How to transport deletions of InfoPackages

Hi,
After migrating the datasources to 7.0, I am deleting the infopackages under the datasources. Some of them are prompting for a transport request, but some do not. What is the procedure for transporting those deleted infopacks that did not prompt for a transport request? Is there a place in transport connection for deleted infopacks? I could not find any thread on this. Please help.

Hi Latha
"I tried that in vein. I captured the original infopackage first and then deleted, but when I deleted no prompt popped up."
This will work. Once you added the infopackage in one of the transport request, whatever changes you made to this , will be automatically saved into the same transport...
Cheers

  • How to transport deletion config entry

    Hi
I have deleted payment terms in Development client and want to reflect the same in Quality. It did not ask for Transport request while deleting.I am aware in case of any addtion or modifications we select the particular new/modified entry and create a transport request by including the changes.
Here I can't do that since  entry is deleted. How do I delete the entry in Quality.
    Please help.
    regards

    Hi,
    Good afternoon and greetings,
You can recreate the Transport Request in the following way
    1. By seeing the entry in QA recreate the Payment Method in Development client and at the time of saving ensure that a transport request is prompted.
    2. You will have to delete the Payment Method and SAVE IT IN THE SAME Transport request and then release it to see the effect in the QA client.
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards

  • How to transport an existing infopackage from dev to quality?

Can anyone pls give me the steps for transporting an existing infopackage from dev to qual?
I am not finding any infopackage in RSA - TRANSPORT CONNECTION
    Points guranteed.

    Here is the steps:
    1. rsa1->transport connection
    2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infopackage' and 'select objects'. Do a search here with your IP technical name.
    3. then choose your IP and 'transfer'
    4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
    5. after objects collection finished, create request. Repeat the same steps with grouping 'in dataflow before'
    6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
    7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
    8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.
    9. If everything is ok, release your request and ask your basis/security guy to move to QA.
Also you can open your InfoPackage and click on the truck symbol directly from IP window.
    Hope it helps..

  • How to transport deletion of a SAP Query

    Hi
I have a SAP query which I deleted in the development system through SQ01.    How do I transport this deletion to production ?   Is this possible, or should we be deleting it directly in production system ?
    Many thanks,
    Sanker

I am interested in this question too.
The deletion is written to the standard BEx transport. Is it possible to collect the deleted queries and transport the deletion to production somehow?

  • How to transport deletion of bw objects?

I have transported an InfoCube to my test server.  However, now I wish to delete that InfoCube.  What is the proper way to delete a bw object in the QA environment?  Do I delete the bw object in the development server, then somehow attach the deletion to a request?  Or do I have to delete the object direclty in QA?
    Thanks,
    - B

    Hi Brendon,
Once an object is transported, you need to delete it using a transport as well. When you delete your object in Dev, the system will prompt for a transport request. You can then import this in your QA (and prod) system. It is not advised to delete directly in Q, moreover the systems settings would prevent this in most companies.

    Dear Guru,
I have create Tax code N2 in QA then I delete this tax code in DEV via FTXP.
When I  transport this changes to QA,  the tax code is still exists, so I have to delete manual in QA.
I dont want it happen again in PRD.
How to transport deletion tax code ?

    Hi Callia,
Please check note 443433. When you maintain tax codes with tax jurisdiction codes, condition
    records cannot be deactivated.
    Also check these notes:

  • How to transport a deleted query?

I have deleted one query in developmeny system. I thought it will ask for tranport request. But it did not ask for any transport requast. Now it is deleted from development system. Please let me know how to transport this change in production?

    Hi Saikat,
Was this query transported to the prod system, or created directlyin prod? If you have transported the query, you would not be able to delete without first assigning a transport request to the BEx dev class...check if there is any request assigned to the BEx dev class (RSA1 > transport connection)

  • How to transport a Deleted Table entry

is there a way of transporting deletions of table entries.
For example. I'm dealing with a table say such as T529U. So we already have value there for active, inactive, retiree, withdrawn. Say I wanted to delete retiree from the selection list.
I go to our DEV and make the deletion. I manually create a transport of the entire table and transport it to our QA system. When I do so, the table still remains the same. The only way the record would be changed would be if it was new or had the same key (thus overwriting). How do you remove and transport (so you don't have to do it in all instances).
any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello
A delete should be a change just like any other change and should be recorded on a change request.  After releasing the change request you should be able to transport that delete to your QA and PRD systems as needed.
As a general rule I would not transport the complete table.  There is too much risk that unintended changes get transported.
Are other changes to your table being recorded on a transport request?
If you have another environment(sandbox or project?)  try the delete in that environment to convince yourself that it does(or does not )work.

