How to transmit color proofs and other settings without activation?
Hallo!
I crashed my computer weeks ago and installed PS CS2 at a new system with a new activation (earlier activations have been made because of hard disc changes)
The activation was ok but when I tried to load my color proofs made at the first computer I was asked to make a new activation.
Is there any possibility to use the proofs without a next activation? (I´m not sure if I have a new one left)

Your situation would be a good one to call Adobe Tech Support (installation issues are free). They can tell you how many activations you have, and help you get up and running.

Yes, the Kin TwoM will work on wifi without activating the service. Before activating mine, I was able to use web browsing and email for about a week on wifi. I didn't try out the Zune software until later, though I don't think that would be affected either.
However, I did start getting automated txt msgs from verizon warning that I would be in violation of the 2 year discount/aggrement (and be charged full price of the phone) unless I activated the Kin on my number. I went ahead and activated the Kin at that time.
At present, I could not find anything to that wording in the fine print agreement, and I don't think there would be any problem porting my number back to my old phone, but beware that you may have to activate the Kin once then transfer your number back to your old phone. -
I can't figure out how to move my bookmarks and other settings from my old computer to my new one.
I recently bought a new HP 64 bit laptop. I am interested in transferring my Firefox profile from my old Dell computer to my new HP. The help instructions are clear about how you backup the prifile but if you copy the old file profile(C:\Documents and Settings\jgruetz\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles) into the new computer's C- Drive Firefox does not recognize the transferred file. In fact it hangs up and I had to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. The profile file name on the old computer is (sv0cbzeb.default) the file path on the new computer is (C:\Users\jgruetz\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\4w9161mx.default. I have tried everything I know to no avail. Help.
Copy the entire '''~\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\''' folder to the new PC. You need the '''profiles.ini''' file in addition to the \Profiles\ folder. The '''profiles.ini''' file is like the "gatekeeper" or "index" for the Profiles. If the exact Profile name isn't in that file, Firefox won't use that Profile - it doesn't "exist" as far as Firefox knows.

How do I transfer my MacBook Air to my wife so she can sync her iTunes account and other settings with her iPad Mini?
You can change the account shortname to whatever you wish to use.
As you can see from my example above. Once you click on the Create User button a new account will be created.
She will need to get her own Apple ID setup so when she starts with iTunes she can open her own iTunes account unless you both want to share the use of the same Apple ID. This can create a bit of confusion if you have your own iPads or iPhones or iPods. As you have discovered it's pretty much one iDevice with one Apple ID.
As for the iTunes library that becomes a more complicated issue. -
I am trying to print a color photo on my MacBook Pro from iPhoto (not using Photoshop) using Epson 2200 printer, and everything I do in the Color Matching and Print Settings results in a photo with a pink cast to it. What am I doing wrong?
Have you checked the ink cartridges and made sure the nozzles are clear? Are you able to print from outside of iPhoto with the correct color?
Try the following: make temporary copy of the library and do the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

We need to provide the same functionality in 2013 programmatically for the user. We try ListViewWebPart class to use, but the resources of crud on the list were not available.
I Would like to how do I enable crud and other properties in ListViewWebPart or if there is another class that does it.

Can I share color profiles and distiller settings with all user accounts on my imac?
Everyone in our studio is on OSX 10.8.3 with adobe cs6 (not creativecliud version).
I have installed color settings and distiller settings on to the macs under the employees user profile.
All the machines also have a general user profile which anyone can use (setup mainly for use by freelancers).
Is there a space on the macs where i can install the color profiles and distiller settings so that all user accounts have them set up?
At the moment i am having to go into each user account on each machine and do it manually.
Also once i have installed distiller settings in one user account I can't install them on subsequent users.
I have tried placing the files in the
library/applicationsupport/adobe/color/
library/applicationsupport/adobe/adobepdf/settings
and
user/library/applicationsupport/adobe/color/
user/library/applicationsupport/adobe/adobepdf/settings
any help would be much appreciated.

Just log into her account and head directly to the To listen to another account's music files section and follow those instructions.

If these are purhased movies they are not stored in your iCloud account and cannot be deleted. They are stored in the iTunes store. What you are seeing are links to your previously purchased movies, allowing you to redownload them.
If you don't want to see these in the Videos app, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and turn Videos off under Show All. -
How to close Internet Explorer and other programs running on Windows?
In order for Flash Player to be installed or updated, any programs that use Flash Player must be closed. This includes Internet Explorer or other browsers, instant messengers, Skype, etc.
These programs may be running in the background, not as visible windows, but need to be closed anyway.
To close such programs use the Windows Task Manager. To start Task Manager, take any of the following actions:
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Task Manager.
Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
Once the Task Manager is running, select the Processes tab. On older Windows version you may need to click on the Process Name or Image Name header to sort the process names.
Now right-click on every process that the Flash Player installer needs to close (e.g. iexplore.exe), then select End Process.

Did all these things mentioned in this article, even did a system reset including erase data and other settings. iOS is up to date, still the iPad 2 display is not rotating.
This happened first a couple of weeks before, then I did a reset and it worked. Then after 2-3 days it happened again, I updated the iOS and it worked after that. Next time it happened, I tried all possible methods, including switching to software - rotation lock on/off. The hardware when turns to off/on, shows the correct icon on the screen of the lock and unlocked state. But the rotation is not happening.Just check again.
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If the iPad screen still will not rotate - turn it over and gently tap it on the back a couple of times - but gently tap it. Make sure that the screen is protected. -

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad into Recovery Mode

1 - the restore disks that came with the computer - if it came with CDs and you do not know where they are then contact Apple to see if they can be replaced

2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

Why does Lion KEEP reversing changes you make in address book and other applications without your consent and without wanting it to??? Plus address book will NOT import old address book contacts from Snow Lepoard 10.6 and keep them. This Lion OXS 7 is .. becoming very frustrating ... it will NOT keep changes made in the Address Book and it has destroyed my contacts which I only have electronically since 10.4 in my address book. I am NOT happy with this OS7 it has a lot of issues and faults. How can one stop automatic reversing of data when inputting???

CarmeloRelax. Your address book database is corrupted.
If you are syncing your Contacts with MobileMe or something else, disable it for now.
Backup your address book by going to File>Export>Address Book Archive.
Quit Address Book.
Open your Library by holding down the Option (alt) key while selecting the Go menu in Finder. Select Library. Navigate into your Application Support/AddressBook folder and delete the addressbook-v22.abcddb file.
Open Address Book. It will recreate the database from the raw data.
See how that works. If it is ok, then reenable syncing and see how that works.

We have SCCM 2012 R2. I amm trying to start OSD task sequence from bootable media. Hyper-v client gets DHCP ip and starts MDT bootable media, but could not find policy. From F8 I can ping SCCM/DP/MP server. What could be the cause?
