how to transfer notes from my mac to icloud?

Go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign into your account and check Notes.  If you've already done this, open the Notes app and check to see what account(s) your notes belong to (on the left sidebar).  If they don't belong to the iCloud account, drag and drop them to the iCloud account to add them to iCloud.

  • How to transfer Signatures from one Mac to another

In Mail, if I go to Preferences > Signatures, I see in the left column *All Signatures*, and signatures for various accounts.
How would I transfer the signatures in *All Signatures* from one Mac to another?
The names of files in the folder ~/Library/Mail/Signatures are all cryptic.
Moreover, since each signature is tied to a certain account, I don't think that I can just copy these files into the Signature folder of the 2nd Mac.

Simply moving these cryptic files did not work, in the sense that these signatures did not show up in the right-most column of the Signatures pane.
I made sure that I did not move the SignaturesByAccount.plist file in the ~/Library/Mail/Signatures folder.
So, would someone please share with me how to transfer signatures from one Mac to another, with both running Mail?

How to transfer  photos from a MAC to a USB external storage drive?

Just the Photos? Or the Library?
    If it's the Library:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

  • Please tell me where I can find information on how to transfer photos, from my mac, into an inserted SD disc.

PLease tell me how to transfer photos, on my mac, to an inserted SD disc.

    Katty 1,
if you meant transferring photos from your MacBook Pro to a SD card, note that all of the Retina MacBook Pros have a SDXC card slot. Thus, you would insert a SD card into the SDXC card slot, and an icon representing your SD card should appear on your desktop. You can then drag photos from your Mac to the SD card icon in the same way that you would drag an icon to copy to any other drive. The SD card icon should be dragged to the Trash (to “eject” it) before you remove the card from the slot.

  • How to transfer notes from iphone 3Gs to 4s

How do you transfer notes from 3Gs to 4s

As it turns out, this is a laborious process. Apple could have simply put in option to Move under Notes (just as under Mail Box).
In my case, I had iPhone 3GS (from 2009 pre iCloud) and just got a new iPhone 4S.
    Notes are split under Accounts:
    On My iPhone (3GS)
    iCloud
After searching far, end up doing this.
Open up each Note On My iPhone
    Select All
    Copy
Go up to Accounts / switch to iCloud
    Open a new Note
    Paste
    Done
Repeat for 114 times (in my case 114 Notes On My iPhone 3GS). Then open up Notes iPhone 4S, all show up.

  • How to merge notes from my mac to iPhone

I am trying to help my husband sync Notes from his Mac to his iPhone 5S. I think when he set up his new phone he clicked not to merge with iCloud and this might be the reason he can't sync his Notes. Is there a way to now allow the merge with iCloud for Mac/iPhone/iPad? I don't know how to pull up this option now. I am not very tech savy . .any suggestions/help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Where are your notes currently located? Perhaps they are in an email account such as Yahoo or GMail?

My iCloud account syncs all my new notes from my iPhone 4 to my mac, however I have over 200 notes on my iPhone that are labelled as "From My PC" I cannot find a way to sync those notes to my mac??

Below are methods for copying everything from one computer to another.  If you have some things on one and other things on another and want to integrate them, it gets really messy and you need to use more complex methods.

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music:  Copy the whole iTunes folder and all its subfolders and files intact to the other drive. If you already have an iTunes folder on that drive, you can replace it when copying as long as you don't care about the contents.

  • Not SURE HOW TO TRANSFER PHOTOS  FROM A "MAC CD" FOR USE A PC

I didn't expect a problem, but have run into one this weekend.
Looking thru old photos, I came across a photo disk from Ritz Camera containing pix from 2006. Wanted to pass along the pix (along with other photos and documents) to a friend who has a PC.
After burning all the data onto a fresh CD, I tested the disk on a PC and found all the other files could be opened except for the items from the original Ritz CD.
Those items included three separate folders, nested within a single fourth one.
The folders were labeled "Ritz Documentation" . . . "Preview" and "Pictures".
The last two appeared to contain identical JPG items, but I left them all intact.
I'm not particularly PC savvy, and the owner of the PC computer has departed, so I had to wing it on my own. The only thing close to a photo manipulation application I could find on the PC was Picassa, which located the disk and files in the CD drive and was able to read the three other individual items, but could only recognize the three Ritz files. When I clicked on them it said they were "invalid" documents.
Any idea on what I'm doing wrong?
I know the files were readable by the owner's previous PC in 2004, so assumed they would be now, as well. I also still can see clearly the copies I transfered to my Mac and did nothing to them, except drag the entire original folder from my Mac to the new CD.
If the files can't be copied this way, would it make any more sense to transfer all the files directly from the Ritz CD to the PC and add the other 3 files from the CD I created . . . then transfer them all to a new CD for burning?
Sounds convoluted and time consuming, but I need to complete this project today, so am ready to try anything.
    Any insight or suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Sory, I can't find the name of the MacUser who steered me onto the right path, but do think I remember thanking him via e-mail.
If I'm mistaken, thanks a bunch. I finally finished transferring all the photos onto a CD. Actually completed one project , which I was able to test on a PC.
Have run into a second, smaller one on the current project, which I I think I probably should post separately.

