How to transfer serial number from win to iOS

Hey guys,
I changed my workstation from windows-PC to iOS. The transfer of Library and data was quite easy. But when I enter my serial number I get the note: "Your serial number is not valid". What do I have to do, to transfer my serial from the old windows-PC to my Mac?
Thanks a lot for your help. Greetings from Germany,
barthberg

  • How to remove serial number from a PC?

    Hello,
I had previously activated some NI products on a PC using my serial number. Now, I'm transferring ownership of the PC to someone else, so I've deactivated the products. However, the serial number is still recorded somewhere in the PC: In the NI License Manager, when I select Activate -> Use a Web browser... it auto-fills the fields with my serial number.
How do I wipe this serial number from the PC?
    Thanks!

@uday: Yes, there are no more traces of the license files. I have NI License Manager 3.7. (But even though the license files are gone, my serial number remains)
@RavensFan: Because this is a brand new PC which forms part of a product I developed for a customer. I activated the Development versions of LabVIEW and TestStand for debugging purposes, just like this guy 5 years ago. Now I want to ship the system to the customer with LabVIEW RTE and the TestStand Base Deployment License in place, without undoing and redoing the work I've done on it.
Well, suppose I completely uninstall all NI software. I get the impression that if my customer decides to install their own copy of NI software on this PC, the first thing they'll see in the activation wizard is my serial number, which is stored somewhere in the PC. I'd like to find out where the serial number is stored, so that I can wipe it.

  • How to update Serial Number from Work Order to Sales order in MTO flow

    Helo Experts,
I have a requirement to update automatically the Serial number in Make to Order flow, from the Work order to the sales order and then to delivery.
In fact the flow is the following, when raising the sales order we don't know the SN, it will create a Work order with stock type E, when work order is released a Serial Number is assigned to the material created. After Goods receipt of WO, We need to have the SN updated in the sales order and then in the delivery.
I tried with the parameters of Serial number profile, i was not able to update from WO to Sales Order.
DO you have any idea how this requirement could be fullfiled? is it possible in standard?
    Thanks

I don't think that it is possible in standard.

  • How to transfer video files from win 8 to iPad Air

i am using itunes home sharing for this but I am unable to transfer.

    Hi Vishu Thakur,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand you want to move videos from your computer to your iPad Air and are trying to use Home Sharing to move the files. The process of moving files from your computer to your iPad is called syncing and would use iTunes to actually move the files from iTunes to the iPad. The article attached explains the process.

  • How to retrieve serial number from a SUN Fire V440

    Good afternoon,
In order to prepare a shipping of some machines, I am trying to collect serial numbers of all of them.
One of those is a V440.
Normally the way to retrieve the serial number is rebooting the machine, and then the serial number appears as one of the first outputs on screen.
However on this one machine I see "MACHINE_SN".
The ALOM of the machine does not know the command "showplatform".
Do you know whether there is another way to retrieve the serial number of a V440 machine?
    Thanks
    Dominique

Can I conclude that there is no way anymore to get the serial number of that machine? That would be correct.
The actual serial is only on that sticker unless someone installs and uses SNEEP to write the information to the prom of a system.
In your first post of this thread you mentioned seeing something named `serial` at bootup. That is only a representation of the systemboard's MAC address and isn't a chassis serial.
Was Explorer ever installed to that V440 by any chance? If "yes" then you might hope that the serial number information was manually entered during the installation of that software tool.
Now, having said all that, there were some model systems that had the chassis serial already written at the factory, but those were the bigger (expensive) midrange boxes such as the SF3800 through SF6900 models. That doesn't help you with your V440, though.

