How to transfer logic pro to a new computer

I have Logic Pro installed on 2 MBP's. I want to move one copy to a different MBP. How do i transfer Logic and it's license over to my new computer?

Just reinstall=ing Logic never seems to do much and is considered basically a waste of time in almost every case...
So.. while the following is a PITA.. it's the most reliable method to get everything up and running on a new Mac....
1) Reformat the System drive and install OS X using the Recovery partition...
Restart Mac (and when the gray screen appears), hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys.
Note: Dont simply reinstall OS X... Use the menu option to get to the Disk Utility... and reformat System Drive...Then install OS X..
2) Install Logic Pro 9 Update only.... It will ask for both your LP8 and then LP9 serials so enter them...
3) Update LP9 to 9.1.8 using this link...
Logic Pro 9.1.8
4) Test LP9 to ensure its all working
5) Install the latest Audio/Midi drivers if needed..
6) Test LP9 again....
7) Install Kontakt (latest version) or Komplete if that's what you have... and update via NI's Service Center
8) Test LP9 and Kontakt...
9) Now install anything else you use...
(10) Manually copy across all personal data, projects/photos/docs etc.. from old Mac via external HD or Thumb drive...
Dont use Migration..........

you can use home sharing.
or, assuming you have all your media files in the default location, copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music or media folder) from the old to the exact same location on the new machine.
you can either use your network or an external HD for that.

I've checked your account using the same email address that you use in the forums, and I don't see any order history. I do see that you've registered a copy of Photoshop, but don't see that you've registered Acrobat.
If you purchased an Acrobat subscription, your Adobe ID/email address serves as validation, so it's possible that you purchased your subscription using a different Adobe ID/email address.
If you purchased a perpetual version, then you will need a serial number to install. Please see Find your serial number quickly.
You can download Acrobat Pro from this page: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X. But you'll need either a valid subscription or serial number to activate your software.

From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Hi, so I've got Logic Pro X installed on two machines, on one I've recently downloaded the 30 odd GB of additional content. Needless to say I don't really want to do it all over again for the other machine.
Is it possible to just copy the content onto the new machine, and if so, which ones do I copy?

You can.. but you don't want to as it can cause more issues that take more time to resolve than it saves... and in the end you will probably have to download and install all the content anyhow.. so do it the correct way in the first place and save yourself a bunch of possible trouble and time trying to fix it later....

If you bought LP 9 from the App store you can download it again from Itunes.
If is came on discs, then you must reinstall it. Using migration assistant will not always work.

If you have the original 'Studio' installer dvd's, re-install from those, and download the necessary software updates

I am trying to find out how to transfer files, (Music, Videos, Ect.) from my iPad to a another computer. I lost all my files on my computer and it won't let me recover my files from my iPad and save them on my new install.

Honestly there is no real way unless these are items you have purchased from iTunes. There is an option to Transfer Purchases from iPad but these are only going to be Apps, Music, Videos, etc. that you purchased and downloaded from the App Store/iTunes (you can also do the same by just opening up iTunes on your computer, going to iTunes Store, then going to Purchases, and downloading your purchases).
If they are files that you haven't purchased through the App Store/iTunes then you won't be able to transfer those back to your computer.

Oh my gosh, same problem! I'm so mad because I spent so much time (and money for that matter) downloading everything onto my iPod. Then my hard drive crashed and I hadn't had a chance yet to copy everything. So irritated that I just lost everything. I feel for you. Unfortunately I'll have to go back through and do it all again.
