How to transfer notes from iCloud to Iphone

Hi There,
So i've got a number of notes which have appeared under "iCloud" in my phone..
How can i transfer these to "On my device" while keeping the date and times consistent?

    Your other data (such as messages, your call history, etc.) and settings are stored in your backup, with the exception of email, which is stored on the email provider's server.  Restoring your backup would transfer your other data and settings.

    Go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign into your account and check Notes.  If you've already done this, open the Notes app and check to see what account(s) your notes belong to (on the left sidebar).  If they don't belong to the iCloud account, drag and drop them to the iCloud account to add them to iCloud.

    I have lots of Notes written in the Notes application on my iMac.
    All these Notes also appear in my iCloud Notes page via Safari. So far, so good.
    BUT if I want to sync Notes to my iPhone (iOS 7) my iPhone settings tells me iPhone Notes is default and that if I turn on Notes on iPhone all my iCloud Notes will be deleted.
    HOWEVER, I cannot see a way on my iPhone to set the default Notes to iCloud.
    I am unsure if this is a OSX question or an iOS question .. but it is a NOTES question.
    If you can help, it would be appreciated. Else I will ignore Notes on iPhone (as it seems from other Forums I cannot delete it).
    C'mon Apple .. you are losing the ease-of-use mojo.

    On your phone.  If you have Notes turned to On in Settings>iCloud, and also had notes on the phone prior to turning on this setting, you should have two accounts in the notes app: On My iPhone and iCloud (listed as your iCloud ID). 
    Did you have notes on your phone prior to turn on Notes in Settings>iCloud?  Is Notes turned to On in Settings>iCloud now?

    As it turns out, this is a laborious process. Apple could have simply put in option to Move under Notes (just as under Mail Box).
    In my case, I had iPhone 3GS (from 2009 pre iCloud) and just got a new iPhone 4S.
    Notes are split under Accounts:
    On My iPhone (3GS)
    iCloud
    After searching far, end up doing this.
    Open up each Note On My iPhone
    Select All
    Copy
    Go up to Accounts / switch to iCloud
    Open a new Note
    Paste
    Done
    Repeat for 114 times (in my case 114 Notes On My iPhone 3GS). Then open up Notes iPhone 4S, all show up.
