger the second component and pass the data through the exposed nodes.

A project in FCPX has grown from its original scope. I've now got four different Events on an old iMac (maxed out with 4GB). I want to move the project to another Mac. I've copied over all of the Event folders as well as the Project folder. (Total: about 100GB)
The problem is that the timeline tells me I'm missing clips, but they were all consolidated into the Event folders before copying them to the second Mac. Trying to reconnect each clip is not working (because it's like cutting the whole thing again). Many of the edits used "Favorites," excluded "Rejected" clips, had audio corrections, transitions, connected storylines, etc.
Is there a way to save my edits when moving this project? (Re-editing the whole project is almost impossible to consider.)

As long as the other computer is on the same network as the main itunes computer, you can turn on home sharing on both and you will be able to see the itunes library on the second computer.
If you turn on itunes match, you wlll be able to see your music on any computer (outside your network) which has internet connectivity and which has your itunes account id set up on that external computer.

How to move completed motion project to another computer?

I made a simple opening bumper video / title video that I have sent over to FCPX. (Meaning I can change the date on the video in FCPX.) I want to transfer that to my laptop to do some work next week. Do I need to have Motion installed on my laptop for that to open up and work (and allow me to edit the date - rig within FCPX?
Also I'm not even sure where that file lives and how to copy it over to my laptop. Is it a motion project file? Is there a way just to select in FCPX and copy it? By the way, it's showing up in the titles section I believe (or maybe it's templates.)

FCPX should be able to use templates installed in that pathway whether you have Motion on the same machine or not. Most FCPX users don't have Motion 5 at all. I develop many templates and distribute them freely. They have to be installed in those specific pathways.

To be complete: FCPX needs the "bundle" that goes with the effect published by Motion which consists of a Folder with the effect name, and the .moti (for titles) file, a large and small .png file (display icon) and a Media folder (containing any required media for use within the effect - most have no extra media, so it's generally an empty folder.) When Motion saves an effect for FCPX, it creates all of these files (and the folder) automatically in the Path FCPX expects to find it in.

Do not create any additional GL for it. ...Go to F-30...Transfer posting with clearing..choose open items...select account type K and enter vendor whose open items are to be transferred ...process open items...select all open items and go to overview button..in posting key give appropriate posting key and vendor enter amount and simulate...If you want to post this to GL then use Clearing GL from which latter on you can re transfer the entries to this vendor..

Do you want to transfer the entire library? If so just connect the two Macs together and copy the iPhoto Library from Mac A to Mac B and put it in your Pictures folder. Be sure to rename it if you already have a library in the destination folder so as not to overwrite.
Under no circumstances should you import a library into another library.

Copying or moving a project to an external hard disk
You can copy or move your video projects to a compatible external hard disk connected to your computer using a USB or FireWire cable.
Moving or copying projects is useful if you want to work on a project using another computer. You can connect a hard disk containing a project to another computer that has iMovie ‘09, and then work on the project on that computer.
Moving projects can also be useful if you want to save space on your computer’s hard disk.
To copy or move a project to another hard disk:
Connect a compatible external hard disk drive to your computer using a FireWire or USB 2.0 cable.
A hard disk icon appears in the Project Library.
NOTE:When using an external hard disk with iMovie, make sure it has been formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Select the project that you want to move or copy, and then do one of the following:
To copy the project, drag it to the icon of the hard disk where you want to copy it, and then choose “Copy project” or “Copy project and events.”
If you choose “Copy project,” none of the project’s video or other media is copied to the other disk. To edit the project, the computer you’re using must be connected to the hard disk that contains the media.

Move the domain.sites file from one computer to the other.
The file is located under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Move this file to the same location on the other computer and double click and iWeb will open it. Remember, it is your User Library that you want and not your System Library, as you will not find iWeb there.
Just create a new site on the same domain file and it will appear below the other site. If you want them side by side then duplicate your domain file and have one site per a domain file and they can then be side by side.
