How to install and configure ms exchange server 2007 both role hub and edge transport role in one network

    Hi,
Edge role is design for perimeter networks, to keep security risks minimum.  So it’s not recommended to have edge role in internal network. Must have separate network or subnet for edge services.
If you are playing around it in labs, then you can put edge role within same subnet as other exchange roles and no specific requirements in that case.
    Thanks.

  • How to transport configuration in E-sourcing

    Hello Experts,
I am new to E- sourcing,
Could you please help me in knowing, How can we transport the configuration of e-sourcing from Development to Production system.
    Cheers
    Naveena Shetty

    Hi Naveena and Vijay
Please see the documentation below for an excerpt on how to do the transport migration SAP provides something called as SAP OMF Object Migration facility toolIf you have the license for ESO, you can actually go ahead and check for this
This is how it works, lets take an example
The SAP Object Migration Facility (OMF) is designed to enable the movement of objects from a test or staging environment to a production environment. The process for utilizing the Object Migration Facility requires definition and modification of objects in a test or staging (source) environment followed by creation of an Object Migration Archive (OMA) used to import the
objects into the production (target) environment. The recommended usage of this facility is to complete object definition and implementation on the source system, followed by creation of an archive containing all datasets, which is then imported into the target system. Once this full import is completed, establishing the set of objects common to the source and target systems, partial exports may be created and used to update the target system with changes made to the source system
Note, however, that the use of partial exports requires careful consideration of the
interdependencies between objects. For example, suppose you have defined a new RFx template
object in a source system that uses a Unit of Measure that was defined since the time of the full
object migration from the source to the target system. Also suppose that you want to migrate the
new template from the source to the target system. In this simple case, migration of the
template without migration of the new Unit of Measure will fail, since the reference to the Unit of
Measure will not be resolved during import of the template.
The solution in this case is to create an export package of both RFx Templates and Units of
Measure. When this package is imported, the Units of Measure will be imported prior to the RFx
Templates, so that when the template is imported, the reference to the Unit of Measure will be
resolved and the import will succeed.
    Implementation Note:
One object relationship which is encoded in the system but not reflected in the reference guide is
a relationship between the Extension Definition and Dynamic Class Metadata classes of objects. If
either of these object classes is added to an export package, both object classes must be added.
    Export Data:
You can export master data from SAPE-Sourcing in the form of OMA files, an XML format used
for object migration. For details on object migration, see Exporting objects for migration.
This section describes how to create and edit an export package.
Field Help for Export Package Header page
Display Name: Type a name for the export package.
Description: Type a description of the export package.
    Creating an Export Package:
You export master data from SAP® E-Sourcing in the form of OMA files, an XML format used for
object migration. You can create an export package, described by one or more sets of
instructions, for immediate or future export. For details on object migration, see Exporting
    objects for migration.
You can also export the same package multiple times as needed. For example, you might create
a package and manually export it weekly or monthly.
Steps to Create an Export Package:
    - Click Setup in the toolbar at the top of the page.
    - In the Import and Export Tools section of System Administration, select Export Data from the
    drop-down list and click OK.
    - On the Export Package List page, click Create.
    - On the Header page, fill in the fields for basic export package information.
    - Under Instructions, click Add to build a set of instructions for an export package.
    - Follow the prompts in the wizard to finish adding the package. For more information on this
    wizard, see Export Data.
    - Optionally, repeat steps 5 and 6 to create additional sets of instructions if multiple types of
data should be exported at the same time.
    - Under Exports, click Add to begin the export. If you have created multiple sets of
instructions, the data indicated by each set will be exported.
    - In the New Export Package Header page, click the Save button in the toolbar. The export
begins in the background. You cannot make changes to this Header page.
    - Click the Close icon or use the breadcrumbs to return to the Export Package Header page.
    - Click the Document button in the toolbar and select Refresh. The status of the export
    appears in the Exports table.
    Exporting an Existing Export Package:

  • How to transport FM retraction configuration if source-system changes?

