How to transfer .swf published to website?

Hi there,
I am a designer with zero code knowledge or experience. I have CS 4 Master Collection right now and am anxiously awaiting the CS 5 to start shipping. However I am evaluating as to whether I should jump ahead and buy flash catalyst now. This is largely predicated on whether or not I can start creating simple web-sites using FC simply and easily.
Please don't laugh too hard at my ignorance here:
I have created a simple interactive website in FC and published to .swf and end up with a folder that has deploy-to-web.
I just purchased a sample domain on godaddy for hosting. I know how to upload files. But I don't know how to take my .swf deploy-to-web and turn that into a working website.
Anyone care to help a newbie out?

You purchased the domain - did you also purchase hosting?
If so, you can go to godaddy.com, login and click on your hosted domain - there is a file transfer protocol there.
They make it simple - they give you the layout of your hosted site, as well as a box that lists the files on your computer. All you do is drag and drop:)

How to update a published Muse website on all browsers.

I've updated my Muse site, which works in safari but the updates are not made in chrome. How do I get all browsers to update my website? I'm using a mac and I've already tried inputing different "folder" options (i'm hosting with godaddy). Thank you.

If you update your site, its updated in all(!) browsers.
Perhaps Chromo still has outdated data in its cache. So please clear your browser cache.

I assume you mean that you are going to stop publishing at the URL he has been using and now publish at a new URL? If that is the case you will need to follow the procedure for transferring the iTunes Store to the new feed, as described here:

This requires you to have access to the old feed in order to add a tag to it. If you don't have access then you have a problem, and you may have to re-submit the podcast with a slightly different title.
However if you do change the feed URL iTunes will still see it as belonging to the original owner, so you may be better off re-submitting as if it were a new podcast, changing the title slightly (though you will lose subscribers, who will need to re-subscribe).
As to the actual copyright in the podcast, this is entirely a matter between you and the previous owner: a clearly written transfer of ownership should be fine.

Can this be done? I am new to working with Dreamweaver and would like to move my companies website (saved in CS5) onto the Cloud so it can be updated from other computers. I do not want to have to drive the office to work on the website. Any links to directions would be very helpfull!

To edit your website, you need the domain.sites file iWeb uses to store its assets.
You also need iWeb.
If the file is missing and you have no backup, you'll have to start from scratch.
Perhaps you still have the iLife install disks.

No, you should not use Dreamweaver. A good ftp program is Cyberduck.

You publish your site to a folder and then upload it with Cyberduck. I recommend you ask the IT Help desk of your university about how best to do this.

Usually it's done in the controlpanel where you manage your account.

How do I publish a website in two languages?

I'm pretty new to IWeb, I'm trying to publish my website in Spanish, and also in English. How do I do this without duplicating the buttons in the navigation bar? Say I want a flag to be the switch button, and then when I go to the Welcome page in the other language, I just want to see the navigation bar in that particular language.

One method is to create two pages of each page, one for your primary language and one for the second language. You can put small flag buttons on each page sending the visitor to the page which the flag represents.
When creating the pages you can use Language Switcher with iWeb to change languages when working on the pages.

When MobileMe goes down the drain, you will need to move your website to standard hosting. Depending on your site size, I recommend A Small Orange, as the Tiny hosting plan they have is big enough for most iWeb sites and much cheaper then shelling out $6 a month for most of the other big names, and if you check out their forum, several of the members have coupon codes in thier signatures. Also, their customer service is great and very fast in getting back to you.
To upload, I publish the iWeb site to a folder, then using Cyberduck upload it to the host. Cyberduck beats iWeb's FTP uploader because Cyberduck only replaces updated pages, instead of uploading the entire site.

How do you publish a website using iweb 09 with a moved mobile me account , when using icloud. I can't use mobile me.

Here's what you need to do:
1 - purchase a domain name (you'll need one in order to publish your website to a commercial hosting service.
2 - obtain a hosting service to publish your site to.
3 - obtain the ftp address, username and password from Customer Support of your new hosting service.
4 - set iWeb to publish to an ftp server and enter the necessary information you received from Customer Support.
An alternative to #4 would be to publish your website to a folder on your hard drive and use a 3rd party ftp client like Cyberduck (free) or Transmit to upload the website file to the server.

Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:
