How to transfer music from one itunes account to another on the same computer

How do I transfer iTunes music to another comp account on the same comp. I have Windows 7 and I made my own Windows account. all of my music is on the iTunes on the other admin. account. So how do i transfer all of my stuff on iTunes to my own account? I've tried going into Preferences then advance but that's not doing anything. I signed into my account on iTunes but that didn't seem to help. Please give me something simple and not too long. I'm trying to do this as quick as possible lol. thanks in advance!
I'm running the lastest iTunes. I just upgraded it today.

Move the music files or the entire iTunes library to a shared folder.
If you moved individual files, open iTunes from the desired account and drag them to the library in the iTunes application window.
If you moved the entire library, launch iTunes with the Shift key held down and choose that instance of it.

  • Transfer music from one user account to another on the SAME mac?

My family (wife, son, daughter, and me) share an imac but we all have our own user accounts. Our entire itunes music library is in one user account and is getting to the point of being unmanageable.
Can I move some of my itunes library (e.g., my son's music) to another user account on the same iMac? Some songs were imported from CD and others were purchased from my Apple ID number.
It's my understanding that an ipod can only be synced with one itunes library at a time, but I thought Apple also restricted the usage of music bought from itunes to a finite number of computers. If this is true, I think I would be able to transfer a group of songs from one user account to another so long as the user accounts were on the same computer.
I was told that I could just drag the songs into a shared folder and then log into his account and drop them in iTunes.
    Some specific questions:
    1) Can I move all music files (CD and purchased) to the shared folder for dropping into his account?
2)The purchased ones were purchased under MY apple ID which I do not want to give him access to. Should I create one for him or just have him use mine and wait for my password. I would like to put an allowance on his new ID number and keep it separate from mine. Would that make a difference in the future if I wanted to use one of his songs on my iPod or in an iMovie project?
I just reinstalled my Lepoard OS X and put all my data back. I did not deauthorize anything before I did this. Did I need to? Or is even a clean install on the SAME machine ok and seen as the same authorization?
    Thanks in advance!!

You can give him copies of song files, either by using a shared folder, or by putting the copies on a USB flash drive from which he can copy them to his own iTunes library.
Any DRM-protected tracks that you have purchased from Apple can only be played if the user has authorization to the account(s) from which the tracks were purchased. Authorization requires physical access to the computer and knowledge of the password, and you can figure it from there!

  • Getting music from one iTunes account to another on the same iMac computer

I have a iMac and my family all use it. We all have our own profile/account logins. My daughter has her own iTunes account (but with my credit card) and i have my own itunes on my own login profile account with the same cc # and expiray date/etc.... She insists on having her own account and to have her own music on her own ipod touch. I have my own ipod touch. However, I want some of the music that is on her account on to my account (and thus my own ipod). I am the 'administrator'of the iMac.
I don't want to have to pay for the same songs/albums twice. My daughter doesn't understand this whole concept of saving money and paying for things more than once.
I also don't want to burn her music onto a CD and then import onto my account for several reasons: it is a hassle as well as i may not be able to have the cover art if i do it this way. Can anyone suggest what to do?

Log into her account and open iTunes.
Select the songs you want in iTunes, then drag them to \Users\yourusername\Public\Drop Box\.
Quit iTunes, log out of her account and back into your account.
    Open iTunes.
File -> Add to library and select \Users\yourusername\Public\Drop Box\.
Or move those files to \Music\iTunes\iTunes media\Automatically add to iTunes\ folder.

  • HT1711 can u transfer music from one itunes account to another if belonging to the same household

Can you transfer music from one itunes account to another if in the same household ??

You can give the person a copy of the song files, which they can then add to their iTunes library.

Is there a way I can move movies from one itunes library to another on the same computer?

Locate them in the Windows Explorer, move or copy those files as you would any other, and drag them into the open iTunes window when the second library is loaded. If you're using two iTunes libraries on one user account, you only need to locate the files; otherwise, they need to be put in a shared area.

If you mean iTunes Store accounts, no.

  • How to transfer purchase from one iTunes account to another

For a while I've been buying content through my mom's iTunes account, and just recently set up my own account. However I purchased a season of "Game of Thrones" while I was still using her account, and can only access the season through iCloud if I'm on her account. I was wondering if there was a way to still keep the purchase I made but switching it under another account (without having to buy it on the new account). The file of the purchase is on the same computer and will remain on the same computer, but just a different iTunes/iCloud user.

Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff if they'll switch it. They probably won't.

  • Is it possible to transfer music from one iTunes account to another?

I have a daughter who is still 14 months away from being 13 and so cannot have her own iTunes account. If I buy music for her under my account, can I later transfer it to her account when she is 13?? Any other idea on how to manage it?

Choose Consolidate Library from the Advanced menu in iTunes, confirm this action, open the Advanced section of the iTunes preferences, check the path for the iTunes library, and move the folder at that path to the corresponding location on the new computer, using any method necessary to transfer the data.

  • How to transfer music from one apple account to another

So, for some reason I couldn't get into my Apple account to sync my new ipod 5 and get my music on it, so I was going to transfer my music to a new account that I had just made. I was still logged in on my friends desktop, so I synced it and got almost all of my old music. So for the past 2 hours, I've been trying to get my music onto my laptop. I've tried copy and paste, moving it to a usb, clicking and dragging to the desktop, clicking and dragging to drop into the device, but I've got nothing. What do I do?!?! Please Help!!! D:

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

  • Can you transfer music from one iTunes account to another?

I want to make another apple ID but I don't want to lose all my old music.

Hmm.  I just discovered that quite some time ago I set up a second account.  Don't remember why, but just realized that some songs from my old account wouldn't sync to my new IPad.  Managed to get them synced by entering the old account ID (thank goodness it came up as a default).  But am wondering if there's any way to move those songs to my current ID.  I'm suspecting based on your first sentence above Roger that I can't.  That would really suck.  I know the next time I have to go through this process I will have forgotten that I have two IDs.

If they include a completely unspent gift card's balance, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put it back onto the card. Aside from this, it's not possible.

Can I transfer purchases from one itunes account to another, if so how

This forum is for questions from those managing sites on iTunes U, Apple's service for colleges and universities to post educational material in the iTunes Store. You'll be most likely to get help with this issue if you ask in the general iTunes forums.
Answering quickly, though, if you mean you want to transfer a purchase from one iTunes Store account to another, you cannot.
    Regards.

The apple account music you want to transfer >> go to itunes store and log into the apple account that you want music to be put on your ltunes library...sign in then after you sign in then look down on right hand side for the word "Purchased" and those are the accounts songs and you can download them for free.
Note that this does not change the iTunes account of these songs. This simply adds them to the iTunes library you are using.
Also note than once you do this, you will have to wait 90 days to redownload any iTunes purchases from any other iTunes account, including the original iTunes account.

    No it is not!

If you haven't spent any of it, the iTunes Store staff can put the balance back onto the card, which can then be redeemed into another account.
