How to Customize the Standard UWL component

Hello Experts,
We have a requirement to customize the standard UWL component.
But I am not sure how to get standard UWL source code in NWDS and how to create a custom DC from the standard component with different namespace.
Can anyone please guide me how to achieve this requirement?

Thanks for you input.
But we have no option except to go with this customization of UWL; we are in middle of SAP upgrade (NW 7.01 SP07).
Previously we were in NW 7.0 SP10) and that time we were customized the UWL component.
But after upgrade it is not allowing us to deploy the old UWL custom component.
Therefore we have decided to customize the UWL component again with current version.
Now for NW 7.01 SP07 SAP is not providing the source code(SRC>ZIP) for UWLJWF.sac file. But we are able to get the source code for NW 7.01 SP00.
Now we have successfully able to build and deploy a local DC from the SRC.ZIP file from UWLJWF.sac of NW 7.01 SP00.
Then we have created an iview and call the UWL Substitution Application from the custom UWL DC. But when we checked in the UWL Substitution screen we get few issue:
1.     In the UWL Substitution screen there is not text available for any of the button.
2.     When we clicked on first button (should be Create Rule button, though no text available for our case) we got an error message of incompatibility, below is the error:

How to print a standard text of 3 pages in the script output?

Hi all,
I want to print a standard text as an include in the script output.
But the standrad text is of 3 pages conataining continuous (some terms and condtitions) text.
But while executing driver program, I am getting a STOP messgae pop-up saying 'Output is continuous or contains too many pages (>4)'.
How to get the standard text of 3 pages in the output. The standard text is to be printed at the bottom of the output.

Hi ,
To display standard texts you have to create a include in your script below is the syntax for that:
INCLUDE name OBJECT name ID name PARAGRAPH name LANGUAGE   name
Include command is used to include standard text in a form.the text
should be already defined by using transaction SO10.
Here name is the name of text
ID is used to classify text e.g. SDVD (SD related text) , ST (Standard text)
OBJECT is used to specify type of object it an be TEXT , DOKU
LANGUAGE is used to specify language like EN ,if ommited than logon
language is used
PARAGRAPH is used to specify the paragraph like C
e.g. /:INCLUDE mytext OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN
         Here the standard text created in SO10 with name mytext is
         included in the form in language EN (English)

How to add "ATTACHMENTS" assignment block in standard component ERP_H

Dear All,
I have a requirement where i have to add the "Attachments" assignment block to standard component "ERP_H". I have taken following steps so far and i am able to display the view in the component ERP_H, however no funtionality has been defined.
I created a component usage of component "GS_CM" in the runtime repository of component ERP_H
and now i am able to display the assignment block in the overview page of component ERP_H
Now i have to create a custom controller and here is where the problem lies. When i try to create a custom controller, it asks for a BOL Entity, and in order to have the same BOL entity as in component GS_CM, i have to add Model "CM" to the runtime repository of component ERP_H, however i m not able to add Model CM in the runtime repository of component ERP_H unabling me to create the custom controller.
Any pointers would help, if there is any other way to create custom controller instead of adding bol component in the runtime repository.

U can't define a standard text in a SAPScript, you call call it only by statament INCLUDE
/: INCLUDE <ST TEXT NAME> OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE <LANGUAGE>
U can define it by trx SO10.
If you need to know the text without to print it, you need to use a routine where u can use the fm READ_TEXT in order to find out the text.

Take BP_HEAD as an example and its overview page view.
BP head overview page will display view with in the same component and views from other component (say BP_ROLE).
1) for the BP_ROLE first interface component has to be defined
2) the interface component defined for BP_ROLE will be used as Component usage in BP_HEAD component (pls check the runtime repository)
3) Create a view of type overview page and assign views to overview page.
4) this overview page will be assigned to window.
Components will interact through component interface and component usage

You can do it as below
Approach1:
Enhance the view , use, post exit of WDDOMODIFYVIEW( ) and set the visible property of button as below
lo_btn->set_visible( cl_wd_button=>e_visible-none ).
Aproach2:
Enhance the view
Go to the button ( ui element tree ) and right click and chose the "Remove Element" as below
Note: you can undo the element deletion if required
Approach3:
use the personalization/customization either by using admin mode or application configuration.

