Old shuffle was defective...apple sent a new one...now need to transfer music from old shuffle to new one. Please help. Apple support says.....can't be done....but...go to apple community and ask for help. HELP!!!!!!!

I replaced the iTunes folder on the new one with the iTunes folder from the old one but the music doesn't show up in the library. The 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffle can only be used with one iTunes library (not "account") at a time. Your Apple ID and password does not matter. (Later shuffles can be used with more than one iTunes library, IF it is set to use the Manually manage music option.)

the Apple id is already is in use. I deactivated it on old laptop. Can anybody help? When I plug the Touch
into the new laptop and try to sync, it says it will wipe out the songs on the Touch. Thanks!

install CCC on the old Mac,
connect the Macs with an ethernet cable,
enable file sharing on both Macs,
use "connect to server" (in Go menu) to mount the new Mac's drive on the old Mac.
run CCC.

You will need the help of some sort of 3rd party software to help you copy the content from your Shuffle back to your PC. Once you have done that, you can reimport this music into iTunes and configure it to sync to your new Shuffle.

And put it on a flash drive
