How to transmit iphoto videos to apple tv

The videos and photos I want to watch on apple tv are in "last import" in iphoto. On the apple tv i can see the photos from "last import", but the videos don't show up. How do I transmit the videos to apple tv?

There is a Youtube app on the Apple TV.
Other internet content would need to be through Airplay (IOS device) or mirroring (recent IOS devices or Macs)
DVD's are tricky, natively they are blocked (through mirroring) but users have reported success with VLC

I use photo camera to shoot both stills and videos these days. I would like to just see all my clips in iMovie.
I tried to use Import but it is very painful to use as iMovie PRETENDS it knows nothing about iPhoto photo library. So monkying around and drugging clips out of iPhoto "bundle" is huge hustle.
Is there is a streamline way?
Apple historically make hard to do, I even had to use iMovie HD and Handbreak to to all these conversion, but I just want things to work: I want to make a cool clip to share from my iPhoto library clips.

Normally, any compatible clips in iPhoto show up in iMovie in the Events Library under the category "iPhoto Videos". You will see this item at the top of the list in the Events Library. Clicking on it will reveal thumbnails for each clip in the Events Browser (to the right of the listing). Are you not seeing this?
If this is not the issue, you could try converting the iPhoto clips by using a program such as MPEG Streamclip. If recognised by Streamclip, convert the clips to either H.264 or AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) and import the converted file into iMovie. Both these formats work well with iMovie - AIC is in fact the codec that iMovie converts AVCHD clips to in order to edit efficiently at the individual frame level.

PS. Regarding the conversion, I notice that you've already tried iMovie HD and Handbrake - sorry! Perhaps MPEG Streamclip will do this more efficiently.

How to refresh iPhoto Videos in iMovie

Hi. I've just learned to use iPhoto for images and to put videos into iMovie via importing them to iPhoto. However, if iPhoto and iMovie are open, I have to quit iMovie to see the update of files added to iPhoto Movies. How do I refresh iPhoto Videos in iMovie without quitting iMovie?

Do you (or anyone else) know if iMovie can prompt you to delete the video files off of the phone (as iPhoto does) before dismounting the device? Otherwise, it seems that you are then forced to manually do so by hand in the cameral roll on the device.

...that copying video events within iMovie (from drive to drive) can be done by clicking and dragging the event, but by holding down the command button while doing so truly moves the project without leaving the original copy in place. This is what I would really like to do in iPhoto. "Move" the videos from iPhoto to iMovie so I don't have to keep track of each copy session and then go back and delete.
I've tried holding command with no luck. Also tried cut and paste, but it won't paste into iMovie. You can certainly "move to trash", but it sure would be nice if it had a "move to iMovie" option.
Any ideas?

How to transmit a video

Hi all,
I'm begining a study about application development for interactive digital TV, and I have found some papers and web sites about it, but I still didn't comprise the process of playing videos in a Xlet.
Supose an existing application (Xlet) that allows users to select and play a video.
How is transmited this video? Does it come from the broadcast stream or from something like a network connection?
If the video comes from the broadcast stream, does it mean the broadcast can be used to transmit different videos for different users?

For playing the mpg file take a look at this thread http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=375638. You may use the activex version of windows media player. If the MPG file does not play try the QuickTime activex version. I am quite sure you will be able to play your file in one of the two activex tool. I also support the solution using a video card supporting two monitors. This is the fancy solution. If your school do not have such a video card. You may just put all your distracting controls and indicators at the bottom of your screen. Use some paper and tape to mask controls. This is the quick and dirty solution
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted

How can I airplay video to Apple TV but still have the audio come out of my MacBook speakers?

We have a projector with Apple TV connected but facility for Audio at this time. When we airplay a video the sound is obviously not there as it's streaming it to the Apple TV. Is there anyway we can have the video going to the Apple TV for the projector but the audio still come from the MacBook Air? Current models on everything all latest software

How can i stream video over apple tv from Macbookpro?

I can stream video(youtube) off my Iphone, but not Macbook. On my Iphone an icon shows up for some video streams that allows you to select appletv to stream the content to tv, but I don't see that same Icon when browsing and playing youtubes or video on my macbook.???

Unfortunately with that speed you are not going to have a good experience with HD streaming. I would make sure everything is set to stream SD. Go into the settings - iTunes Store and you can switch there for any purchases/rentals made through them.
If you use Netflix (or other streaming sites) go into your account(s) and see if you can switch to a lower quality stream. I know Netflix has that in place.

How to email iphoto videos

Tried to export .MOV video to directory using the file export tab and setting to Original option. It seemed successful. Where can I find what I exported? No where to be found...

I had a av cord that plugged into the iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 but its not compatible with the 5 connector. Right now i have to email myself the videos in small segments and open and save on the iPad 2 to burn them. Is there an easier way to burn these from my iPhone 5 or through air play on apple tv?

Connect the phone by USB to the computer, import with image capture, iPhoto or whatever application you use to import movies, drop it into iTunes.

Photostream doesn't include video. Attach your device to your computer with a USB cable and import the video using your photo application (i.e. iPhoto)

To sync videos from iPhoto to your iPhone you would use iTunes to facilitate the syncing. Please use the attached article for information and instructions on how to sync videos.
