How to transfer photo back to iphone camera roll?

I accidentally click delete after import while importing photo from iPhone to iPhoto. All photos in my iPhone's camera roll were gone.
I have tried to sync photo back to iPhone but it only created a new folder rather than putting photo back to camera roll.
Is there any way to transfer photos to camera roll folder?

You don't - not without a paid 3rd party utility.
All photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process are optimized for viewing on the iPhone - the original resolution is reduced, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
Transfer the photos from your previous computer to your new computer from your computer's backup along with all other important data.

The only photos that can be imported, are photos in your camera roll. Read here:

How can I get all of the photos from my iPhone Camera Roll onto my iPad3?  Both are running OS 5x and 6x.  Thank you -

    Hey David152,
Thanks for the question. First, you’ll want to import the photos to your personal computer:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
After doing so, you can then sync the photos over to your iPad:
iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes

Also, you can enable Photo Stream so that new photos taken with your iPhone will automatically appear on your iPad. For more information regarding Photo Stream, see this resource:

  • How to transfer photos taken with iPhone 4s on to my iPad 2

I have a iPhone 4s and ipad 2.i want to transfer photos taken in iPhone to iPad. How to do it?icloud only transfers photos taken recently,,, not the old photos.can anyone help me

You can import the photos from your iPhone's Camera Roll with your computer as with any other digital camera followed by transferring the photos to your iPad via the iTunes sync/transfer process.
And/or you can purchase the iPad Camera Connection Kit which provides for importing photos from the iPhone's Camera Roll and from other digital cameras or from other digital camera storage cards.

  • There are photos on my iPhone camera roll that aren't mine. Has my security been compromised? How is this possible?

    Hi guys,
In the last week two photographs have appeared on my iPhone camera roll and the subsequently my photo stream, of which I have not taken or anyone else could not have possibly taken with my phone. The latest one, found this evening as my most recent photo, is of a man on an aeroplane.
I'm a bit spooked here for a couple of reasons:
    1. Have I been hacked and the photos are the least of my worries?
    2. Can this person/persons see my photographs?
I've used iPhoto on my mac to check the location of the photographs taken using the info facility; unfortunately the location is deemed 'unknown'.
I would love anyone's take on this and would appreciate someone from apple responding to this issue directly as it's clearly a potentially huge problem for iOS and mac users.
I've already taken the measure of changing my iCloud password but all the same would like some feedback here.
    Thanks all,
    Snoop84

I write on this topic because I have an almost same incident.
Back in 2009, and this is important because there was no icloud and photo streams at that time, I found on the camera roll of my iphone 3G photos that do not belong to me!
I try to clarify this, and everybody reacted as I was crazy or had no idea about computers, phones etc. I wrote in a technology forum and got similar reactions. In fact I am a more than average experienced pc and phone user. I could also guarantee that nobody touched my phone.
The only explanation I had is that the photos were transferred through a wireless network in a cafe on my phone through some strange leak. But they were indeed not mine.
There are more than 10 photos of a woman (pretty normal photos, bad quality selfies etc, no naked guys) of a guy making some measurements in an apartment, of an IKEA furtinure (probably for the apartment before) etc. etc. Pretty realistic photos, by no means downloaded from the internet.
And nothing to do with me!
I imported some of them in iPhoto and checked the location. Some of them were taken in Munich (where I live), one (of the new apartment) very close to the cafe I was connected and, interestingly, some (the selfies of the woman) in Palo Alto, CA.
I still do not know what that could be, I still have the photos but unfortunately not the phone anymore.
I would be more than happy to hear that there was this or the other leak at that time, but still haven't found any convincing answer on the internet.

  • How to copy photos from photostream to camera roll

How do I copy photos from Photostream to Camera Roll?

I have found the only way to put a picture back to the Camera Roll if you have already deleted it but its still in the Photo Stream is to edit the picture, even it doesn't need it. Then save it and it will save the edited picture to the camera roll. The original picture will stay unedited in the Photo Stream.  This is just my opinion and the only way I've found to make it work. If there is a better way, I am open to suggestions because this method is cumbersome.

  • How do I transfer photos from my Iphone camera to a PC

Sorry for the silly question but I cant find a way to transfer the photos I took on my iPhone to my PC.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
I'm having a similar issue. I have about 20 photos on my iPhone. I plugged in the iPhone (and made sure the option to sync photos was selected). After the sync, I ended up with about 20 FOLDERS only (no photos!) under My Pictures\iPhone. I'm not using Vista, I'm running Windows XP. I've synced it multiple times (since the first time) and am still unable to get the photos off.
I'm NOT yet trying to sync anything going FROM the computer to the iPhone, currently only trying to go FROM iPhone to computer.
I'm not sure how to find out whether my driver is not current or incorrect (as someone else mentioned).
Any help on the photos syncing would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Is it possible to transfer photos from (non-iPhone) camera to iPad?

I need a backup for my Sony point-and-shoot while travelling, but don't want to lug my MBP along just to download photos to it.  Is there any way (without Wi-Fi or internet connection) to connect my camera to the iPad and transfer photos?

There is the camera connection kit (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MjE4ODE2ODk) which comes with an SD card reader and a USB to micro-usb cable for connection to a camera for direct transfer of photos (I have seen some people say that it doesn't work with their camera so I can't guarantee that it will work with yours).
As it's a Sony I assume that it uses sony memory stick and not SD cards ? Some people have been able to use other card readers with the kit, but generally only powered readers work with it (and then not all of them) as the iPad does not provide enough power to the kit for most non-powered ones to work. If the camera has a micro-usb socket then you should be able to use that for direct transfer.
