How to transfer an NPR PODCAST TO AN IPOD

HOW do I download a Podcast from a iPad to an iPod

Import it into a computer's iTunes library and then sync the iPod with that library; to move it to the iTunes library, try using the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes or redownload it from the Internet.

  • How do I put a podcast on a iPod mini?

OK, back in the old days (this morning) I had an iPod shuffle. Worked great except that about every third time I turned it on I had to hit various volume-up, pause, play, forward, back, off, on, off, on, volume up four times, etc. to get it to start playing. But the one thing I could do with it was to plug it into my computer, open up iTunes, find the podcast I wanted and drag it over to the iPod. It would sync, I could listen, life was good.
Now I'm the owner of a beautiful iPod mini. I plugged it in and it immediately tried to load everything from my computer onto it's 4G hard drive. I poked at the screen and finally got it to stop and now I'm trying to figure out how to get one podcast on it. I drag the podcast, but it won't let me drop. How do I get my podcast onto my iPod mini?

You could change the setting to manually manage songs and then make sure you have enough space for the podcast.

  • How to transfer music including purchased music from ipod touch to my computer running windows 7

how to transfer music including purchased music from ipod touch to my computer running windows 7

    Hi, dphoward525
If you've purchased the music from itunes, when you plug the iPod in to the pc, it'll ask if you want to transfer purchases to the computer. Due to the restriction ,we can only transfer our music from PC to iPod , but not transferring from iPod to PC if you’ve not purchased them .In this case, transferring your files from iPod to computer can be a hassle , I think you will need a practical third-party solution . In order to find out how to transfer music from iPod to computer, you need to seach more information on the internet.

  • How to transfer my videos podcasts from macbookpro to my new iMac ?

I've just bought a new iMac and would like to transfer my videos podcast from my MacBookPro without having to download all of them again. I was already successfull in transfering the subscriptions but they are asking to download again all the videos, including the free and the bought ones. That is a waste of time ! Isn't there a Apple smart way to avoid it ?
    Thanks in advance folks !

You can't do it directly on your iPad. You will need to copy them to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Then add them to your computer's iTunes via File > Add To Library so that they go into the Movies part of your iTunes library, and then sync them to your iPad's Videos app.

  • Ipod video 60gb how to transfer movies from DVD to mi ipod

i just got my new ipod video i want to transfer my DVD movies to my ipod how do i do that

i just got my new ipod video i want to transfer my
DVD movies to my ipod how do i do that
I use PQ DVD. It is easy to use just open it up, insert your DVD, hit play on the interactive menu and press record. It will send the file to a pre-determind file and then just open iTunes and drag it accross. As simple as that.

  • HT203128 How do i delete songs/podcasts off my ipod in itunes 12.1

Since the upgrade, I cannot see how I can delete songs or podcasts off my ipod.  I will run out of memory very quickly.  If I put in delete songs into Help it says select and press backspace.  This does not work.

Thank you very much for your help.  Actually, I just found another solution.  I checked the box at the bottom of the Summary page which says Manually manage music and videos.  I then clicked Apply and after that, I was able to delete content.
Why are neither of these solutions available when you query Help?
Perhaps one of the highly paid help in Apple could tell me (and all the others who have commented) what benefits we are getting from the upgrade to 12.1.  It just seems to have made it less user friendly and more difficult to use.

  • Transfer Music + Videos + Podcasts + Photos from iPOd to iTunes

This is the same case of old PC crashing. I noticed there are a lot of ways of transferring music files to a new iTunes. Is there a way to do the same with video, podcasts and photo files as well?
    iPOD video   Windows XP

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed above your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and was written long before iTunes 7 so it requires a little adaptation, also it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then have a look at the third party utilities listed above they are generally quite straightforward and simple to use. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • How do you manually manage podcasts on the Ipod?

I subscribed to a podcast on my Itunes but didn't want to Automatically Update because I had podcasts on the Ipod from another machine. I found I could click and drag the individual videos from the podcast from Itunes to the Ipod.
After that the videos showed on the big list in Itunes when I showed the list of ALL songs and videos on the Ipod. But once I ejected the Ipod and browsed the menu the videos were nowhere to be found.
I finally bit the bullet and said goodbye to my old podcast and selected "Automatic Update".... probably should've come here first. But does anybody know how this can be avoided?

Just rightclick the iPOd name in iTUnes, hit "iPod Options" and in the following window hit the sub tab named "Podcast" (Not the tab at the very top, the sub one beside musiv, video, contacts ect ect). There you can set the podcast to manual update while keeping everything else auto update like music.

  • How to transfer songs from iPhone 4S to iPod Touch 4G

Hello users of iPhones and iPods etc all over the world...
My mum recently brought an iPod 4G and wants to transfer her songs from her iPhone 4S to this new iPod. I have spent all afternoon trying to work out how to via iTunes and Apple Support, however there is no use - I have tried backing the iPhone up to my laptop and booting it to the restored iPod Touch, however with 3 attempts all failed. Both devices have the latest iOS, so there is no issue there. One thing is that I'm using Windows 8 Asus X501A, however this should not make any difference from if it was a Windows 7 for that fact.
I'm usually quite fluent with my iDevices and technology, but have just gone clueless.
    Many thanks

  • How do I download NPR podcasts from a foreign country?

I'm an American living in a foreign country.  When I tried to download NPR's Wait, Wait....I get a message I can't download them because they are not generated from the country I live in.  What do I do?  In the past I have downloaded 4 years of Wait, Wait.....

I'm not convinced that Apple's Store Terms of Use is relevant here, because the Store is simply a directory of Podcasts. The Podcasts themselves are not downloaded "from" the Store, or "from" Apple; they come from the host server chosen by the Podcaster.
    However, there are two possibilities:
The country you are in. Perhaps it restricts the availability of Podcasts.
The Podcaster may have chosen to not make their Podcast available in the particular country you are in.
NPR's Wait Wait is available to the UK, but that does not mean it's available everywhere.
If I read literally, the message you mention; "I can't download them because they are not generated from the country I live in, that suggests to me, that the country you are in has placed a restriction that prevents any Podcasts originating from outside its borders from being downloaded.
You haven't mentioned which country you are in (perhaps for good reason), so for now, we'll leave it for you to decide if this may be the issue. Can you download other Podcasts that originate from outside the country's borders and in particular, any originating from the USA? If you can, then Perhaps it is the Podcaster who has restricted this. It does happen. Marina Orlova's Hot For Words continued to be available to the USA after it stopped being available to us here in the UK.

  • How do transfer my songs AND playlists from iPOD classic to a NEW laptop

How do you transfer both songs AND playlists from an iPOD to a new laptop? I have read a few posts about this, but none seem to talk about transfering the PLAYLISTS. I understand there is a manual method since the iPOD is essentially viewed as a hard drive by a windows based machine/PC and there are third party applications to provide a more automated process.
So can playlists be transferred? If so how? Or will i need to recreate all my playlists? It is not the end of world, rather just tedious. Are there any "gotchas"?
    Thanx

I also have a similar problem. Lap top crashed - new lap top have VISTA (I know...).
Using my ipod as a external hard drive - I have loaded all the tunes onto a new folder on the desk top. I then loaded all the files into the itunes library and have upload them on the new itunes on the new lap top - all good. They are now on the new itunes library and my ipod
However NONE of my purchased items have been transfered. Issue is that the files on the Desktop folder will not show which are purchesed and which are imported from CD - how do I find and then transfer my purchased songs...
    Thanks
