Manually configuring Mail
Note: You should make note of your email settings--see the cheat sheet below. Contact your email service vendor and note all of the details needed to fill in your settings. During the setup process, you will need these details to complete the setup process. You can either print the sheet and write on it, or paste it into a text document and fill it in on your Mac. Keep the sheet for later reference in case you need it.
Open Mail (click it on the Dock or open it from the Applications folder).
If the "Welcome to Mail" assistant does not appear, choose Add Account from the File menu.
Fill in the Full Name, Email address, and Password fields.
Note: Your email account password will be stored in Keychain to allow you to automatically log in to your email account when you open Mail.
Deselect "Automatically set up account" if it is enabled. Click Continue to proceed.
Choose the proper Account Type.
Give your account a useful description, such as "Anne's Gmail account" or "Juan's Yahoo! email account". It can be called whatever you want.
Enter your Incoming Mail Server, User Name and Password. Click Continue to proceed.
If prompted, enter your Incoming Mail Security settings. Click Continue to proceed.
For Outgoing Mail Server, a useful description such as "Gmail Outgoing Mail Server" or "Yahoo! Outgoing Mail Server".
Enter the Outgoing Mail Server details.
If necessary, select "Use Authentication" and enter your User Name and Password. Click Continue to proceed.
If prompted, enter your Outgoing Mail Security settings. Click Continue to proceed.
Verify your settings in the Account Summary. Check "Take account online". Click "Create" to complete the process.
After completing these steps you should be able to send and receive email via this account. If you can't send or receive email, contact your ISP for assistance (even if you don't use your ISP's email service), or visit any online help or support websites they offer. Have your email settings on hand to inform the ISP support of the needs of your email service provider.

How did you transfer from Outlook to TB? There are a couple of free programs that convert Outlook pst files to eml files, and the latter can be imported to TB with an add-on, or dragged from Explorer into a TB folder directly.

How to transfer user defined accounting fields from SRM to ECC ?

We are running SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0 with classic scenario.
We have defined Business entity filed account assignment tab in SRM SHC.
New fields are also defined in tables BBP_C_ACC_F and in BBP_C_ACCFD and added in the structure also INCL_EEW_PD_ACC_CSF. New fields are also defined in srpo accounting.
In R/3 the same field is already defined as it is standard one.
When I create PR or PO i entered the Business entity for the account assignment R i.e real estate.
However, when I order my shopping cart with values in new fields, the values are not transferred into backend.
Standard fields transfer nicely, but the user defined fields dont transfer.
Can any please let me know what we have to do for these user defined values to transfer to back end. We need to implement any BADI ?

I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac and can't seem to move the calendar items to the iCloud calendar. In addition, my iCal calendar doesn't even resemble either the iCloud calendar (virtually empty) or the Outlook calendar. How do I sync them all together? Also, I have over 3,000 duplicate calendar entries for some events and need to erase the duplicates.

Outlook itself won't work with iCloud, but if you are using Address Book, you simply need to move your contacts from the 'On My Mac' account to the iCloud account.

Tell us a little bit more about what version of Windows & Outlook you're using. And do you have more than one version of Microsoft Office installed (2003 and 2007, for example)?

How to transfer Outlook content on PC to iPhone?

I figured out how to sync iTunes on my desktop computer with my phone, but that doesn't do me any good because there isn't any content in iTunes. So how do I get my Outlook data into iTunes? Contacts are the most important thing, but I'm also interested in transferring my calendar and tasks.
By the way, I have no itention of transferring my Outlook content using iCloud, at least for now. I assume (hope) it can be done without iCloud.

I have completed these steps:
"- connect iphone to pc
- open itunes(if it does not open automatically)
- navigate to your iPhones summary page
- select the info tab(to the right of summary)"
It's not possible to complete the next step ("- select sync contacts and sync calendars") because there is nothing to "select" under Sync Contacts or Sync Calendars. Under Sync Contacts, there is this text: "Your contacts are being synced with your iPhone over the air. Over-the-air sync settings can be changed on your iPhone." The same message is under Sync Calendars.
I don't know if changing my over-the-air sync settings is the thing to do here, but at any rate it isn't possible for me to do that either: I combed through all the settings options on my phone, and didn't see anything like this.
Nor are there any sync seetings in iTunes that improve this situation.
Any ideas?

I recently bought a Mac and want to convert my "Notes" from Outlook (work PC) to my Mac. I do not want to use Paralles, ideally i just want to run the info under "Mail" or any other program which works.
Any idea, how i can import this?

That is an easy task to get the contacts in Outlook on your PC to your iPad. To do that, plug your iPad in and open iTunes. Once there, you will want to click on your iPad that is in the row of icons for Music, Movies, and TV shows. You will then get a list of items to sync and for your specific area you will want to go to the Info tab. You will then see an option for syncing Contacts and make sure that it is checked and Outlook as where the contacts are coming from. Can anyone explain to me how to transfer e-mails from Mac Mail to Microsoft Outlook?

I just went the other way - Outlook to Thunderbird to Mac Mail. I lost some notes in some folders.
My fall back position was to set up an IMAP account and use Google sync to Outlook to move my mail into a Google account. Then on the Mac I set up a IMAP account to download all the mail. Once I had it on the Mac, I copied the IMAP folders into Personal folders on Local Machine. I then deleted the IMAP account and reverted to using my 'usual accounts'.

Bought my husband a ipod for Christmas. I have had one for awhile so I have many songs from itunes and CD's on my account. I have figured out how to transfer my paid songs from itunes to "his" itunes account, but I do not know how to get my CD's that I have downloaded. Although it would double up your drive space use, you can always go into the iTunes music folder and copy Artist folders, album folders, or individual tracks to your shared folder and then he can import them to his iTunes.
Or he can set his iPod up for manual updating and simply plug his iPod in when under your account and load whatever songs he wants from your library into his iPod. See below for more details...