I'm trying to use the uix:shuttle component and dynamically set each option based off of values retrieved from the database. I'm using a java bean to grab a RowSet, which I will loop through to set my values for the leading and trailing values of the shuttle.

UIX choice component event handling

Hi, I am using UIX in JDEV 10G. My page has a few dependent uix choice components on it. The first choice populates the second choice box and so on. I am using primaryClientActions to handle firing the event of populating the choice box. Below is the EventHandler for the fired event. I have a viewObject and AppModule. I set the where clause on the viewobject with the parameters from the previous choice selection. My question is: How do I get my query results back to my UIX choice component. I thought if I called executequery() it would update the view Objects query and update my page, but I think I am missing a step.

UIX standard validation hook

Hello all,
I have a need to invoke the UIX standard javascript validations, on the click of a button. This button should not submit the form though. Any ideas on how to achieve this.

The javascript handlers that you code into elements, gets chained to the ones that UIX generates. ASFIK, there is no documented way from UIX for doing this, so don't take my word for the following workaround I came across.
You could use some javascript magic with the 'onSubmit' attribute of the form and 'onClick' of the submitButton and try out.

To fetch data from a standard component through Component Controller

Hi,
I have a requirement in which i have to access and display a standard view of a standard component in a Custom Component.
I am able to display or configure that view on Custom Component by using Component Usage and Component Interface. But unable to populate the data in that view. Although i have exposed a context node in the standard component and created the same context node in my custom component in the Component Controller and using its method WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE to bind them.Please, provide some pointers on it.

Hi Sharad,
The data will show up only if you put them there. May be the standard component itself gets the data from some where else. Usually, these data are provided by the component controller. For example, the component controller contains the header entity and the used component has access to the header entity via binding and shows all item entries fetched via relations(usually this is done in on_new_focus method). If the binding is there, but no data ia available, it will stay empty.
Check a standard main component which uses the standard component that you are using and look at how they are establishing the connections.( component/custom controller bindings, on_new_focus methods,,)

Error while enhancing standard component CRMCMP_CND

Hi,
We have one requirement that Phase Id and Offer Id needs to added in the /SAPCND/GCM transaction and the same needs to be disaplay in the web ui. So we added two fields in field catalog after that we made two implementation in /SAPCND/ROLLNAME and CRM_COND_COM_BADI.
Now the funtionality is working fine in the GUI and in WEBUI the field is added but the F4 value is not visible in the new web ui screen.
So I tried to enhance the standard component CRMCMP_CND, in order to retreive the F4 value help. While selecting the context node in the standard view CondRecEditView we are getting the status message u201CError during analysis of method REATE_CONDRECORD of class L_CRMCMP_C_CONDRECEDITV0_CTXT. Message no. BSP_WD_TOOLS031u201D
In standard view itself I am getting this error and while enhancing the component the context node is not converted in to Zclass.
If we try to add attribute from the context node its giving error create_condrecord does not exist error.
So I am unable to proceed further. If any one aware how to solve this issue kindly let me know.

While enhancing a view of a component only the controller (xx_IMPL) and the context class (xx_CTXT) are extended into Z classes. Context nodes (xx_CNXX) are not automatically extended. You have to do it manually only for the context node(s) you would like to modify. Indeed there is a message that appears when you select the context node but this is not the reason why the CN class is not extended.
What you have to do is to redefine the method CREATE_CONDRECORD in class ZL_CRMCMP_C_CONDRECEDITV0_CTXT and create a new class ZL_CRMCMP_C_CONDRECEDITV0_CN00 that extends CL_CRMCMP_C_CONDRECEDITV0_CN00
In ZL_CRMCMP_C_CONDRECEDITV0_CN00 implement method GET_V_xx for the field you want a search help on