    Hi experts,
I have configured FM retraction in ERP through SPRO connecting it to my Dev source system in my Dev ERP. What do I need to do to transport this configuration to my production ERP and make sure the BI source-system changes from Dev to Prod as well? Is there some kind of souce-system mapping as there is in the BI side for the extraction?
For example, I have everything set-up for source-system BWD and I want it to change to BWP when I transport the configuration from ERP dev to ERP prod.
    Thanks

  • How to transport number range group Configuration in Material Master

But when i want to transport this config. to other sever, it is only transporting the interval but not the assignment done to that group. In the menu bar only Interval transport option is there.

  • How to transport the object in XI?

    Hi friends,
Anybody can give me the idea or any document for transporting the objects in XI from Development system to Quality system. As per my knowledge we can transport using File and CMS, but i don't have clear idea. Anybody explain me clearly or provide me any document?

    Hi,
There are two ways to Transport XI objects-
    1) File Import/Export
    2) CMS
CMS is somewhat standard way to do. Becuase you can track the objects. But for this you need to install the CMS separately.
just go thru these quick links-

  • How to transport requests from development  to production server

    hi gurus
    i am new to SDN
can u pls give me detailed information how to transport requests from development server to production server?if possible give me screen shot documents
    regards
    surya

    Hi
    Transporting
There are help pages that discuss creation of transports.
In simple terms, you: create a transport package
add objects to the package  export the package, plus optionally any related objects to a predefined folder/directory on the portal server into a file with an extension of .EPA copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your QA system and import it  test the contents on the QA system  copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your production system and import it  Create a transport package file
Here is the step by step procedure to create a transport package:
    For Export
    1. Go to system administration, and click on transport?export.
    2. In the middle pane, select the folder you want to export and right click on the Transport Package. 3. Fill in the General Properties i.e the name of the package, id and description. 4. And say finish and open the object for editing.
    5. When the object has been opened then right click on the object you want to transport, and say "Add object to the Transport Package".
    6. Check the checkbox of the item u have added and see the properties if it has been added properly. 7. Now click on the save button.
    8. After the object is saved, click on the export button. 9. U will have an option to select where to store the .epa file which will be generated. U can overwrite an existing one by selecting the browse button, or store it with the generated name in the location it automatically generates. 10. Now Click on the Start Export button.
    11. once the export is completed, it shows a report on how much time is taken to generate the .epa file. 12. Here there is an option for downloading the .epa file. Click on the link and download the file. This file is ready to be uploaded into any other EP Server.
    For Import:
Pre-requisites: You have to copy the .epa file created while export into the local drive. Optionally, you have to manually copy the .epa file generated in the export function into the Import directory of the server ie. chooseFollow the steps below for importing a certain file. 1. Go to System Administration in the portal, and click on Transport?Import. 2. For the source of the package, Click on the radio button Server for the .epa file you have copied lately. Else, click on the radio button on client if you are operating in the client and select the .epa file you have stored on the local drive. 3. Now select the file from the browse option and click on Upload.
    4. Now click on the import button. 5. Once the import process is finished, the report is shown. In the whole process, the par files are not included in the .epa files. For the par files to be included into the .epa files then we have to change the pcdStartup.properties file in the server. The property to be changed is Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeObjectTypesAfterRuleProcessing: Keep this property's value as empty for enabling the par files to be uploaded into the .epa. You can check for this property in the portal in the following -System Administration-Support-Portal Content Directory-PCD Configuration.

  • LSADMIN CMS authorization problem - How To Transport XI Content Using CMS

We are configuring CMS using the "How To Transport XI Content Using CMS".  For the LSADMIN user we have added the SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER and SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER roles.  We have followed all of the steps in the guide.
The problem we are encountering is that when we define the domain but put in the LSADMIN as the user, we get an error - "SLD (URL http://server:50000) server exception: HTTP response code: 403 Forbidden"
We then gave the LSADMIN all of the roles of XISUPER and restarted the J2EE engine.  We still have the same problem.  So we changed the CMS User to be XISUPER and we could save the domain.  Now, we have another problem - when we try to export from dev using CMS, we get the following problem:
"Sent on 3/9/06 at 1:26 PM: Unable to establish connection to CMS server http://servername:50000. Unable to transfer the following transport lists:  Export list for ...
Details: unknown exception: com.sap.cms.util.exception.conf.CMSCFinderException: Workspace name does not exist: com.sap.cms.util.exception.conf.CMSCFinderException: Workspace name does not exist: version=0,dtrWSName=
Check the availability of the CMS and the user authorizations and send the transport request again if necessary
We are on SP16.  Anyone encountered this issue?
    Regards,
    Jay

