How to transfer music from my iTunes on my laptop to my phone?

I just bought the phone and when I connect it to my laptop it seems to be synchronizing after I have copied the files from itunes to the Droid, but after it still tells me there is no music found?????  I need step by step on how to transfer the music over.
Thanks.

Remember the HTC Droid Incredible 2 comes with a 16GB SD card inside your phone.  Open up your phone and take it out.
This sd card holds loads of information.  You will need a SD card reader (sold separately) to plug the 16GB SD card into your computer.
Here is what you need to do:
 1) Take the SDcard out of your Droid X and then plug theSD card into the reader, which must be inserted into your computer port.  It looks like a mini USB adapter.  (I don't know if Verizon sells them separately, but one comes with the sd card when you purchase a sd 32GB card or smaller at the Verizonwireless store.
 2) Click on My Computer then right click Removable software and click on Open.  Click New folder on top to name your folder (ex. music, video etc).  Once this is open then Open up Itunes.
 3) In Itunes you can drag over any Song or Video you want and place it into the removable folder.    Caution:  some of the videos might not work.
 4) When you are finished go back to the sd card folder by hitting the back button on left top.  Then Right Click removable hardware and then click Eject.  (For the Videos you will have to open up the GALLERY APP on youe cell phone and for music open Music on your cell phone).
  5) Remove SD card and place back into the HTC Droid Incredible 2.
  6) Click on the Music App and open it up.
Here you can set the music as a RINGTONE.   Click the song you want.  Then click = button chose contact or phone ringtone. You can do this for each song.  They will go to your Ringtone list.

  • HT2688 how to transfer music from my itunes account to my husbands new iphone

I have an existing itunes account which my husband had purchased music on and now he has a new iphone and, of course, his own itunes account.  I have synced but have only managed to download all his apps to my computer...but he still has no music.  I have turned on the home share but still hasn't worked.  when I've looked online for assistance it says to "turn on the settings for iphone>settings>ipod... well has has no ipod (other than nike + ipod), so I went to settings>music>and signed in to home sharing with his own account ID and PW.... any body have a solution?

    I'm confused.
You don't transfer music from an iTunes account. You transfer it from an iTunes library. Plug in the phone and sync it.

    Okay.
I have synced but have only managed to download all his apps to my computer...but he still has no music.
You have sync'd your iPhone or his iPhone?
I have turned on the home share but still hasn't worked
Are you trying to Home Share between different computers?
Or between iTunes libraries on the same computer?
Are you using the same computer? Different computers?
Are you using the same computer login or do you each have your own?
If he purchased music previously on your account, is this music in your iTunes library? His iTunes library? Is there only one iTunes library?

  • How to transfer music from one itunes account to another on the same computer

How do I transfer iTunes music to another comp account on the same comp. I have Windows 7 and I made my own Windows account. all of my music is on the iTunes on the other admin. account. So how do i transfer all of my stuff on iTunes to my own account? I've tried going into Preferences then advance but that's not doing anything. I signed into my account on iTunes but that didn't seem to help. Please give me something simple and not too long. I'm trying to do this as quick as possible lol. thanks in advance!
I'm running the lastest iTunes. I just upgraded it today.

Move the music files or the entire iTunes library to a shared folder.
If you moved individual files, open iTunes from the desired account and drag them to the library in the iTunes application window.
If you moved the entire library, launch iTunes with the Shift key held down and choose that instance of it.

  • How to transfer music from 1 itunes library to another

hello, i need help both my dada and i have 30gb ipod videos. He has some music on his ipod that i want to put on mine. how do i do that. My teacher says to create a new playlist, and then drag the files into my library.
    tahnks

Your teacher doesn't know all the complications (why would you ask your teacher?). If you have no music on your iPod at all, then just connect your iPod to his computer, check off the songs you want, connect your iPod, and change its settings so that it will only add checked songs (you may have to update it twice). If you do have music on your iPod, you'll have to add the songs of his you want on your iPod to your own iTunes library/playlist (considering all the songs already on your iPod are on that playlist). If you'd like to put his songs onto your PC via his iPod, you can use PodUtil (google it) to rip his songs, and put them on your PC. Good luck.

  • How to transfer music from iphone/ipad to new laptop?

The laptop that I originally used to register and sync my iphone and ipad is gone.  How do I transfer my music into iTunes on the new computer and using the new one to sync?

"The problem is that there is no old computer-it has crashed and cannot be turned on to access anything. "
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very reason. Have you failed to do this?
" I don't know how to get all of my music that is on my ipad and iphone, into iTunes on the new computer..."
You can only get itunes purchases as I told you in the first post.
You may be able to buy a third party program ( not supported by Apple) to get the other music.

How do I transfer music from my itunes playlist to my iphone?

Maddening!!!!! What used to work now doesn't!
Where did simple drag and drop go? Apple invented it!
I have an iPhone 5s and want to transfer Playlists from my desktop iMac to the iPhone. I have had these products since their first releases years ago. I am a computer power user. What used to be a simpe "drag and drop" of your Playlist (yes, in Column View which I have turned on now) to your iPhone was easy and you were set. It is now impossible to do. Or easily!
There are been other posts on this. I have tried them all. None work or the explanations are not adequate.
WHY IS THIS SAME **** HARD WHEN IT USED TO BE DRAG AND DROP?
PS: Fire the iTune Product Manager who did this version..get Jony Ive on the case to fix the User Interface Design ASAP!

  • How do I transfer music from my itunes library  to my wife's on the same computer?

How do I transfer music from my itunes library to my wife's on the same computer? I am trying to put the music that is on my phone on her phone.

Has she transferred iTunes content to her iPhone from an iTunes library on another computer or from a different iTunes library on the same computer?
If not, you transfer music to her iPhone from your iTunes library in the same way the music was transferred to your iPhone. If she has any iTunes content on her iPhone that was transferred from a different iTunes library, all iTunes content on her iPhone will be erased first.