  • How to transfer service number from candidate to employee

    Hi experts,
I have a situation here that I really need suggestions. We created a process in here where when a candidate is hired via PA48 the information of medical exams created in EHSAMBTAET is transfered from the candidate to the employee via an user exit.
My problem is that the final user didn't follow the process and creates more than 2000 employee records via PA40 instead of PA48. So I have more than 2000 medical exams for candidates that were not transfered to the employee. Now the customer is asking to transfer these records.
In oder to do that I've thought about a program to load the records, but it would generate two problems:
    a) I would have two different service numbers for the same exam, because I would create a new service.
    b) I would have data in both employee and candidate records and all information woud be duplicated.
Does anybody have a situation like this and could give me any insights?
    Thanks in advance!
    Thais

    Hello Thais,
    I have a similar situation.
    How did you solve this?
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to Transfer the iPhone from one computer to another Win XP

    All
I got my wife a new macbook pro, running Windows XP prof. She has an iphone 3G with 16 GB memory running 3.0.1. So..she wanted to transfer the sync function from her PC to her macbook. Of course, Apple was of NO help at all (but did want to charge us $69.95 since her iphone is out of warranty, and this was an iphone not a mac problem, hmmm..). Took me lots of digging, but here is how you transfer you iphone from one computer to another:
    1. Move you itunes library from the old computer to the new one. To do this, you do NOT just copy it. This is as good a link to use as any to see how to do it, but search the internet and you can find instructions:
    http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-12519_7-10242259-49.html
    2. Transfer your applications you have purchased to the new computer. To do this, open itunes in the new computer, hook up your phone and click on File>transfer purchases (from itunes store) to computer. This will move your applications to the new computer.
    3. Export your MS outlook calendar, contacts, notes, etc. to the new computer by saving each of these categories as a PST file (file>export>then choose the category and type of file)...and then copy these PST files to your new computer and import them into MS outlook.
    4. Copy your playlists from itunes on your old computer to your new computer. This link may be helpful or search the internet again if you need to:
    http://osx.tribe.net/thread/08fd0e5e-f1d0-450b-8de5-9f7cb5bd278d
    5. Now...the important part...how to transfer all your settings from the iphone to the new computer....this is the part that was hard to find online, but finally got it: NOTE: THE BACKUP THAT ITUNES MAKES BACKS UP THE APPLICATION SETTINGS BUT NOT THE APPS SO THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO TRANSFER THE APPS TO THE NEW COMPUTER. The settings have all the data you put into your apps, email settings, preferences, etc...so its a huge time save to transfer these to the new computer also.
-Sync your iphone with your old computer to have a backup in case you mess up...in that case you can restore from your old computer and start over
-Plug your iphone into the new ocmputer and start itunes. It will detect your phone (I assume you have already authorized your new computer to use the library and playlists and apps that you moved)
-Right click on the "iphone" on the left bar...you will see a popup menu...click on "BACKUP". Let it backup your iphone to the new computer. It will NOT sync the phone
-When the backup is done....copy the backup file to a temp directory to be safe. The backup is located in "documents and settings">user name>applications>apple computer>mobile sync. If you cannot see it, you need to open windows explorer (not internet explorer) and go to tools>folder options>view and click on "show hidden files and folders" Note YOU CANNOT JUST COPY THE BACKUP FROM THE OLD COMPUTER TO THE NEW COMPUTER AS SUGGESTED ON SOME WEB SITES...THIS DOES NOT WORK, ITUNES WILL NOT IDENTIFY THE BACKUP EVEN IF YOU PUT IT IN THE FOLDER IN THE NEW COMPUTER THAT MIRRORS THE FOLDER LOCATION IN THE OLD COMPUTER.
-OK now you are ready...click restore on the iphone and restore the phone to factory settings. This will happen in a few minutes (10-15 mins).
-The phone will reboot and itunes will recognize the phone again...as a restored phone. It will then ask you if you want to restore it from the backup..say YES. You then need to go through all the itunes tabs and click on everything you want to sync to the phone (playlists, movies, podcasts, ringtones, etc). Once you are done going thru the tabs click "apply" and the sync will start. Go out, to a movie, to bed, whatever because it will take hours to sync.
-Once the sync is done...voila...your iphone has been moved with ALL the settings to the new computer. Check it. Then you can delete the backup you put into the temp folder if it is OK
    -Deauthorize your old computer
This worked for Win XP...should work for Vista. The whole process took many hours so don't rush through it (i'm guessing 12 hours total work).
