How to transport an entry in NWBC_CFG

Hiya,
I've added an entry to NWBC_CGF to allow us to customise a setting for NWBC. I added this via SE16 in our development system.
Now I'm stumped as to how to transport this across to the Quality system...?
Would anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks in advance!

From the SE16 screen, select the menu path below:

  • How to transport able entry

    Hello,
We use SAP 4.7.2.  We need to transport table entry.  How to do this?  Transport is not being automatically created.  I found some blog but in our system its suggestions are not working.  Please help.

See my above comment about delivery classes.
Yes, a developer on their own with SAP_ALL can even transport purchase orders, or make a complete hash out of the system security and integrity (In DEV and PROD), if nobody is checking the transports and the development system...
My understanding is that if the business process (and risks) require it, you can transport sensitive master data (from DEV) or make customizing transparent and local (in PROD). Such a change to the delivery class of the table should be tested and approved, and transported.
Also, take a look at the comments to that blog for some warnings.

  • Transport table entries directly from table with field added from append S

    Hi
Guys, I have changes one standard table , I mean I use append structure and add a new field in to that . As this is T*  ( text table ) , it also V ( view ) but as I change the field in T* table . I went in to table and maintain entries  directly into table . After that I go to menu and select all the entries and as I want to push it to my test client . I create the entries and then I transport it to test . When I saw the table that entries were missing. Then I saw my existing transport in SE10 & SE09 and I notice it just transport the Keys fields content and its not transporting the new field content which I add as append structure .
Do you guys have any idea .how to transport those entries?
    Cheers
    Usman

It’ll behave in the same way , even you give "*" in your transport . Do one thing go to table, double click on your structure and once you’re in structure <b>Go to->Extras->Enhancement category
And select radio button “1” or ‘2” and try again …</b>
    Hope this’ll give you idea!!
    <b>Pl... award the points.</b>
    Good luck

  • How to make an entry in transport tab of business system in SLD

    Hi gurus,
In PI, in SLD we maintain Business systems. In this business sytem if we go to have a detail look there is a Transport tab.
What is this used for and how to make an entry here.
I'm a basis person and i'm configuring XI for the first time. Kindly help.
    Regards,
    Priya

    1. Yes , you have to maintain target business system for the EACH BS in PROD system.
    2. Normally we do have 2 different sld one is explictly for production system. another one is for dev and QA system. Once u done creating all the systems needed for the project. we will copy all business from the dev server to production server. So production server will have all BS from Dev and  BS of production server.
    3. i am not sure about this. i dont have particular docuemnts . normally we assign target business system in transport tab. and in Intergration Directory we will export the business system from DEV and and import the business system in production system.

  • How to transport standard text in SO10 to different system.

    Hi,
I need to change the standard text in SO10. I need to change the custom text. We have a custom text id (zval) associated with it. How to transport the changes i have done from Dev to Quality to Production.
I wanted one clarification: when we create the transport manually, whether only those changes what i have done for the text can be transported or it will include all the other text which are initially present (like table entries). From the program RSTXTRAN, can you give the what are the inputs need to given.
Please let me know regarding this. Thanks in advance

    Steps..
Create a work bench CR in the transaction SE09..
Modify the task to Development correction / Repair..
    Go to the program RSTXTRAN..
In the name of correction give the task number (Not the CR number)
Give the Text Key..Your standard text name..
    Press F8...
    Press select all..
    Then Press enter..
Then press the button "Trsfr texts to corr".
Now the standard texts will be moved to a CR..
Then release the CR and move it to QA..

    Hello Dilip
Create a workbench request and add the following entries to the request:
    Object key: R3TR TABU <name of z-table>
For this object add the following value key:
    - client-independent table: '*'
    - client-dependent table (e.g. client 100): '100*'

  • Transporting table entry with primary key 120 char

    Hi all,
I have 2 separate questions which I feel are closely related.
    In the url:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cf/21eb6e446011d189700000e8322d00/content.htm
    It says:....
<i>If the key length is greater than 120, there are restrictions when transporting table entries. The key can only be specified up to a maximum of 120 places in a transport. If the key is larger than 120, table entries must be transported generically.</i>
<b>How do I transport the table entries "generically" for such a table?</b>
To further illustrate my actual problem:
My problem in the real world lies with the MIMETYPES table, maintained in trx SMW0.
I select the mime types row by row and do a <u>Table Entry > Transport Entries,</u> but get an error that says
<i>"Key entry for table MIMETYPES may only be generic"</i>.
As a result it fails to attach to my transport.
(Note: the primary key of MIMETYPES is 128 chars long)
The Diagnosis long text says "<i>The key is longer than allowed by the Change and Transport System (120 characters</i>)."
    The Procedure says:
<i>1.  Make sure that you only specify the character fields before the
first non-character key field. You must enter the key with a generic
ending. Enter the generic symbol directly after the specified part
        of the key.
    2.  You must enter the generic symbol at the latest in the 120th
        character of the key.                                              </i>
<b>What is this generic symbol that i need to insert at the 120th position??</b>

    Thanks Nick!
So the mysterious "generic character" is actually the asterisk (*). It works.
Strange tho as the error long text says to insert the "generic character" at the 120th character position of the key, but I found that altho I can save it, the transport still fails with the same error.
I tried placing the * right after the key value e.g.
    KEY123*
    and it worked.
    Thanks again!