  • How to transfer music from my mac to iphone4s

How can i transfer music from my macbook pro to my iphone4s or vice versa?

    Well this is tricky...
I usually can answer questions like this even though I don't have a Mac on OSX lion.
When you get your phone out of the box you have to have it hocked up to a Mac have your Mac do all that for right then and then you never have to plug it in to your Mac again. Usually it's defaulted to auto sync when you set up the phone as a new device. Apple has instructions on the web somewhere.
If you are like me and use I cloud then you can't just do that wirelessly. Trust me it's not that big of a deal I mean you still have to be within 30 ft of your Mac you arent missing out!
You can change this under settings and say wifi sync and that should work if the networks all good.
I URGE YOU TO SEARCH APPLES OTHER PAGES FOR THIS BUT JUST SOME ADVICE BE A LITTLE MORE DESCIPTIVE... WHAT VERSON OF OSX ARE YOU RUNNING( OSX6 IS THE FIRST OPERATING SYSTEM TO SUPPORT IT AND THE ONLY OTHER ONE AT THE MOMENT BESIDES LION)
Btw to state the obvious you can just plug in your iPhone to your Mac via USB witch all macs have now. The iPhone came with a cable for it, it's white!

  • HT201593 How to transfer photos from a Mac to my iPhone via USB?

I know how to transfer photos iPhone --> Mac, bit I can't find instructions anywhere for transferring photos Mac --> iPhone, not via USB, which one would think is the fastest and safest alternative.
Running latest Yosemite, all apps up to date + iPhone up to date as well.
    Please advice

Sync the phone to iTunes. Configure iTunes sync for Photos to include the photos you want to transfer. Or you put your photos into iPhoto and simply sync from iPhoto as the source.

  • How do i sync my notes from my mac to iCloud?

    Hi there,
I've been trying to sync my notes between my iphone, ipad and macbook.  I'm able to sync them between my ipad, iphone and icloud, but I can't do it from my macbook.  That's really what the whole point of this exercise is - there are a lot of notes that I want to transfer from my mac to my ipad, but it's not working.
On my mac I'm currently using mountain lion OSX 10.8.5.  I've tried checking and unchecking notes in my mac system preferences in both icloud and gmail, to no avail......  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone'  or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

  • How-to transfer notes from Ipad to laptop

    Hi !
we are using an Ipad2 64gb and my wife has about 50 notes she would like to transfer to her laptop, I have no idea how to proceed.
    could someone help ?
    thanks
    Gwynian

Also, if you are running iOS 5 on your iPad 1, and you have previously enabled iCloud Notes sync your iPad 1 notes should be in your iCloud account. Simply enable iCloud Notes sync on your iPad 3 to trasnfer the notes.
If you havent't previously enabled iCloud Notes sync on your old iPad, you can transfer your iPad notes to your new iPad without needing to restore from backup using third party applications such as copytrans contacts
Simply run the program on your computer, connect your iPad and export your notes in text files to your coputer.
After that use the same tool to import the notes to your new iPad.

  • How to transfer Notes from iPad 1 to the New iPad (3)

Been using iPad 1 and have 221 Notes in the All Notes Account.
The Gmail Account shows 6 Notes.
The On My iPad Account shows 215.
Just got the New iPad today.
Could not transfer all the Notes over to the new device. No problems with  Contacts and Calender.
Only see 9 Notes in the All Notes Account.
    Gmail Account shows 6 Notes.
From My Mac Account also shows 6.
There is no On My iPad Account seen in the new device as in the iPad 1.
I do not understand all these !
Is there a way I can get all the Notes over to the new device ?
Appreciate advice as soon as possible.
    Thanking all in advance !

Currently using iTunes on a pc to backup iPad 1.
Perfect! That makes it very easy. When you get the new iPad and you connect the iPad to your PC - you will be given the option to set up as new or to restore from the backup of the other iPad. Restore from that backup and then sync with iTunes to load all of the apps, photos, movies, music, TV shows - the contents of your iTunes library - to the new iPad. then you should be good to go.
Continue to backup on a regular basis until you get the new iPad - and you might want to backup one last time just before you set up the new iPad so it will be absolutely current.
