Or you can restore your new phone from the backup of the old one, but only photos from the camera roll will be restored on your  new phone.

    If you still have the old laptop use iTunes on it to go to the File menu item Library > Back Up to Disc...
    You can use this to create a backup copy of your entire iTunes library and load it into the iTunes on your new computer.

    Normally you should be able to drag and drop them onto the drive, provided the drive is Mac formatted. Have you already tried that?
