Use an app like ibooks or acrobat reader.
You can then transfer the files via itunes or email them and then use the open in... option and select your chosen app.

Actually I'm working on an EJB which is able to generate an XML file by the data I saved before in a JDBC database.
Now I'd like to create a WebDynpro view, from where the user can download this file (after giving the order to generate it) to his local machine.
For the UI element FileDownload I already have inserted the binary type element into the context.
Now I'm looking for the best way to transfer the XML file from the EJB to the view, so that it can be downloaded.
Is it better to transfer it by DOMSource and to create the file in the view or to create the file in the EJB and transfer the binary data to the view?
Or is there another possibility?

In transaction SM69 external operating system commands can be set up and then these can be executed using function SXPG_CALL_SYSTEM from ABAP or using SM49 transaction.
See documentation in the function module and application help in the SM69 / SM49 transactions.
You could set up commands for copy, move, delete for the relevant directories. Be careful to limit the directories and set security appropriately.

Do you know who to read an audio file from the hard disk and play it. It's for an application and not an applet. I tried with the Applet.newAudioClip(URL url) thing, but I keep getting a MalformedURLException.
And is there a way to get the path of the file you are using? Currently I'm doing this:

I'm sure there's a better way. And this is not for an applet, just a normal app.

I was looking for some resources on syncing your Mail accounts from your computer to your iPad.
In our article named iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296. This section in particular will get you started:
USB syncing
Open iTunes.
Connect the iOS device (your iPad) to your computer using the included USB cable and select it in iTunes under Devices on the left-hand side. Some tabs may not appear if you do not have corresponding content in your library. For example if you do not have any podcasts in your library, the corresponding Podcast tab will not appear.
When you see that bar you want to click Info, and there will be a checkbox there to Sync Mail Contacts. Check the box, then click Apply in the lower right corner of the iTunes window.

I have a macbook pro(late 2006 model) which won't turn on. Brought it to the apple store for them to take a look at. I was told that the main circuit board is broken and it will be cheaper to buy a newer macbook instead of fixing it. I was also told that the harddrive was ok. How do I transfer the files from my old macbook pro hardrive(which won't turn on) to a new macbook pro? They offered to help me at the apple store but it will cost me $99 for their "one to one." 2.5" SATA. USB2 models can be found be found for $15 or so. Then the enclosure can be used with an old or new HD for backups/troubleshooting.