  • How could we delete transport request and task(the released one)

    Hello
We have a released transport task(not request). Transport request is not released.
How could we delete transport request and task(the released one). Namely we would not like to transport it to production

Hi, never delete directly in table.
There are more tables which depends each other...
Here, you can find nice example how to do it: Help on ABAP: Few Tips for Transport Request Manipulation
Using program: RDDIT076 and changing status.

    Hi,
It is easilly possible to delete the cofile and the datafile of the released transport request but why would you need to do that ?
It is also possible to delete a transport request in the transport tables but it is a very bad idea and could even be seen as a temptative to hide a forbidden action in the system.
It will be seen by a security audit as this would create a hole in the request order numbering.
You would need to use direct database access to delete a released transport request.
As I told you before, I would NOT do it as it is hasardous et may generate security audit problems.
You can also destroy your transport system.
Transport requests are stored in table E070.
We only modify the e070 table after system copy by database refresh to reset the next transport request number. It is done by inserting a line in the table. We never delete inside this table.
Use at your own risk !

    Raj.

  • How to Transport LSMW to development server to Prodution server

    Hi all,
I would like to know how we transport LSMW(project, sub-project, Object) from development server to Production server.
    Thanks
    Vipin Nagpal

    Hi Vipin,
Actually, it depends based upon the requirement. There are some advantages and disadvantages with both of the methods.
See the following documentation. I think this would be helpful for you and based upon your requirement you proceed further.
                 <b>Transport LSMW Projects</b>
The LSM Workbench provides data transport for a project via both the SAP transport system and down-/upload. (Excluded are the presettings for IDoc inbound processing. These presettings should be manually created in every SAP system and every client.)
    <b>1. Generate Change Request</b>
Choosing this function creates an SAP change request containing all information about an LSMW project. This SAP change request can be exported / imported with the usual means of SAP correction and transporting. You can find this function in the initial screen under Extras -> Create change request.
When transporting LSMW data this way, you can trace the transports any time in SAP correction and transporting.
<b>Note 1</b>: When importing such a request, the complete project is deleted from the target system first. It is then created again.
<b>Note 2</b>: When exporting the transport request, all changes to the selected project made until the time of export are entered (not only until the time of creation of the transport request.)
    <b>2. Export Project</b>
In the initial screen, select Extras &#61664; Export project. This first displays the structure tree of the selected project. Via Select / Deselect you can select whether the entire project or parts of the project are exported. Then select Export. The program then creates an ASCII file.
Note: The selected elements are exported together with their documentation
<b>3.Import Project</b>The exported mapping and rules can be imported into another SAP system.
On the selection screen, select Extras -> Import. The program then prompts you to enter the name of the PC file. The file is imported and the contents are analyzed. After the analysis, a list of the subprojects and objects found is displayed.
You can now mark the objects to be imported. Project data existing already are check-marked. They are overwritten by the import.
You can prevent a project already existing in the target system from being overwritten by using function "Import under different name".
Note: The selected elements are imported together with their documentation.
If you feel this is helpful, don't forget to reward points.

  • How do I delete locators in Logic Pro 8?

    Hi there,
How do I delete locators in Logic Pro 8?
It seems I created them mistakenly, now I cannot delete them.  I don't want to use them and
I don't need to cycle anything.  I'm trying to set markers accurately to timecode on a video,
but it seems the locators are preventing me from doing so?!!  I'm trying to match accurately
to the timecode frame and when I reach the unwanted locator it prevents me from moving
up a frame to the frame I want.
    Thanks
    Simon

You can easily move locaters by dragging them. You disable them by turning off cycle mode in the transport bar. They are always there but when disabled should not be a problem.

  • Transport deletion of Substitution step

    Hi,
I'd like to delete one of the steps in FI substitution.
Does anyone know how to transport the deletion of substitution step?
Though I create the transport request via T-CD GCT0 after I delete the target step, the transport object still contains the deleted step.
Your help would be much appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Mari

    Hi Preeti,
Thank you so much for your response.
But could you please allow me to ask an additional question?
I have tried according to your instruction, and here I've got a work bench request.
But in SE01, I can still see the deleted step.
How can I verify if this request is for deletion?
The step 3 in the attached picture is the deleted one.
Thank you very much for your help in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Mari
