How to transfer tags from Elements to Bridge?

I have been using PSE 11 to organize and access my photos. I find that with both PSE and PSCC running at the same time everything slows down. I am going to try using Bridge instead of PSE and wonder how I can transfer the organizing tags from PSE to Bridge.

They should be in the preferences.dat file under %appdata%\Microsoft\OneNote\ (type or paste that into windows explorer and press enter to open the folder).

It depends...
If you are still on the same computer and OS, the Organizer in PSE11 (or PSE12) will be able to convert the old catalog to its own format, while keeping the old catalog unchanged.
If you are changing computer, drive or OS, the best method is via a full backup and restore:

How to Transfer collections from Bridge in CS5 to CS6? I tried to copy my collections to the new Bridge but for some reason I do not see an option. On a Mac both the keyword file and collections are stored in the user library (by default hidden in OSX lion) in the user account.
The path on Mac:
user / library / Application Support / Adobe. Inhere you should see both Bridge CS5 and bridge CS6 if you have upgraded while the older system is still on your system.
In Bridge CS5 you see several folders and files. The keyword file that has all your in CS5 created keywords is called 'Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml' and the folder called Collections should have all your saved collections in it.
You can copy the keyword file to the same location in CS6 and also the content of the collections folder can be copied to the CS6 folder.
After restarting Bridge CS6 they should reflect the correct collections and keywords.
Don't know the path on Windows but it might be similar.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Transfer Photos from Elements 4 on Windows XP to Lightroom on a new Mac

Can I transfer photos including the metadata and tags from Elements 4 (windows XP) to a Mac running the
Maverick OS and Lightroom. If so what is the best process.

There is no real path at this time to upgrade a PSE 4 catalog to a Lightroom catalog. Existing versions of Lightroom allow upgrades of PSE 6 through PSE 11 catalogs.
The best you can do is have PSE 4 write the metadata to the photo files, and then import the photos into Lightroom. You will lose certain items in the PSE 4 catalog such as version sets, stacks, collections, notes and possibly a few other things. Your tags should be transferred (although even with tags there are some bugs)
Another option is to convert the PSE 4 catalog to a PSE 12 catalog (using the 30-day free trial of PSE 12) and then wait until LR supports conversion of PSE 12 catalogs, in which case you would not lose the aforementioned items (except notes still will not transfer)

the whole process depends on a number of factors, but generally takes more than 10 minutes and less than 2 hours. the biggest factor is your download speed if you need to download the installation file(s).

I just got a new iPod, and I did what I normally do to get my pictures onto it- go into itunes, go into my pictures, and apply it. This time, however, not all of the pictures got transferred. I think it would be easier to have all my pictures on my laptop, but I do not know how to transfer them from one computer to another. How can I do this?

If they are synced photos just copy the folders with the photos to the new computer. Synced photos are not associated with iTunes or the iTunes library.

How to transfer Signatures from one Mac to another

In Mail, if I go to Preferences > Signatures, I see in the left column *All Signatures*, and signatures for various accounts.
How would I transfer the signatures in *All Signatures* from one Mac to another?
The names of files in the folder ~/Library/Mail/Signatures are all cryptic.
Moreover, since each signature is tied to a certain account, I don't think that I can just copy these files into the Signature folder of the 2nd Mac.

Simply moving these cryptic files did not work, in the sense that these signatures did not show up in the right-most column of the Signatures pane.
I made sure that I did not move the SignaturesByAccount.plist file in the ~/Library/Mail/Signatures folder.
So, would someone please share with me how to transfer signatures from one Mac to another, with both running Mail?