Here are all of roles we have given LSADMIN in client 100:
    SAP_CMS_ADMINISTRATOR
    SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER
    SAP_SLD_GUEST
    SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER
    SAP_XI_BPE_MONITOR_ABAP
    SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER
    SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER
    SAP_XI_DEMOAPP
    SAP_XI_DEVELOPER
    SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_ABAP
    SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
    SAP_XI_MONITOR
    SAP_XI_MONITOR_ABAP
    SAP_XI_MONITOR_J2EE
But on the J2EE side, we only see the following roles for LSADMIN:
    - Authenticated Users Built-in Group Authenticated Users
    - Everyone Built-in Group Everyone
    - SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER Exchange Infrastructure: Change Management Service User
I checked client 000, and noticed that LSADMIN only had the SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER.  So this the problem.  I added all of the roles to LSADMIN in client 000 and restarted J2EE and now i can see all of the roles under the LSADMIN user in UME.
We noticed the problem that our UME configuration was pointing to client 000 and not client 100.  If we go to Visual administrator and go to the Services->UME Provider, we see that - ume.r3.connection.master.client points to client 000.  We will need to change this.
That was the issue.  UME was pointing to the wrong ABAP client.  I appreciate all of your help.

    Jay

  • Transport OBN Configuration in Portal

    Dear All,
I want to know about how to transport the OBN (Business Object) configuration from one portal to another portal. Is there any specific steps need to be followed like Portal content transport. I searched in SAP Help but i didn't get any idea. I am working in EP7.0 EHP1.
    Please share your idea.
    Thanks & Regards
    Prakash T

    Hi Prakash,
I would suggest you to use portal export functionality
System administration >> Transport >> Transport Package >> Export >> Portal Content >> right click and "New Transport Package"
Inside this transport package you should ensure you are exporting the Business Object, OBN source(iview that is triggering the OBN navigation) and OBN targets(from each OBN operation you are able to check the targets).
In order to ensure you are selecting the correct business object you can do the following:
Go to Content Administration >> Portal content >> Search tab
put here the information in following format:
    <system_alias>.<business_object_name> (it is Case sensitive)
Then select "business object" as object type and press "search"
From the results you can right click in the result and "Locate in portal catalog"
Then you can add this object to your transport package.
After importing this content you should be able to use the OBN successfully there.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Transporting GRC Configuration from Dev to Quality

    Hi,
I am in the process of wrapping up configuration in Dev for the GRC applications. I would like some information on how to transport configuration of Workflows (initiators, stages, etc..), Mitigation controls, Rules/Risks in CC, FF configuration.
Also has anubody configured a User Exit for FireFighter IDs so as to now allow them to login directly into the backend.
    Thanks in advance.

AE and CC both have methods of moving content from one system to another.
In AE have a look at Configuration -> Initial System Data. The Export Data option will allow you to move Roles and Workflow conifg etc. It will create a compressed filed that you will then insert into the destination instance.
In CC you can download your rule set and upload it into the destination system. Go to Rule Architect -> Utilities -> Export Rules. A text file will be created that you can then import into the destination instance.
In FF the only configuration that I know you can transport is the defintion of the Reason Codes. All other "config" data will have to be redefined in the destination system/client.
Lastly, I have implemented the User Exit correction a couple of times now. It works as designed. Once applied to your system, when a firefighter ID is used to log directly onto SAP a message box will appear stating that direct logons with firefighter IDs are not allowed.
    Hope this helps
