Got new L925 today but just cannot figure it out how to transfer applications which I have bought to my old L800. Anyone solved this?

The iCloud data will be on the new computer as soon as you download the iCloud control panel and sign into iCloud with your iCloud ID. What you see in iCloud is stored in iCloud, so it really doesn't matter what computer you are on. Once that computer is signed onto iCloud and the iCloud options are selected, you have full access to all of that information, and much of it is pushed back to your computer.
If you are referring to the data in an iCloud backup created by an iOS device, then that is not something that would be on a computer at all.

Here is the way about how to transfer apps from iPhone to iTunes.
1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes.
2. Make sure that iTunes is authorized and you are logged into your account. From the top menu choose Store -> Sign In. To authorize the computer for use with your account select Store -> Authorize This Computer.
3. From the left menu under DEVICES right-click on the name of your iPhone (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) to display the shortcut menu.
4. Choose the Transfer Purchases from iPhone option.

I'm trying to move data/restore my new ATT 5 from my old 3G. I had to use iTunes and I followed the directions in the link a couple posts above, but I never got the option at step 5 to "restore from a Backup". instead I got a confirmation page that xxx-xxx-xxxx was my phone number. i said yes.
how do i restore from the old 3G now? (one point the 3g was running ios 5.1.1, not sure if that matters).

Ideally you would copy over the entire iTunes library, otherwise you will be prompted to erase and reload the media. See Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy for a tool you can use to backup the library on the old computer, restore it to the new one, and then use to keep an up to date backup in future.

I will soon be getting a MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core i5 with Snow Leopard and want to transfer my Address Book from my old 2003 iMac flat 15" panel running 10.4.11. What is the best way to do that? Or can I use my Mobile Me Backup that is on my external drive (or on CD) to do it even though the Backup on the new computer would be a newer version from the older Backup that has the data? When I bought my new MacBook Pro, the sales person showed me how to do the V-card method that you suggested. I tried it at home, and it worked. I have been worrying for years about the best way to do this, so was very relieved to find such a simple method. David Pogue in the Tiger Missing Manual also mentioned another tip which I used: he said to select all the address entries you want to transfer (in my case it was all of them) and then just drag the whole lot out onto the desktop. A V-card icon appeared that said: "Name of Person plus 344 others". I then copied that to a flash drive and then onto the new computer desktop. I then dragged it into the Address Book window. As you said it was done in a matter of seconds. Thank you so much!

Copy it to an external drive or over a network. Any rented movies moved through these methods won't play on the new computer.
Alternatively, connect the iPhone to the new computer and use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes. Movies rented from the old computer will transfer and play.

I would recommend starting over this time using Setup Assistant. Because you are migrating from a PPC machine I would migrate everything EXCEPT applications. You should manually install your apps, this will give you the opportunity to udate the ones that need it and I'm sure there are many. You may even apps that won't run on Intel based machines so why migrate them at all? You can use the Setup Assistant tips beginning at "Second chance...." You can either restore from your old machine or from one of it's backups. I think you'll see it's a pretty clean process, something you passed over (I'm not sure why) when you turned on the new iMac for the first time.

Transfer all purchases (this should transfer all the pdfs and books) from the old iPad to iTunes using the USB cable. If you have any new purchases on your new iPad do the same with that. You can then use iTunes to sync any apps, books, pdfs, music etc to the new iPad.

Because there is nothing in iTunes to deal with this, no need to be.
Use the Windows Easy File Transfer utility to move all your data.
Or simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