  • How to transport the content of a DDIC table with FM TRINT_REQUEST_CHOICE

    Hi
I have created a table and added some data rows in the table.
I need to transport the added data rows of the table with FM TRINT_REQUEST_CHOICE.
    How can I do it?
which type of request shall I use?  workbench request or customizing request?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Frank
Assuming that you have not defined your Z-table as Customizing table but as application table (-> see delivery class) then I think a workbench request will do the job.
However, you can do a quick smoke test:
Create a workbench request and enter the transport object entry R3TR TABU <name of z-table> manually. If the system allows this you are on the safe side.
Next enter key entry (e.g. 100* = all entries from client 100) and release the request.
If you can see the selected entries in the export log of the request then everything is ok.

  • How To transport the Routines with UR

i HAVE THE ur WHICH I SELECTED from Object types in Transport connection now how to transport the routines
    please tell what to select
    soniya

    Hi Soniya,
If you have collected the UR, the routines would also get collected. You can verify this in the RSA1? Transport connection screen, or if you have assigned to a request, open up the request and see if you can see R3TR ROUT entries.

  • How to move the entries of table BNKAIN between systems

    Hi,
Is there any way to export the entries of table BNKAIN from one SAP system (development) to another manually? This is the table which is not transported via a transport...even in development system the "transport entries" option is not active. IN SM30 the maintenance view is not created.
Can you advice how to move the entries somehow manually?
    Thanks for any assistance!
    br,Slawek

    Hi, thanks for reply.
In fact I checked the table BNKA and the entries there are not helpful for me in the target system.
We are using there some user exit which is using the table BNKAIN and the following entries are there:
Client Bank Country Bank Key        Internal bank
    790            CA           IHC6            1
    790            DE           IHC1            1
    790             FI             IHC             1
    790            FR           IHC3            1
    790            GB           IHC4            1
    790            US           IHC5            1
I checked the properties of that table in SE11 and it is maintainable only with restrictions..thus I need to ask some other basis expert which will help me to inlcude those entries into a transport.
    Anyway thansk for your hints!
    Bye

  • How to "move" current entry in number range status for trans. req.

For our project we plan an test system(a copy of productive sytem). We do not expect any transport request from productive system).
There we will have some changes(transport requests) in workbench(less) and customizing(most of all) (e.g. Let say the request nr will be REP9000001 REP9000007).
We will release them prior to next copy of productive system copy and reimport them just after system copy.
However next transport on test system I assume will start again with REP9000001 and not REP9000008. Do you know how to “move” current entry in number range. I checked the usual table  ”nriv” but did not find suitable entry
    Thank you in advance

    Hello,
i think there is no Solution because you must inittialize
your Transportsystem after a hom. Systemcopy. There are
many Steps to do to get a useable System. There is only a
Problem if don't do that work. One of it is Transaction
    se06 that changes your Sourcesystem.

  • How to transport source system dependent objects

    Hi everybody,
I've read several questions about how to transport source dependent objects between systems and I still don't get whole picture
say I have BWDEV attached to R3DEV and
               BWQA attached to R3QA
and I want to transport transfer rules from BWDEV to BWQA
    1) should I create, by hand, the source system R3QA in BWQA and replicate its datasources in the first place?
    2) or it has to be transported from BWDEV and "some how" converted in BWQA
    3) where does the source system name mapping has to be done: in BWDEV, BWQA or in both
    4) in order to do the mapping of names in BWQA I need to create the corresponding R3QA, otherwise I don't have the entry under TargSrceSy when executing tc RSLGMP
I really apreciate an step by step process for the above scenario
    thanks a lot

    Hi Juan,
Let me try to shed some light. Before you can transport dependent objects in the BW side, you have to make sure that the necessary dependencies in the R/3 side have already been transported. For example, if you have a datasource in R/3, you have to transport that from dev to QA first (before you transport anything in BW). Then, in the BW QA box you have to replicate the datasource before you can transport any BW objects in the BW QA. Then before transporting anything to BW QA and after replicating the datasource in the BW QA you have to go to RSA1->Tools Menu->Assignment of Source System to Source System ID menu item and make sure that R3DEV is mapped to R3QA. It is only after all the said checks have been done that you can transport objects in the BWQA.
Here are my answers to your questions:
Q1: This depends on your datasource. Some datasources can be transported. Some can be created in the QA box itself. But in both cases, you have to make sure that DataSource exists in R3QA and then replicate it in the BWQA.
Q2: The conversion follows the setup in "Assignment of Source System to Source System ID" in RSA1.
Q3: The "Assignment of Source System to Source System ID" in RSA1 has to be done in the BWQA.
Q4: Yes, you have to setup the R3QA Source System in the BWQA.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to transport variants of queries

    Hi all,
I'd like to know the way to transport report variants of queries.
Trying to execute queries, you can find a "Available Variants" field on the top of Variable Entry pages of report (query). With this feature, you can save the settings of variable that you enter and re-use the settings by using saved variants.
We make lots of variants and want to transport them. But I'm not sure how to transport them. (I tried to find those objects in Transport Connection window of RSA1, but I cannot find...)

    Hi,
query variants are stored in table RSRVARIANT.
You should transport the table contents(via SE16 or SE10).
If you upgraded from 3.x, make sure you converted the variants by running report RSR_VARIANT_XPRA.
